I have worked with Albion Contracting for several projects over the last year and on each project they have completed exceptional work. On the first project they gave our antique house an amazing facelift by repairing and painting the exterior. Anyone with an old house knows that the prep is half the job. In our case it was 3/4 of the job! But Albion's staff who have been with Greg Patterson's company for years, are experienced craftsmen so they were able to address needed repairs as they prepped the house prior to painting without cutting corners! Greg, gave us a detailed quote for the job based on the cost of the supplies and labor, only after a careful inspection of surfaces that would require repair or replacement due to age and rot. Knowing that there might be unforeseen structural repairs with identified wood rot, Greg met with us daily as the project progressed, to decide what repairs we wanted to address or table, based on our budget and needs. Instead of giving us an exaggerated add-on cost for a 'change in contract' ( as many contractors will do ) or an overly padded estimate, all work added was calculated by labor and supply costs ... makes for satisfied costumer and contractor. On another project Albion Contracting was able to replace a crumbling horsehair plaster bedroom ceiling without disturbing the original crown molding. The job was spotless while respecting the historical character of the room. More recently, the dark and cold dining room was warmed up by insulating and hanging a ceiling, installing lighting and painting surfaces. Greg/Albion Contacting was recommended to me through friends who knew a lot about renovating old houses. The first project was to repaint the entire interior. What I especially liked was that Greg acted as a design consultant with the colors. It is my first first home so I needed reassurance. His painting crew did a meticulous job with transforming my new home. The other big project was securing structures in my cellar which was also done very efficiently. I was apprehensive about buying an historic home, but I have great confidence in Greg and his team as we proceed with all that needs to be done. Once again Albion came to the rescue -- this time for a small job that involved exterior rot from a malfunctioning gutter, requiring the Albion carpenter to remove a section of rotten corner board and abutting clapboards, piece in new, and paint. All was done efficiently, excellent work, and a thorough clean-up. In the past the Albion crew has painted interior walls beautifully, sanded and varnished flooring, and matched flooring to patch. All done with attention to detail and on schedule by a pleasant crew. They also have painted the exterior, replacing cracked and rotten clapboards instead of just caulking and hiding problems with a quick coat of paint like the previous painting crew (we won't have them back!) --instead we are glad to call Albion for a reliable job well done. read more

I had been spoiled for the past twenty five years dealing with a local company to handle all of my painting needs.Whereas, this company scaled back to provide interior painting only, I was put into the position of trying to find a replacement. A chore that I did not relish, but I began. Granted the Internet brings all the candidates to the forefront making it a simple process to contact them. I met with several contractors at my home and listened to their back grounds and their recommendations to move forward. The more I met, the more the process was becoming burdensome. Then, fortunately, I met with Greg Patterson, the owner of Albion Contracting and the decision that I needed to make was a very simple one. Albion Contracting was my choice! The only concern that I had was that Greg assured me that his company could provide any and all carpentry issues that needed to be addressed. I was a little skeptical there, as I had planned on bringing in seasoned carpenters who, solely, handled that aspect of the process. However, I felt very confident in Greg's thorough explanation as to how his company differs from so many others. Greg and his crew showed up early every morning and they did a tremendous job. Greg's attention to detail is amazing. Any carpentry issues that needed addressing were not just corrected, but Greg would strive to find what caused the problems origin. We were very happy with the service we received from Albion Contracting. Greg arrived soon after we called to look at the small job we had--replacing wood siding before we painted our house. Many contractors would not be willing to do such a small job. His carpenter came on a Saturday and did very nice, careful work in just a few hours. The only reason I did not give a 5 rating is that we waited quite a long time for the job to get done, but that has been the case for everyone at this time of COVID.
