From the initial contact to our wedding and beyond, Visionari was an absolute pleasure to work with. Photography and videography were one of the most important parts of our day, and we were able to relax and enjoy the moment feeling confident that their team would do an amazing job! From the very beginning, Leanne was so kind and responsive, patiently answering all of our questions in a friendly and timely manner. We loved Jason Deng's work, and she was able to secure him for our date as well as set up a quick initial video call with him. On the day of, Jason and his second photographer Kristin were prompt, professional, and so easy to work with. Jason does a great job of giving everyone clear directions in front of the camera, and makes the process enjoyable and easy. He even asked if I had a preferred side of my face (I do) and positioned the shots to accommodate that. This attention to detail was something that we really appreciated. The photos themselves turned out incredible and we're beyond happy with the result. It's exactly what we were envisioning - natural and warm, yet intentional, shots that capture the story of our day. Although the turnaround time is quoted as 6 weeks in the contract, they finished ours in nearly 3, which is insanely fast. We even had a request for the editing style which Leanne relayed to the team and it was well reflected in the photos we received. Even though our Kahala package only included 48 4x6 prints, Visionari sent us more than double that - they printed around 100 "highlight" photos. For the video side of things, Sam was equally as professional, friendly, and seamless as the photographers. We opted for the ceremony only package, and the 20 minute-long video is the perfect record of our ceremony. The shots and audio are crisp and clear, and the editing is clean. The final video was high-quality and well put-together without being overdone. We prefer a simpler, straightforward feel for video, so this perfectly aligned with what we were looking for. If I was able to give Visionari 10 stars, I without hesitation would! Visionari was both my photographer and videographer for my 20 year vow renewal in June 2025. I'm from the Chicagoland area, so it's sometimes a crap shoot working with someone you've never met, but they're the real deal. I first got the pictures from the event and they were beautiful. I appreciate the highlight-reel photos that captured the best of the best of the event, which was well organized. But what by far blew me away was the video. I seriously watched the 4-minute highlight reel they put together 25 times over a course of a week. My friend coined it right - it was my very own "Love Commercial". I even watched the other marketing videos they had displayed on their website to compare. I honestly feel like mine was even better than those... and I'm amazed at how they - in my opinion - outdid themselves! If you're in Oahu, these are the folks to use! I am so incredibly grateful to the Visionari team who not only did an incredible part on photography/videography at our recent Aulani wedding, but also how they went above and beyond throughout the entire day. Jason, Enzo, Derek, and the sweetest lady, whom I didn't catch her name, helped us the day of the wedding. Jason was so sweet, creating positive energy with everything we gave him. He constantly apologized when I was sweating in the heat and would reassure me things were going to be finished soon. Honestly, apologies were not needed because I felt they worked tremendously hard that day so it was my apologies to them for being so patient with us (especially when we forgot to send you our photography list and you helped organize all the different groups to photograph after the ceremony - everything done on the fly with nobody forgotten. You guys are seriously pros!) Enzo was hilarious the entire time. He helped release a lot of my nerves that day. Whenever it got hot, he handed me an electric fan, which was godsend! His smile and positive energy really made me feel like we were well taken care of, which we really were. Derek worked so hard the entire day. My husband said he loved his sense of humor, how down to earth he was, and how comfortable he is to talk to. The lady who did videography - I'm so sorry I didn't catch your name but you were someone I loved being around. My dress was not easy to fit a microphone on and you somehow found a way to do so! I ended up having it on the entire night and getting my sweat on it. When you asked for it at the end of the night, I was ashamed of how sweaty I was and tried to wipe it all off, but you were so kind to smile and say it's okay. Thank you for also helping us get the water boiling for our tea ceremony. That was completely not within your job description but you were just that kind. Lastly, thank you for helping us figure out how to put on the fashion tape. It was evident we had zero experience with it but you were able to swiftly apply it on. Again, that wasn't within your job description but you were just that kind. We received our sneak peek pictures within a week and they turned out so incredible! I loved them all so much! I'm so grateful to Visionari for making our day so wonderful with how inconspicuous they were during our wedding while taking the most breathtaking pictures. In addition, they all went above their call of duty to ensure everything went smoothly. Even when we ran behind schedule by 30 minutes, they were so flexible to accommodate and switch things around. What a truly incredible group we were paired with. My husband and I still discuss what a friendly group you all are. VISIONARI ARE TRULY SUPERB! When we first got engaged the first topic for discussion was where to get married! Hawaii has always been a very special place for us having travelled there together twice. Having an Overseas wedding has many benefits, but it also does bring many challenges such as finding companies and suppliers that you have had no previous experience with. Adding to this is the fact you don't get the opportunity to meet with the vendors prior to finalising a booking /service. Fortunately we were extremely fortunate to find Visionari photography through the recommendation of the Sheraton hotel where we had our wonderful wedding in late August this year. From the very first contact we had with the company, notably Leanne they were wonderful to deal with and made us feel very comfortable in selecting Visionari . Other companies that I had contacted were