This was my first time visiting Vision Source, and I am incredibly impressed! I was able to book an appointment within just one week, which was fantastic. The entire process was seamless. They allowed me to fill out all my new patient forms and scan my ID and insurance card online beforehand. When I arrived, the receptionist was very kind--she politely let me know she'd be right with me while she finished up a phone call, and because I had completed everything online, checking in was a breeze. I barely waited at all before the technician took me back for my tests. Dr. Morris performed a very thorough exam and took the time to answer all of my questions completely. To top off a great visit, Pete was incredibly professional and friendly. He clearly explained exactly what my insurance covered and walked me through the different sections of glasses. I have been going to Dr. Morris office for 15 years and always purchased my glasses from them. They have limited frames to meet my needs. I can only wear light frames otherwise it presses on my nose bridge and gives me a headache. I've never had issues with my frames until my recent purchase. It took me awhile to find one since I like them a little lighter. This frame felt lighter at the time before the prescription lenses were put on. I paid around $300 for the frames and lenses, out of pocket. I called them after wearing it for 2 days and informed them it's too heavy for me. Found out you can't return them once they are cut. Although they tried to make adjustments, it was not helping. Now I'm stuck with it until next year. I'm very disappointed with their policy. I might take my business somewhere else. read more

Love an experienced doctor like Dr. Morris. Love the gentleman who assists with fitting you with your new glasses. I absolutely hate the quality of their glasses. I have had multiple pairs break on me now. I treat my glasses like gold and do not abuse them. The newest pair I got make me absolutely nauseous. I feel that the bifocal line that was drawn may have been done wrong. I won't go back and complain. I will continue to wear my cracked glasses until I get another pair next year as I just can't afford to keep buying them at this rate. read more

What a complete waste of time and money. Dr. Dexter Morris would not explain anything to me when I asked questions, he would only say I will print it out. I am not an optometrist to understand what he "prints out". I have had 3 eye exams in the past 2 moths and cannot find one Optometrist that gave me the same prescription. I booked an appointment for me and my partner and was told we could be seen at the same time, which I thought was great as we would most likely be done around the same time and pick glasses together. We got there 15 minutes before our appointment time, checked in, and sat down. We continued to sit there for almosr an hour without any further communication on why we were waiting so long past our appointment time. There wasn't anyone being called back to get their eyes check to explain the reason, and all we could hear from the doctor's area was a woman talking/laughing as if she was in a conversation the whole time, yet there we continued to sit. Finally, 40 minutes after the appointment time (55 minutes after arriving), we hear the receptionist say my name to a staff member (I couldn't make out what else she was saying) as if she was asking him why I hadn't been called, and the guy grabbed the clipboard next to him that had probably been sitting there the whole time, came up to me and asked for my current pair of glasses. No, "sorry for your wait", no explanation on why he was asking for my glasses, not even a "hi", "hello" or any kind of introduction. He took them in the back, then came out and said the doctor was ready for me. Assuming there was more than one doctor since we were told we could be seen at the same time, I told him that my partner was scheduled at the same time and hadn't had their current glasses checked, but he said my partner would be seen after me. The doctor was male so then I was curious as to why I could hear a woman laughing/joking/talking back there, thinking she was another dr, but my partner was not being seen too. The doctor was pleasant and thorough, so that was good, but then when I was done, my partner still sat there for another 15 minutes before he was finally called back. Mind you, we are now well over an hour past our appointment time and still hadn't even looked at the frames they had to offer so I just wanted to get out of there, so I told them I just wanted my prescription without looking at frames. It took another 15 minutes just to get my prescription. Thankfully after my partner was done with the doctor, we were able to get their prescription pretty quickly, but we will never be back. The only reason why I'm giving them 2 stars and not one star is because the doctor was very nice and thorough. read more

If you like going to a business and they constantly are nervous about covid telling you to wash your hands, pull up your mask the second it slips down, no seeing how you look in frames with your mask down, making you wait an hour to get your frames picked out, rushing you out the door once your seen, then this place is for you. I requested an appointment online for my wife and I as well as her parents and after waiting two weeks hearing nothing called. When I told the scheduler I needed an appointment for my wife and I as well as her parents I was told only two appointments were allowed, we would have to make the appointment for her parents on another day. My wife and I are already clients and this makes no sense. Due to the inability for the scheduler to schedule four adults at different times on the same day we are no longer clients. read more

