This otherwise reputable painting company was contracted to paint 5 rooms (kitchen, three bathrooms…read moreand a finished basement room), a foyer and a hallway in our house during a renovation. When it was "completed" we noticed that there was (1) no signs of any wall prep/sanding/repair, (2) primer paint visible throughout after they claimed to paint "two coats" of wall color paint and (3) areas of the bathroom with no new primer or paint. They used our hot water heater's emergency tap to clean their paint sprayer, leaving an inch of black dust over the entire heater closet. They left a ladder and several tools behind for 3 months. We did give FTP a chance to fix (or honestly complete) the original two coats during a follow-up walk-through that we requested. The manager was belligerent and irritated by us bringing attention to large swaths of unpainted wall and he consistently denied those areas had not "had two coats applied". Regardless, another painter from their company came some time later and did some trim work that was unfinished and some touch up. But two of the bathrooms remain half finished and will require us to personally re-paint their "professional work". To have a local favorite painter in town treat our local house carelessly hurt a lot. We understand that summer labor shortages sometimes mean hiring less qualified and experienced painters but this was a sub-DIY job and seemed to be an inconvenience. Which would be fine if we were not paying premium painter prices.

They were the most professional group of painters I have ever had work for me. The owner is…read moreextremely knowledgeable of products and services and is very efficient with the time set forth about completion. I was assured that the work was guaranteed and that would be fixed if anything had needed it.. (Although nothing was needed). I felt very comfortable with them around they were aware of pets and very friendly to children. The company is fully insured and listened with workmans comp and liability and insurance which most company's don't tell you but let you believe they have when actually they don't. (However not to be confused this company White Painting co. Does have all of these). White painting was the most professional and well run painting company I have ever had the privilege to meet and recommend them to anyone looking for a smooth and efficient job well done.

I'm not sure who you are talking about, but it's certainly not may experience with Kelleher…read morepainting. I first started using Tim and his crew a few years ago to fix a water stain and paint two rooms, everything went well and the job was done very professionally. I have had them back several more times since then, with everything looking great, clean and finished in a timely manner. They have painted the exterior of my house, including three porches, my newly designed bath and bedroom and a newly finished basement - would I ask them back absolutely! My house is a little unique in that it's a post and beam home. Last winter I had some water damage to the beams, after discussing the job with Tim he was honest enough to say this was something he doesn't deal with all the time, but had someone in Boston he wanted to consult with. After looking into my situation a little further with his colleague he felt better prepared to do the job and it came out great. The bottom line here is Kelleher painting has been in business for many years and prior to my hiring him I would often see his truck at the big Federalist home on High st Newburyport, these are some of the nicest homes in the area, it's no surprise they would have him care for there homes. Therefor I had no hesitation with calling them to work on my house.

Regrettably much the same experience as the above. The team were friendly and courteous…read morethroughout, however the quality of work left much to be desired, we ended up repainting sections ourselves owing to the painters inability to follow even basic instructions and complete a professional job. Cutting in was sloppy at best, paint all over roof beams, banister rails and wooden floors, with multiple areas not receiving any paint whatsoever. Areas of the walls were 'skimmed' with plaster excessively and ended up with a completely different finish post painting with a roller. Trim and Molding, light fittings etc were left with large brush marks and were clearly rushed. Those areas not painted with a roller clearly had original paint showing through. Upon initially highlighting our concerns Tim came out promptly, apologized and sent his contractor out again TWICE. We marked areas of concern with tape and even walked through the property explaining the gaps. Despite this - we're left with areas with no paint, poor finish, brush marks and having to clean paint of oak beams and ceilings. Same story as the other review. Tim is such a nice guy but contracts out his work (and thus his reputation) to sloppy crew members who let him down by taking a rushed unprofessional approach. In the end we ended up repainting portions of the walls ourselves. The price tag would suggest this would be a top notch job - far from the case. V. Disappointing.
