Our family has seen Dr. D for at least a decade. We have always been happy with the service we receive. However, we have had issues with customer service lately. Earlier this year, my wife ordered new glasses from here. When they arrived broken, she was told that she must pay to send them back so they could order new ones. Ok, they ARRIVED broken but she needs to pay to send them back to get the unbroken replacement. Makes sense. I ordered glasses a few months after. I ordered them with the sunglass option so when I walk outside, they change. Mine do not. Not even a little bit. I asked for help with the desk. Dr D took my glasses outside and said they were "good enough". I cannot see outside now. My eyes water the entire time. But they are "good enough". After a decade of my family seeing Dr. D, we will no longer. Good enough is simply not good enough. read more

If Dr. Rhett Dadej is as negligent with his prescriptions as he was with mine, I don't want to know how negligent he must be with his eye exams. Don't be fooled by Dr. Rhett Dadejs' soft spoken manner, it will go out the window as soon as you point out a mistake on his part. The office staff was fine. But the customer service on the doctor's part was lacking. You could find better service at walmart. **This horrific experience happened to me because of Dr D's neglect and lack of care. **PLEASE be aware his eye exams are neglectful. I should have been referred to an ophthalmologist due to pre-existing conditions. Instead, I was told I had a clogged eye duct for two years when in reality it was a squamous cell carcinoma, and I had to have extensive surgery. My dermatologist found it and referred me to an ophthalmologist finally. I wrote and asked him to assist me with helping me pay for the bills of extensive eye surgery and reparation. He ignored my letter and so I am sharing this with all of you to please be aware. Dear Dr. Didaj, My name is Laura Cote, and I have been your patient from June 3, 2017 to Sept 25, 2021. I am writing this letter after a diagnosis of skin cancer on March 16, 2022 by Dr. Brent Brimhall, Opthamalogist. This cancer was undiagnosed and undetected for years while I was in your care. During my exam with you on Sept 24, 2020, I informed you about the discomfort I felt on my left bottom eyelid. I shared that it would "itch, flake and water a lot." You replied that this was a common problem as you looked at my eye, and then diagnosed me with a clogged eye duct. The treatment you prescribed was for me to wash my eye with mild soap and to use a warm water compress (this is noted in my chart document notes under " Impressions," 9/24/20). I continued to follow your instructions without any lasting relief. The following year, on September 25, 2021 during my annual eye exam, you told me the same instructions when I brought up my left lower eye discomfort. You said that I needed to be more diligent with warm water compresses and washings. You also mentioned, "If it was a serious problem, my medical equipment would have picked up on it." Additionally, you said, "...if it was a serious matter, I would refer you across the street to an ophthalmologist, but that isn't necessary." I continued following your directions for my eye problem with little relief. My chart notes also document the immuno-suppressant medications that I was regularly taking from the start of care as your patient. This information places me in a high-risk category, which was overlooked. No referral or deeper concern was placed on my care for this reoccurring problem, otherwise I would have been referred to an ophthalmologist. A few months passed, and I was at my dermatology appointment (12/16/2021). I asked the dermatologist to check my eye because I was still suffering from the same discomfort. She told me that it looked suspicious, and referred me to an ophthalmologist. A family friend shared with me the name of their eye doctor, and I made an appointment with him. Dr. Brent Brimhall informed me that my left lower eyelid had an irritation area that looked questionable and suspicious. He had a biopsy performed, and the diagnosis came back as a Squamous Cell Carcinoma. He told me that I should have been referred a lot earlier, especially because I was a high-risk patient (recipient of lung transplants, currently taking immuno-suppressant medications) and that this possibly could have been a minor situation if caught earlier. Instead, he said that surgery and reconstruction was needed. I underwent Mohs surgery and reconstructive surgery (June 19th and 20th, 2022, Dr. Brent Brimhall and Dr. Steven Leibowitz) on my lower left eyelid. I have attached pictures for your reference. This has been a very difficult situation for me to find out that I didn't just have a clogged eye duct, as you diagnosed. In actuality, I had cancerous cells growing in my eyelid during those years, completely undiagnosed. Due to the lack of professional judgment and care, I am requesting that you please cover my medical bills associated with the two-day surgery and follow up for the removal of the Squamous Cell Carcinoma and reconstruction surgery that was performed on my left bottom eyelid. The total cost of care concerning my lower left eyelid surgery and reconstruction is approximately @&$, and I can provide you with the associated medical bills for your review. This experience has been extremely unsettling to me, especially because I entrust my doctors with their expertise in assisting and caring for my needs. If I had been referred earlier, the surgery and reconstruction may easily have been much less invasive and expensive. Possibly, surgery might not have been necessary at all. I now have grafted skin to build a left bottom eyelid and I am also scarred, without bottom eyelashes. The stress of going through extensive eye surgery/reconstruction has been overwhelming. I've been coming here at least 5 years, despite there being 4 other eye drs within walking distance of my house. Got behind on my eye exams as I entered motherhood and got busy. My kid broke my glasses so I called to find out my prescription so that I could get a replacement pair. They told me that due to Nevada HIPPA Law, they can't tell me my eyeglass prescription because it's expired. Now maybe that's their policy (which still sucks) but I thought HIPPA was a privacy law. What HIPPA law would be violated by telling a patient, that patients information?..... so if I request my own health records from my last visit would that violate HIPPA too? I just hung up, didn't have the energy to argue that day. Needless to say I found a new Dr for my exam and new glasses. read more

