a clean kitchen with white cabinets

Amazing work! My kitchen looks beautiful! Ryan and his team were easy to work with, protected everything very carefully and finished the job as quickly as possible, minimizing the amount of time I spent without a kitchen. They we're very focused on quality and I love the result! I would absolutely recommend Finishing Touch Painting.

In 2013 Someone's basement was filled with raw sewage and he used a sump pump and drained it all into the backyard. By far the worst company I ever worked for and I wouldn't recommend that anyone work for him not how him for his services.

I am the 2nd owner of a house built by this company in 2000. While the basic structure is extremely…read moresolid overall, numerous deficiencies in interior and exterior finish work and detail have become blindingly apparent. Several doors have racked over the years, causing them not to close correctly (the striker no longer meets the hole!). A few windows were installed incorrectly and are either slightly racked or hard to open/close. Vertical trim outside windows all over the house was face nailed with common nails, which now bleed rust onto the paint. These same boards are all rotted due to not having been sealed properly during installation. The site-built front railing was made from standard pine and left untreated. The design was horrible from a durability viewpoint as it caught and kept water, with the entire railing rotting to punk after only 10 years. While replacing it, I found rotted wood under the lower siding and trim. This was caused by incorrectly applied housewrap and flashing, and will be corrected in the spring. While cleaning gutters last month I found places where the top braces were never screwed into place, which has caused increasing ice dams and sagging gutters (not to mention bad drainage) over the years. Several neighbors whose houses were built at the same time have experienced numerous similar problems. One (the model home) ended up with an internally collapsed chimney to the tune of $9000 in repairs. The same house's front wall rotted to the point where someone went through the wall when they leaned against it. This was again due to incorrect sealing and lack of flashing. At least three houses on our road (all built by this company) have required remedial treatment for rot behind the clapboards. This is not good construction. In most recent news, an attempt to replace rotted face trim on several windows was impossible when it was discovered the 'trim' was not trim, but an integral part of the window structure and the windows were face-nailed in place. These people seem to do a decent job and the structure/utilities are very well done. But whoever they employ for finish carpentry and exterior trim work is (or was) highly unskilled. If you're building with them, have an expert builder of your own on call to monitor and contact the builder to correct their mistakes.
