I first met Tyler and Tri County in the summer of 2022 when I was getting quotes from companies to replace all of the original windows of my house (and replace a French door). At the time, I got about 10 quotes from 10 different companies and Tri County was at the top of the list but their window manufacturer (which offers incredible quality) added too much of a markup for making their windows black instead of white. I ended up choosing a different contractor/company and I still somewhat regret that decision not to go with them back in 2022. However, both Tyler and Tri County left a lasting impression on me based on their thoroughness and efficiency when it came to getting me what I needed or questions answered. Fast forward to Fall of 2024, my house got hit by a major hailstorm with 1 inch sized hail balls. I knew it was bad when I had dozens of storm chaser companies knock on my door asking if they could inspect my roof. Instead of calling any of them back, I immediately reached out to Tyler and asked if he could help. Tyler told me although working with insurance companies is not the focus of Tri County, he personally had prior experience at other companies that did exactly that - it put him in a unique position in my eyes for Tri County to bring quality/accountability of work yet also have the background to ensure getting a claim approved by my insurance company. I decided to work with him. Tyler was there every step of the way in terms of getting on the roof himself, taking tons of pictures, explaining to me that although he couldn't "guarantee" the insurance claim would be approved, he said it's one of the worst hail damage he's ever seen and insurance companies have approved roof replacements for way less damage. I filed the claim and we were on our way. He showed up when the insurance adjusters came and even was up there pointing out and circling in chalk all the areas of damage so the adjuster didn't miss it. We were doing all of this BEFORE I had even signed any type of contract with Tri County. I was NEVER pressured into immediately signing one of those shady, binding exclusive-right-to-work contract with Tri County. Tyler was just helpful. Always. Like a true professional acting with integrity. He was extremely patient with my wife and I when we took forever deciding on roof shingle colors, trim/gutter colors, changing the scope of work to add more, etc. I must have asked him a hundred questions throughout and he always answered at-length so I was never surprised by anything. The claim was ultimately approved and I signed the contract with Tri County to do the work. Less than a week later, I signed another contract with them to replace my front door (instead of the other contractor I used back in 2022) as it was on my list of to-do's for awhile and I simply wanted to give Tyler more business based on all of my positive interactions with him. Now that all of the work is complete - I can 100% say it was one of the best decision I've made because the crews doing the job were just as professional, efficient, and provided incredible quality in their work (caulking was PERFECT). When installing my front door, they were the first crew to ask me questions about how I wanted the color design to look like before they started. And I'm glad they did because I changed my mind twice in an hour and they were totally flexible to ensure the desired end state was accomplished. Most other crews would have just showed up, started the work, and knocked on my door when it was finished - where more than likely I would have been like "What the Eff? That's NOT how I wanted that to look!" And it would have been a huge debacle to undo it. Not with Tri County. Tim was very responsive, professional, and patient throughout the process, and although we got a few estimates from other local companies, we are glad we went with Tim. Turnaround on the windows was quicker than we expected (and compared to estimates from other companies), and Tri County's prices were very reasonable. Tim answered all our questions thoroughly and patiently, and we appreciated his honest opinions and great insights throughout our decisionmaking process. The quality of the workmanship was top notch and all for a good value. Our friend recommended them after she had the same experience. I met with Scott about two years ago and received a quote on replacing some windows and doors in my house. Scott came out to the house, brought samples, and really educated me on what replacing your windows entails from products to process. All was fantastic, but we just weren't ready to "pull the trigger." Fast forward to August of 2017, I contact Scott again seeking a quote for a sliding glass door for our house and his price blew the competition out of the water. In about three weeks, the order was placed and our door was installed. I can't tell you how impressed my husband and I were with Tri County. When I saw the sliding door, my response was: "I want to replace EVERY window in this house, now." The company's communication with customers is wonderful-- I wouldn't go more than an hour or so after emailing them to ask yet another question before I got a response. The installation was quick, the workers are super nice and efficient (and incredibly CLEAN... not a trace of dust or paint left behind!!) and Scott could not have been more helpful throughout the entire project. I HIGHLY recommend this company and look forward to working with Tri-County again in the future. I loved working with a local company too, not some big company with a salesperson out to make a buck. I dealt with Scott the owner the whole time, and he always had our best interest in mind about what made sense for our home and our budget. If a good salesman is what you are searching for then Tri County Windows and Siding is for you. We had no problems with the meet and greet and ordering process that took place with Scott. However, from that point forward you are just an order number. We were told the door would arrive in 4-6 weeks. Having not heard a word at the end of week six, I inquired about the status. Wouldn't you know our door had just arrived that morning! So we were told what day we should be available for installation. The installation crew was good, fast, polite and cleaned up after themselves very well. Scott never made it out to inspect the work. Instead he initiated text conversations citing that his crew lead informed him the work was completed and went well. He continued the text with providing the balance due and address. I texted him a question about the quality of the door and who the person he cited as his crew lead. (The person he cited as his crew lead was not part of the team installing my door.) Scott returned his text conversation by asking who he was talking to so he could see which job he was referencing.; keeping in mind he initiated the conversation to this number and quoted the balance due. The door isn't a bad product, but I'm not seeing where the quality difference justifies the price differences of other products. It's too bad things panned out the way they did. We were hoping the reviews lived up to their hype as we have 36 windows to be replaced sometime in the future. Back to the research. read more

I needed to replace ALL of the windows in our house, as the seals had failed so they were foggy and inefficient. I looked into various sellers, even the super high-pressure, sign-today bandits over at Thompson Creek. I turned to our HOA facebook group, and I got several positive recommendations for Tri County and its owner, Scott Mapel, a local firefigher. I invited him over, and he helped me pick the right window line and price, and he also gave me several cost-saving ideas. I ended up going with him, for a price half that of the "best" price from Thompson Creek. We could not be more pleased with Tri-County. Our experience started on a positive note when we called for an appointment to arrange an estimate. The Tri-County rep was friendly and professional. Scott Maple showed up at the agreed upon time. We discussed the renovations and discussed assorted options. Scott listened to what we wanted and provided advice on a wide-variety of available options. He did not push expensive upgrades. Actually, there were certain upgrades that he recommended we not select. It was obvious from this initial meeting that Scott has a lot of experience in this business. He knew his product lines and fully understood the actual installation process (he wasn't just a "salesman" but someone who knew the entire process). The same could not be said for some of the other companies we called. The four separate projects were completed on four separate days. Each time, the crews showed up on time, worked efficiently and cleaned up afterward. The workmanship was fantastic. In terms of quality of work, perhaps one of the best I've ever had at my current house. Throughout the entire process, from getting an estimate to completion of the project, Tri-County was very responsive and active. Calls and emails were returned immediately. Every question was answered. Tri-County's prices were very competitive. Some contractors came in with really high prices but negotiated down significantly. Others offered slightly lower prices at the outset but the estimate process did not go well (late arrival, delayed return calls, etc.).