much more focused on securing our business straight up as opposed to making us feel comfortable and answering all our questions. Coming from a sales background myself I have no issue with people / companies asking for the business but the key is to earn it first which Visionari certainly did! Prior to the big day Leanne and the team accommodated our request to meet with them once we arrived in Waikiki to run through everything. We were even lucky enough to meet our photographer Jason Deng. From the moment we meet him Jason made us feel very comfortable and happy with our choice. Weddings are without doubt stressful no matter how organised and well planned you are. The Visionari team ensured there was clear communication in the lead up to the wedding which was fantastic! On the day Jason was amazing ensuring everything ran smoothly and also assisting with our 2 year old who at times needed coaxing/redirecting into the photos. His patience and professionalism was second to none! I can't emphasis enough the importance of finding the right photographer and cannot recommend Visionari and Jason highly enough. We could not be happier we chose Visionari for our wedding photography and videography. The photo/video package price was very reasonable, and we also received a discount since they are a preferred vendor with Aulani. To start off, corresponding with Leanne was amazing. She always responded within 1-2 business days and was super sweet. I knew we were in good hands just from my interactions with her. Day of the wedding, I was pleasantly surprised when a team of 4 showed up! We only expected two photographers and one videographer, but an additional coordinator was present to help streamline everything. Unfortunately, I don't remember the coordinator's name, but our two photographers were Ryan and Ryan and our videographer was Urara. Besides being an amazing media team, everyone was so professional and nice. Unfortunately, our wedding coordinator was pretty much MIA the whole time before the ceremony, but the Visionari team stepped in and made sure we stayed on schedule. They kept things on time, but it never felt like they were rushing us. I did not expect them to take on that extra responsibility, so I was super appreciative. I loved how the process was seamless and it never felt like I was being forced to pose or do something for the camera. Both Ryans and Urara made it very natural and mainly focused on shooting in the moment. I also can't emphasize how sweet everyone was. We were shooting on pretty sharp beach rocks at one point and I took off my heels for stability, so the team offered me their camera bag to stand on so my feet wouldn't hurt! I thought that was so thoughtful and sweet of them. One request I had was if we could record our harpist playing our processional song for our video. I wasn't sure if it was possible, but Leanne said she would ask Urara and see if it would be possible. Luckily, Urara said yes and was able to incorporate the recording in our video! It's that sort of service that made Visionari stand out as one of my favorite vendors we hired for our wedding. We got the final products 1 month after our wedding, which was a lot quicker than I expected (they quote 6 weeks in the contract). I was blown away by the quality of the photos and videos. To be honest, Visionari has a slightly moodier aesthetic than we wanted, so I had asked if our photos would be edited to be more film-like and bright. Leanne conveyed our request to the editing team, and they executed perfectly! I was also worried the video be awkward to watch since my husband and I are quite awkward, but it was edited to be so romantic and touching. We could not have been happier. When we were first given the list of "recommended photographers" from our wedding site, Visionari was the first website we stumbled across. We were INSTANTLY in love with their photography! Our communication was a bit fumbled from the start and being a destination wedding for me, I was a bit skeptical about their professionalism. But Ryan did everything he could to ensure that I would get nothing but professionalism and quality pictures, and I'm sure glad I chose them! Their photography is seamless and unobtrusive. We could have gone through our whole ceremony without knowing they (Ryan and Lisa) were around. But after we received our CD of our wedding pics, they were covering it from every angle! Our shots came out beautifully! Our favorites were the pictures after the ceremony when we took sunset shots on the beach and on some rocks. They were able to capture the lighting beautifully and choose great poses that really enhanced the natural beauty of our surroundings, which was sooo important to us being it was a destination beach wedding. Kristin honestly helped me so much with trying not to freak out since I was so nervous for the big day she talked me through the day helped me to feel beautiful in every way. We asked Ryan and his crew to take engagement pictures in addition to pictures of our ceremony and reception. Not only were the pictures amazing, their experience was integral to the success of our wedding. They found some amazing backdrops for our engagement shots (and that's saying a lot for the already scenic Hawai). At the wedding the crew was there for us in so many ways. One example was Ryan bringing me a cooling towel so I didn't sweat through my shirt in the Hawaii heat. Also when it was time to cut the cake my wife and I had no idea what to do with our hands. We are so glad we decided to go with Visionari as our photographer/videographer team!!! We got married a month ago, and from the very beginning Leanne was super communicative and helpful with finding the right package for our wedding. They were so flexible with adjusting our time frame to fit our budget, and really helped us plan everything out to make sure we had a timeline that would let us capture everything we wanted. On the day of the wedding, Mitch and Natsumi were AMAZING photographers. They were so friendly, easygoing, and professional. They helped everyone feel so at ease and have fun taking pictures, and setting us up in the best lighting and positions without making anything feel stiff or unnatural. Urara was also very polite and professional, filming us constantly without ever intruding or taking the focus away from what was going on. I am a flake. Let me be clear, I am not always a flake, but I do flake about 65% of the time. I hate answering emails, phone calls, and