I've only had great experiences at Dr. Morris's office. His staff has always been friendly and professional. They have a huge selection of frames to choose from and his staff is very helpful in choosing. They let me try on as made as I liked until I found the perfect pair. The exam was thorough and I could tell that Dr. Morris is extremely experienced. He really took the time to answer my concerns. I am happy to wait to be seen because it's worth it. I scheduled an appt for 10:00 showed up early like asked by the safe to complete paperwork, it's now an hour later and I still have yet to be called to the back. The waiting chairs are so dirty I don't even want to sit in them. Once they check you in they don't communicate at all with you. I've been coming to Vision Source on Craig for 6 years now. Love Dr. Morris. Before my visits, I'll go to their website and print the forms(4 of them) I need to fill out. It speeds up the whole appointment. My appointment was Aug 10th @3:15pm. Arrived 20 minutes early and since my paperwork was done I was able to see the doctor before 3:15pm. I was in and out in under an hour. Would've been faster but I was have trouble deciding between a few pairs of glass. My wife would always help me decide but she passed away since my last pair. One of the ladies help me with the decision when I was down to two pair and couldn't make up my mind. I was amazed when she pick the cheaper of the two. I knew then she wasn't just trying to BS me. read more

Just had a lousy experience trying to schedule an appt. Its probably going to be blamed on covid butIm super frustrated, almost in tears. I was trying to get an emergency eye exam because my glasses are broken. I'm elderly and cannot see and I could fall down and literally am grounded without the glasses. I was on hold for days, no one called back so I went up there. Spoke to woman who came to door explained. She told me to call. I said that I have many times. She told me covid. I said "yes, I know it's Covid but I have called...no one calls back......I cannot see and the lens keeps popping out. She said in Half hour more staff...call then. Ok. I called. Spelled my name 6 times. Gave my birthday 4 times as tgey kept putting me on hold. First appt March 4. Explaine...asked for exception. On hold more. Someone else came on...I thought since they asked for my birthday and name again. I said I think I'm talking to someone already..she said no..that was me....remember I spelled my name repeatedly...gave my bd repeatedly already. I mentioned that they should hire more staff. She interrupted me said we are doing you a favor, you have never been here. I asked why that mattered, would I get a sooner appt if I had been there? I tried to comment and she interrupted me and spoke over me over and over. She asked if I wanted the appointment. I said yes, I'll take it. Immediately asked again if I want the appointment which was strange.... I said "I just told you I want the appointment". She said I can speak to the manager if I don't appreciate that she is squeezing me in. I said that "I have told you twice that I want the appointment. Soundrd like she was exaggerating as if she was getting sympathy for others for how horrible I am...but I kept saying that I wanted it but she refused to accept my surrender. Finally I said "You would think that an exemption can be made for someone who has an emergency and is desperate. " She replied, Dr Morris is not desperate." I said, voice slightly raised " I didn't say that!" She continued to talk over me as if I said that. She explained that Dr Morris is aware of his schedule. " I said, So he knowingly keeping people waiting for 3 weeks instead of hiring more staff." I rarely take it to this level but She kept talking over me, not listening so I said "you have a real listening problem. ( I did spell my name a half dozen time and she still couldn't find the insurance because she got it wrong....then the fabulous..Dr Morris is not desperate" which I shall make a meme. So this simple request for consideration was handled as if they were victims and I was supposedly insufferable from her tone of voice and how she was loudly talking in clipped tone with an audience. She asked if I want the appointment. I said "No." You can't use Covid as an excuse for bad listening skills, rudeness and a certain stubbornness tgat anyone who complains is out of line due to covid. My guess is she was a bad listener before Covid too. read more

Went to Vision Source today 12/7/19 at 1:20pm. My appointment was at 1:30. Filled out paper work (3 pages). Got called back around 2:20pm. Quick exam with Dr. Morris and out at 2:35pm. Cons: They charge a $70 "fitting" fee to anyone who wants contact lenses or to get their contact prescription printed. It is not just for new patients but for established patients as well. So even if you are getting the same brand contact lenses that work for you, it doesn't matter. You have to get "fitted" which costs $70. After the fitting you can decide to order the contacts or have the contact prescription printed. Lastly they have very bad customer service skills. They don't walk you back to see Dr. Morris but instead the receptionist tells you he is ready and you walk yourself to the room. It was my first time there so I asked which way- to the back hall second door on the right. Really? $70 fitting I didn't need and bad customer service. Should have read the reviews before booking and found somewhere else to go. Never will come here again. read more

I'm not sure why there's any bad reviews. My experience with vision source is always great. I was welcomed in as I usually am for my scheduled appointments. Even for walking is only a 45-1hr wait. I have never waited more than 5 mins to get called in for appointments, all the staff is very professional and very helpful, dr Morris is awesome and very educational. The only bad thing I have to say is they always charge you for the contact fitting even though I've been a loyal customer for 4 years I don't see why it's necessary for that and my eyes have always felt comfortable with stage same lenses I get. read more

