Recently visited Viridian. What a well-planned development. The lakes, the open space, the layout are all nice. Perfectly situated between Dallas and Fort Worth in Arlington, it is ideal for those wanting access to the two bigger cities in a preserve-like setting. It's 20 minutes either way. As the third largest city in the Metroplex, Arlington is quickly coming in to its own with plenty of development, renewal, activity in the sports district and museums. Many people refer to the North Texas megalopolis as DFW, but after my recent visits it might be more accurate to call it DFWA. Arlington certainly adds a lot to the equation in population and Viridian is a very pleasing component of its growing vitality. read more

This is our home away from home. This community is lovely, safe, and wonderful. My family loves the community events.

My son and daughter-in-law moved to the DFW area and have a home near but not in Viridian. My wife and I have looked at models in this neighborhood as a second home from Florida or possibly a place to retire. The community has a great number of options to keep yourself busy and healthy. The marina at the lake have a number of non-motorized boating options ‍ that look like you can rent. Several pools , beach with a volleyball ‍court. Tennis and pickle ball courts as well. Miles of sidewalks for biking ‍ and walking ‍. We have not retired yet but I will be keeping an eye on this location when we do. read more

My husband and I bought here in 2020 in the Elements, we love it here, but the HOA fees are ridiculous, they have gone up every year, not to mention, paying a HOA fee for the Big V "Viridian " we don't ever use anything in the front, which is considered the Big V. an I don't remember if that was mentioned during our purchase. The only thing we thought was the $279.00 a month was for the Elements HOA fees only. Our quality assessment went from $279 a month to paying $323.00 a month. Had we known that some of our HOA fees were a part of the Big V, we would have made a different decision in where we purchased! We are trying to retire and not spend all our life savings at retirement . For the money we spend, we only have one small facility for functions. Our community have outgrown the multipurpose facility, and when they have something for our community, if you dont sign up for it early, you will be put on a waiting list. Often, the waiting list stays full until the day of the function. Let me mention that the facility can not be used for personal use. You would think that with the money we spend, they would allow the homeowners that pay these high HOA fees to rent it out at no cost! Also, on Beaver Creek, Dr. It's a race track. They don't respect that this is an active adult community. They speed through Beaver Creek Dr, like it's a highway. And no one cares. One of my neighbors' grandchild dog was run over by a speeder that did not stop. Next time, it might be one of us seniors I don't want to forget the lawn service it sucks! They destroy everything inside your flower bed. We have very small yards, and they use riding lawnmower equipment that have destroyed my stone borders around my trees and flowerbed .Lastly we don't have a board that represents the Elements, everyone that's on the board or has been appointed for the board doesn't live in The Elements, they live in the big V of Viridian. And careless what happens in the Elements. That's why I gave them a 3 star. Now, don't get me wrong, we love our home. DW is an amazing builder! read more

I've lived here in Viridian for about 9 months but started interacting with the community well before that. The builder's offices are now located near what is currently the back of the community, referred to as the "model home village." You can go in there anytime during the daylight hours just about. Most hold hours 9am-7pm but may have more-specific hours or happen to be out with a potential buyer, so I recommend calling ahead of time if you're looking. Viridian offers many homes to choose from whether you're building brand new or purchasing pre-owned. I believe there are currently 8 builders building homes here. I personally chose David Weekley, but they're not the best new homeowner experience in my opinion so shop around first. There are 5 pools currently, one of which is adult-only (must show 21+ ID to enter the gate). The other pools are badge-access only, each homeowner in the community gets two cards and are allowed four guests per household (not per card). This is strictly enforced. Also, in the community are beaches, trails, 15+ parks and waterways all open to the public. There are many ducks and geese year-round, but you'll also find lots of other wild birds and animals. This is a more-natural community, although it's very modern too. Tennis courts were just finished and are now open. The community seems to expand every day. With over 300 events planned throughout the year, I'm told that number grows every year. These activities include crafts, games, exercise and stuff for all ages. We have a couple 5k runs, Dive-In Movies and an Artisan Market every month except for just a few. Viridian is a great place to call home! read more