texts. But, who can blame me when I take care of my very precocious and rambunctious almost 2 year old? Over the years I have worked with MANY photographers, and Visionari rates at the very top of my list. They handled my flakiness perfectly, did not make me feel like I was a pain the the neck when I was nearly 2 weeks late with my deposit or when we changed our wedding date...TWICE. Each time they spoke to me with professionalism, made me feel at ease, and took the time to help me plan a timeline! I know most photographers don't have, or make you feel like they don't have time to do that, or that it isn't their job. Ryan called me on several occasions to remind me about what needed to be done prior to the wedding, some helpful tips (i mean I've never gotten married before so how was i supposed to know that you should get the biggest hotel room possible to fit 5 bridesmaids, 2 videographers, 2 hair and makeup people, and three photographers?), asked me where we would like to shoot our pre-ceremony photos, etc. Such a huge help! You will pay a PRETTY PENNY for them to capture your special day, but, it is worth every, single, cent. Even though I spent an arm, a leg, and a few fingers, I have the peace of mind knowing that I am working with professional and creative people. I will preface this review by saying that Visionari did not capture the photos at my wedding, however, this review is based on the work I've already seen and their unbelievable service and helpfulness that I have experienced first-hand. It is very clear that not only are they talented, they are willing to listen and provide the service that the client desires, not just what they want or are comfortable with. Specifically, I spoke to Ryan on several occasions and he took the time to ilsten to what I wanted and tried to accommodate me. Visionari was my dream photographer for my wedding, but because I was offered a "better" deal with another prestigious photographer, I went with him. That was my mistake and probably my biggest regret for my wedding, because the breadth and quality of the photos was just not there, at least in my opinion. Many of my friends have had their weddings shot by Visionari and I loved the style, the vision, the quality of the photos -- and they loved them too. Visionari captures everything -- the candids, the formals, the emotion of the day. I know now that they are worth every penny. Before my wedding, I did my research. I had a list of over 25 photographers, their prices, yelp reviews, and the like. I studied dozens of portfolios of the "top" photographers in the state. While Visionari's price was near the top of the list, in this case, you really do get what you pay for. If you are impressed with their work and are only hesitant to book them because of the price, like I was, my best advice would be to reconsider. Their engagement and wedding photos are superb and in my opinion, unmatched by any other photographer in the state. You don't want to be like me and have hundreds of uncaptured moments after your wedding day by picking a photographer who is cheaper. You can never get those images ever captured again. read more

As a bride, it was my first priority to find the perfect team of photographers to capture a very special day for me and my hubby. Our wedding was 1 year ago, August 16, 2013. I had written a review last year, but from the looks of it, I forgot to publish it, oops. So here we go: Everyday we get SO MANY compliments on our wedding photos. Lisa has a talented eye and knows how to direct to get the perfect lighting and composition. Shoot, Lisa went knee deep into the ocean - WITH HER EXPENSIVE EQUIPMENT - to capture me and my crazy bridesmaids, who were frolicking in our dresses, in the Hawaiian waters. During our reception many of our guest and myself barely noticed Visionari's presences snapping away --- they are like ninjas -- dressed in black and incognito, while capturing all the memories. My WHOLE family, plus wedding guest, LOVE LOVE LOVE Lisa and her crew. My dad wanted to have Lisa marry into our family, lol. They not only worked with us to build a special package that fit our budget but also provided beautiful photographs that captured our special day -- without being obtrusive. Jon and his team made our wedding day absolutely perfect!!! They were very friendly and knew exactly what they were doing - and the photos we received were absolutely gorgelous !! We purchased a package that comes with slideshow (we got within a week after the wedding), around 400 hard prints + a disk (came together in mail in a few weeks), and a coffeebook that we are still waiting for (will take about 3 months). Jon and one of his assistants speak Japanese, which greatly helped my side of the family from Japan communicate with them. They charge you more than the most competitors but it is totally worth the cost. At our wedding they even stayed longer than the contracted hours. read more

We talked to them over the phone and couldn't believe how easy they were to deal with. They customised our package to what we wanted and they were very patient with everything we asked them about. I still have a massive smile on my face thanks to Visionari. Ryan and Morgan captured our pre-wedding dinner and wedding day photos and we couldn't have been happier with the choice. Firstly, I am from Australia, so picking vendors was hard, but our wedding planner did recommend Visionari and after seeing the website and talking to Ryan on Skype, I felt completely at ease and it is clear these guys are professionals. My husband was never thrilled about being the centre of attention on our wedding day and getting so many photos taken of us but Ryan and Morgan were so relaxed and fun through the whole day that he soon forgot my husband was being photographed. Ryan knew in advance that we were having a post-wedding party back home and ensured the prints were ready by that day despite being so busy. They even gave us so many more prints than what was in our package so that was a big saving for us. Ryan provided some very good input to our timeline for our pre-wedding dinner so we could capture the best sunset photos on Waikiki beach - thank you! I looooved the photo slideshow they did for us on Vimeo. It was so special, and captured all of the highlights of the day. Visionari have an in-house album designer and we are currently getting our album designed ready for printing with Queensberry. That is another benefit of choosing Visionari.
