Dr. Goh is a great eye doctor. She's very warm and friendly and loves to chat with her clients. She's also very knowledgeable about optometry and educated me about astigmatism and other things that were relevant to me. Setting the appointment was very easy. I just called to schedule and they got me in the next week. I didn't have insurance so they let me know how much the eye exam was going to be ahead of time. Ok well let me start by saying I MADE AN APPOINTMENT JUST TO BUY GLASSES , I had already had exam elsewhere but didn't like their frame so I decided to try this place due to all the good reviews. Well my husband called to check if I needed an appointment and conf that I could just take my prescription over . The lady who answered was rude but my husband didn't say anything because he didn't think it was a big deal. He said she told him "you can't just come in you need an appointment." Excuse me lady what do you think he was doing SMH . Anyways I set up an appointment for 8/10/22 at 5pm JUST TO BUY GLASSES (they closed at 6pm ) . I got there 10 mins late due to getting lost , when I got there the lady was like " your 10 mins late " I told her I'm sorry I got lost but I only need to buy glasses (plus they close at 6pm) she said " uh ok I closed batch but ok" . She asked me for my prescription and what insurance I had , I told her I wasn't 100 percent sure of the name but I was willing to provide my SSN and husband SSN since we are double covered . Also when I went to the other place for my exam they had no issue getting my info ( I worked at a dr office in the past and I know I was able to check a patients insurances with only SSN ). Regardless she said you need to call your ins because I need to know , around then the Dr Goh came out (she was lovely and I only met her for 5 minutes and she was more helpful that that girl in the front ) . As soon as the doctor came out this girls attitude improved a little , the doctor told her to try and look and she did. She eventually stated she couldn't find my ins so she was unsure if they took it . I asked if I could just pay , she said fine you can take a look at these . I looked but I was already irritated with this lady and I'm the type of person if your not gonna treat people nice I WILL 100 percent take my self else where . ALSO A TiP for that girl : Don't be in a front desk receptionist if you can't be somewhat nice ( in phone and in person ) the fact this happened on 2 different days just tells me that her attitude NOT JUST HER HAVING A BAD DAY . Because the doctor was pleasant I give it 2 star, it probably would have been 0 if I wouldn't have met the dr . Just saying. read more

After my old optometrist retired, my husband recommended I go to Dr. Goh's Golden Eyecare. I was not disappointed! A friendly staff member greeted me at the door, checked me in for my appointment, and made me feel very welcome. During my exam, Dr. Goh was immensely attentive, friendly, cheerful, and carefully explained every step of each procedure she was doing. She answered all of my questions with detailed answers, even drawing pictures to help me understand. I did not feel rushed nor embarrassed for asking lots of questions. I learned so much from Dr. Goh! The frames I chose for my glasses cost far less than I expected, and my glasses were ready ahead of the due date. The fit was perfect, and I could not be happier with the entire experience. I felt in great hands with Dr. Goh, and knew I'd found a fantastic optometrist. Dr. Goh is AH-MAZ-ING!! She is patient, kind, and very knowledgeable. She answered all my questions with visual aids to help me better understand the health of my eyes and optometry in general. She gave my eyes time to adjust and I never felt rushed. Her staff was the exact opposite. Extremely rude, short, and impatient. The receptionist literally rolled her eyes when I asked for a breakdown of the costs and the reasons why. She did not want to quote me on the separate upgrades to my glasses she wanted me to just say yes to everything and wait for the final cost. Once we struggled through that part, she ran through my cost as fast as she could and then said, "Does that sound fine." And I just shrugged. I NEVER realized she was ALSO not going to give me a itemized receipt. She said she need to make sure payment went through before she could provide an itemized receipt, even though I used a DEBIT card. I had to ask multiple times for a printout of my Rx as the receptionist took payment and offered me NO documentation of my visit in return. Dr Goh deserves 5 stars!!! Her staff: 1 star read more

Dr. Goh could not be nicer. Having said that the office management is so bad that I certainly will never be back. Dr. Goh had my most updated prescription so I went to Golden Eyecare to get 2 pair of glasses made. Horrible customer service experience - the assistant assumed the patient knew things about the business that we would never know and then gave snippy replies when she had to explain things. It took 6 weeks before I got a call saying that one of the pair were ready for pick up. I was told that the 2nd pair of glasses weren't available and they'd call when they were ready. Another 6 weeks later I had still not rec'd a phone call so I contacted them. Originally I was told that they still weren't in but then a little research showed that they had been available at the same time as the first pair. Since nobody rechecked their stock, I was never called. I think they also may have made a mistake on the pricing. I supplied the frames myself - all they had to do was have the proper lenses made and inserted into my frames. Somehow that totaled a little under $200. read more