Viridian is the new place in town everyone's moving to and I can see why. Its always clean, well-maintained&adorned with flowers or seasonal decorations. It's a well constructed community that offers great amenities enhancing lifestyle. An active life is steps away from outside your home. There currently is a lake, boating, pedestrian-friendly trails, tennis courts, basketball courts, volleyball court, beach, clubhouse, community pools, parks, and frequent neighborhood events. Future phases in plan for dining&shopping in front area of neighborhood. I can't wait to see those completed! It's going to be bumpin'. All the townhomes&houses here are so charming! Very modern laidback suburban vibes. All homes are built recently and many more to come; thus, you can rest assured your new home will be fresh, modern and include all the latest appliances. The neighborhoods are safe and everyone in the community is friendly. You'll always have people saying hello to you in passing. Location is minutes away from local grocery stores (Kroger, Walmart, Tom Thumb) and dining/shopping straight down on Collins. It is not directly located by highways, so does take a few minutes driving local to get on 183, 360 or I30. Whether you're looking to become a first time homeowner, finding a family-friendly home, wanting change, or downsizing, Viridian is an awesome place to live! read more

Not a bad residential community. Super safe, family friendly, has lots of running and hiking and walking trails and easy to navigate within. Four and not five stars due to landfill smell many times during the week and overpriced homes with no or very very tiny patio. :-( read more

I think it's a nice place and my daughter and her family love it there ... we love to visit and was considering moving into the 55 and above area but not after this mornings encounter ... plain and simple some of the old folks are not nice ... they are actually nasty ... I would not want them as a neighbor and you all need to know that! My daughter lives in the family side ... I went to play Pickleball and after one game and being welcomed by all but one lady she told me I needed to leave and go play on the other side ... she told me how they pay extra money than the Viridian family section and I needed again to go play there ... I'm 71 yrs old and felt I belonged on the 55 and above courts ... she was not nice at ... a KAREN ha ha ... so David Weekly keep this woman away from potential buyers!! Warning******* If you work the night shift or sleep late beware! The lawn crews start at 7:00am. Our bedroom is downstairs on the front. The lawn crews are loud and will wake you up every week. Very annoying. If I had known this we would not have bought here. I am typing this as the mowers are cutting the grass outside my bedroom window. I asked if they could cut the common areas first to give us a little more sleeping time and was told the lawn crews are allowed to start at 7:00am. No help from Viridian. I can't tell you how annoying this is. Make sure before you buy here. read more

Wonderful community in Northeast Arlington. Lovely homes right on Lake Viridian. Safe, gated, and luxurious at its finest. The homes are beautiful and the community is super family-friendly. The Viridian Club is goregous. Lovely views of the lake and great pools and tennis courts. Close to shopping, car dealerships, and entertainment. One of my favorite communities! read more

It's an awesome neighborhood. People are extremely friendly and always out, very positive energy. If one of your biggest reasons you want to live here is the "amentities" then might want to come tour on weekends, about the only thing that is residents only is the pools. Still plenty of trails and parks, just parking for pool is blocked off a good majority of the time, parking by the lake is all taken up by people visiting the lake. So you will have to walk from your house. The VRA is not very responsive to homeowners. So do not plan on them taking care of any issues you see with development dead plants, peoples yards overgrown, it is a large area to manage but if everyone is paying at least $245 a quarter you think they could hire people to get out and check on the community and the head of the VRA can never really answer a question, sounds like he works for developer more than looking out for best interest of homeowners. Great place to raise your family though. I feel safe with my kids going out riding bikes just tell them to avoid the lake area. Teens come to lake cause issues, then speed up and down Viridian Park ln. still safe and secure just avoid lake area during weekends. You just have to decide if extra taxes and HOA fees make it right for you. If you enjoy walking/running and biking along with the parks it is great. If you want to be pool side, on beach or play sand volleyball unless you get there very early good luck. We are happy except what you get for taxes and HOA fees leave a little to be desired, 1.9% property tax and at least $1000 a year in HOA fees, seems a little steep but my family and I enjoy the trails. Just had to figure out alternative scenario for pool and lake which is a little heart breaking. Just giving my honest opinion. I hear they plan on building more pools but I have no idea when that will happen. Figured I would just give my honest opinion. Some people on here seem to get offended when you point out the issues that can clearly be seen on the "Nextdoor " app. read more

I live in the Viridian, but recommend ONLY buying a used home. My experience with a new home builder, Grenidier Homes, was negative. Grenadier Homes unilaterally, and unexpectedly, rescinded my contract for a town home in the Viridian community 10 months after I signed the contract. My strong suggestion is to have an attorney review the contract before purchasing a new home from Grenadier in the Viridian subdivision. read more