Not happy with the service ,the manager is very inconsiderate. I paid almost $200 for my Prada glasses but when I received the glasses seems like the case comes with it is old ,lots of scratches and lints coming off inside the casing, so annoying coz I have to kept cleaning my glasses every time I used my glasses due to the lint and even the cleaning cloth does not come with it. They said they don't have any Prada casing available and could not call the company for replacement but they can only offer me generic casing. Definitely will not go back to this place. read more

Terrible business. The Dr is a crook. I have been a loyal customer and they are completely robbing me. My daughter wanted contacts, the appointment went as scheduled and she was given a pair to try at home. I was told that if it doesn't work out that we could switch to frames. She tried for a few days and couldn't put them in, she even cried at the frustration. She went back in pick her frames and unbeknownst to me didn't charge the insurance and instead had her pay out of pocket $340 with my card. She's in high school fyi so was unaware that she should question this. I called immediately after she came home no more than 30 minutes after she left. I asked why I had not received a refund for the contacts that I still don't have and was concerned that she was charged so much. They said that I would get a response immediately. They never called me for the rest of the day and the next. I went in the next day and they informed me that I wouldn't receive a refund for anything! My daughter can't use the contacts, they are still in the dr.'s possession and he refused to refund the frames she purchased. He stated that the glasses were already made. How?! After 2 days?! Also I called immediately after the appointment to state the issue, so why should I have to bite the bullet on $450 when they never reached out to me?! Completely unfair and terrible business practice. If you want a reliable eye doctor that's not a a charlatan and a thief, please do yourself a favor and go anywhere else. I showed up early , paid my fees, they quoted me, I was content. I received a call that they had given me a wrong quote and that I need to come back and pay 10% more that the original price. Called office and they were able to get my son in for eye exam the next day. Showed up early and took care of initial paperwork. My son was in and out in a half hour. They were very thorough in explaining what was covered by insurance and what not. They didn't try to up sell the more expensive frames which has been my experience in every other office in this town. Prices were reasonable for the upgrades we did choose and the glasses were ready in one week. The receptionist Kristy is VERY RUDE and doesn't have patience or empathy for customers. In no way should a person in the medical field not have any sort of costumer service skills. In the middle of my very simple question I was put on hold without notice or warning. A simple "Please hold" would've been sufficient. Then when I called back she didn't answer the phone at all. So I went in the office. When I asked for a manager or a way to file a complaint, no one knew if the manager was there nor a way to complain but handed me a card. read more

Friendly staff. I had my apointment on Friday Jan 20, 2017. The doctor finished my eye exam in a timely manor and didn't add on the dilation when it wasn't needed which is nice. They let me look at frames while I waited for the doctor which saved time at the end after the exam. The staff members were very helpful when it came to picking my frames and answered all my questions about the different coatings and options for the lenses. It took less than an hour from my apointment time to get everything done although I showed up about 10 minutes early. It would have been faster but I had trouble deciding which frames I wanted. This place sucks. They charged my wife and I for services that our insurance covered that they said wasn't covered. We called our insurance and were told that not only did they charge us, they also charged our insurance. We called and complained so we got our money back. When we went back in to receive our refund, they were very cold and rude. I can imagine that they double bill their other patients but have not been caught too many times. If you had the misfortune of doing business with these people then I recommend that you carefully look over your charges to make sure you weren't ripped off. read more

I would have given them 5 stars, except I don't like the fact that they're not open on Mondays, which is a terrible inconvenience for me to pick up or repair glasses. Also, I got frameless glasses from this office, which were very expensive (I highly recommend them...they're awesome), but when I broke them, they did not have a way to repair them; neither could they even recommend a company that would repair them. Never received a call when my glasses were ready, I had to call and check everyday yet everytime I came into the office they were not busy at all... I guess they have better things to do than to give little ol' me a simple call. They up-sell you to get thinner lenses even if you are poor and have medicaid. Exam prices are high aswell. Young African American girl was nice with the fitting and check-out, other than that this is a below average Optometrist who does not give alot of attention to the patient in my experience. read more

Great experience! I called on a Wednesday and was able to get in on the next Saturday.The lady at the front desk was very friendly. After filling out the paperwork we were called back shortly after that with no wait which I really appreciate. Dr. Dadej was amazing with my son and doing his eye exam, and he explained everything in detail. The assistant said the glasses would be ready in 7-10 days and his glasses ended up arriving 6 days after his appointment. Be careful in dealing with them. When they give you a quote, make sure to ask if they will honor it after a few days. They did it to us. They already gave us a written quotation but still didn't honor it. We ended up getting somewhere else for a lower price than their original quote. read more

If I could give ZERO stars I would. They don't honor anything they tell you. My son got his glasses (plastic frame) less then a year ago. He cracked the frame so I called because normally any other eye company gives a year warranty. I was told they do 1 replacement frame. She then looks him up and gets back on the phone and says we no longer carry that frame so we can't help you. You can $160 and pick out a new frame or next mth u can use your insurance. I had to tell the lady how our insurance works! Frames only once every 2 years. She tried telling me I was wrong until she put me back on hold to look it up. We have one of the most common eye providers out here VSP! I will never return here ever again with no one person in my house that needs glasses (there are 5 of us) nor will I ever recommend this place to anyone!!!!! read more
