I am not taking off work to pick up something that was supposed to be in my possession 3 weeks ago. He told me "can't your husband do it again?" Took a closer look and the frame was broken. I called Valley Optometry for some type of resolve and was just told "sorry...nothing we can do since you didn't buy the frame here!" Not a bring the glasses in, let us look at them and maybe we can fix them enough so you can wear them for a while or any speck of remorse or attempt to provide some type of customer service moving forward. This was a $336 lesson to never do business there again! Oh and I forgot to mention when I took the frame in, I was told "Oh the company we use is very fast. We're getting glasses back in about 4 days. It took 3 weeks to get those broken glasses. I also learned when I took the glasses to two different opticians that the reason the frame broke was because the lenses were cut too big and caused the frame to crack. Also learned that they used poor quality thick plastic. Please use my experience as a cautionary tale. The worse part was the poor customer service. I feel like I was robbed!! They're response was basically oh..thats too bad but sorry...cant help you! Not even the smallest effort to resolve brand new glasses placed in their care.

I was initially hesitant to enter because the signs on the door were in Korean so I was skeptical that they'd help me, but then I thought That's ridiculous, we're in the United States, why wouldn't they help me? And went in anyway. It turns out I should've trusted my gut. Big time. Literally the second I walked in I was rudely told by the receptionist "We're closed". It was 5:10pm on a Monday. Their posted hours said open til 6pm. So I said "I thought you close at 6?" A crotchety old doctor man interjected abruptly "We close at 5:30". Their rude aggressive demeanor was not ok with me, so I said "You say you close at 5:30, but it's only 5:10, so that would leave me 20 minutes to browse frames, right?" Crotchety senile doctor barks "No!". I said "Oh really? From 5:10 to 5:30 isn't 20 minutes? Is my math wrong?" They all just looked at me. Then the receptionist said "We need time to put the frames away." Um first of all that's only if I actually saw some frames I wanted to try, but more importantly that's part of operating a business. And as I'm looking for something specific and can tell by looking if a frame will suit me or not, it's unlikely I would've even touched many frames. And *on their website* their POSTED HOURS are until 6pm Mondays. I definitely won't be spending a penny here and would encourage anyone else to go elsewhere. I went to a different optometrist not far away in Encino - owned, run and staffed by Americans - and could not have been treated better.