I have noticed the lack of patience or care from the women in the front during my family's visit last year, but thought to try again this year. I would NEVER go back to this office! The people working there are RUDE and evasive. They COMPLETELY messed up my prescription and when I went in to tell them that, the woman who spoke to me, Liz, was completely dimissive and told me I had to wear my glasses for a week and "get used to them." I told her I have had many prescriptions before and NEVER had to "GET USED" to a pair of glasses before. All previous ones were perfect from the get go. I can't give them less than 1 star, but my rating would be BELOW and F-. If you want wrong prescriptions and SHITTY service, this is the place to go. I've been going to this eye doctor for over 10 years but unfortunately will not be any longer. The doctor is amazing and the staff that I used to see as a kid was amazing as well but the staff now is so rude. I scheduled an appointment and was unfortunately late and couldn't make it in the time frame that they gave me so I asked if could reschedule, the lady very rudely said to me "nope" and I asked why not and she said because I have too many rescheduled appointments. I was confused due to this being my second time scheduling an appointment for myself and the previous year I was on time to my appointment. So then she proceeded to tell me that I had a reschedule in the year of 2015 and 2017. Which was crazy to me, I then explained that I was a minor at that time and wasn't making appointments for my self or rescheduling and the fact that there going back 6 years was also crazy to me. In the midst of the conversation she kept cutting me off. She wouldn't allow me to ask any questions or to get an understanding of why I couldn't reschedule. So I asked to speak to the manager and she was the one who explained to me why I couldn't reschedule, she was rude as well but she at least broke down the reasoning why for me and said she would see what the doctor could do. The First Lady threw my whole mood off because she just gave an argumentative vibe and was rude for no reason. I've been seeing Doctor Morris since 2007. I recently had a change in insurance where I'm not covered. I could get free eye exams at the VA or Nellis AFB but chose to pay out of pocket to see him. He completes a thorough exam and thoroughly answers in detail any questions you may have. Sometimes the wait is a little long but I'm okay with it, to me it's worth it when you get someone you like and trust, I figure he's giving the people the attention he gives me so I'll continue to wait. read more

I didn't really feel welcome from the lady at the front desk that was checking people in. So for her service, my rating goes down. The wait at this office was about 30 mins, not too bad as you could tell they were overbooked. The lady who took my examination before I saw the doctor was very quick got me in and out. Then again I waited another 15 mins to see the doctor. The doctor was great! If I were just rating the doctor I would give him 5 stars! He was very kind and helpful and got me the right prescription as my last doctor had messed up my last. Lastly, I went to the ladies who helped me pick out some new glasses and they were so very helpful and kind. They helped me find the right shape for my face in the style and brand I was looking for. If I could have chose ZERO STARS than I would. This small office needs to be shut down! The front desk lady (Liz) is extremely rude and very unprofessional! She had very bad communication skills and didn't seem to be genuinely concerned about patients. The doctor also seemed uninterested in patients he was short and blunt which made it awkward during the exam & to top it off he owns this practice so they sky rocket the cost of frames and contacts. ( For example I could get the same pair of raybans at Lenscrafters for a fraction of the price) If you don't like something they try and force you to choose something. It seems like they are just looking for profit of patients and don't really care about their patients needs & the equipment they use is definitely out-dated and ancient. I paid for retinal images and still had to get my eyes dilated which completely defeated the purpose. Upon leaving they didn't give me a copy of my prescription just a half sheet of recommendations by the doctor. I wouldn't reccomend coming here again. I recently switched health providers and found Vision Source to be the closest place to my house. I have not had glasses for a while and needed them badly. I called and was given an appointment the same day which was awesome. The size of the waiting area was very tight and cramped and they were very busy the day i went in. But the staff was friendly and informative and answered all my questions. Dr. Morris was awesome and got me setup with clear vision again! It only took 6 days to receive my glasses and they look and feel great. I would recommend this place to anyone. read more

This business does not even deserve 1 star. The worst place ever! Don't waste your time going there for your vision needs. I went to Vision Source to fill a prescription for eye glasses. The clerk told me it was for bifocal lenses and I replied "that's fine but I want the lenses to be lineless." She called them progressive lens rather than lineless but it was the same thing. She understood and after picking out frames, I paid and left the store. When I returned on April 4, 2019 to pick up the glasses the lenses were blurry and I could not see or make out anything at all. I was told to take them home and try them out for a few days to get used to them. It was pointless to do this because my eyes were not the problem; it was the lenses. The gal that waited on me became argumentative, extremely defensive and wouldn't let me talk at all. I finally was able to get to talk and I informed her the prescription was not made correctly and to that she said, "you said you didn't want bifocals". Again, I told her what I told the clerk about lineless bifocals. Why would I dispute a prescription order and say "I don't want bifocals"? It makes no sense whatsoever. Why would anyone pay for glasses, going against the Optometrist's prescription that weren't made for my eyes and wouldn't improve my vision? She continued to argue and finally I simply said in a room full of people, "you can take these glasses for they are of no use to me. I walked out, frustrated and upset with a room full of patients. read more
