I wanted to update my review after visiting this LensCrafters location again and I'm happy to say my second experience was much better. This time, it wasn't as busy, which probably contributed to the improved service. I ended up finding another pair of glasses. The associate helping me was very knowledgeable and explained things clearly, especially when it came to measurements for the lenses, which is a bit different from ordering online. I wasn't familiar with that step, but they took the time to explain it and made sure I understood. Ordering my glasses in store didn't take any longer than expected and everything went smoothly. So, I would definitely recommend this location--just maybe avoid going during busy weekends if you want more personalized attention. read more

Denise was less than pleasant. I asked a question and didn't feel like it was explained clearly, so I tried rephrasing it--and she responded with, "Like I already told you," in a snarky tone. When I asked about other locations she said you'd have to pick up your phone and do research and call which was very rude as well. Most of the staff seemed like they didn't want to be there, except for the eye doctor, who was kind and professional. Young lady in dreds had an unpleasant attitude stating you can go in the back and wait for (Sheriksha) but she's with a client...I sat there for about q5 minutes. This location is in the St Thomas shopping center off of Reisterstown Rd. The office staff was super helpful and knowledgeable. I felt cared for and they took their time to answer questions I had about different types of lenses and frames for glasses. They have a good selection to choose from. I had some issues trying to order online (which is the reason for 4 stars) and so I visited instead and was glad I did. I was assisted by Jodi and Qaqua. I had a great experience and the store was clean. Lots of other stores in the center which is convenient for running errands or grabbing a quick bite. read more

I went to this location for a eye exam as I have since wearing eyewear, I called and asked if they allowed walk ins as I was on my way to the location. The representative said that she can take my information and put me in for a 12:10 appointment. I informed her that I was on my way and that it was 11:54 she said I was fine. Upon arrival she said that I missed my appointment it was 12:13 and I wails have to be worked in. This did not go well with me. When asked for the manager I was greeted with a raised hand of the young lady that was sitting next to her. She said she could work me in. This was my only day off and I did not have my car so I took the appointment. No apologies, never asked for my insurance when I told them I had insurance I was told they don't accept Medicaid. I found this to be very offensive to assume I had Medicaid. When giving her the insurance card she said I would have to pay out of pocket and wait for a reimbursement. I paid for the exam. Spoke with the doctor and he acted as if he could care less of my experience. The front end of the store customer service is sub par. No attention to me as the customer. Answered phone calls in front of me. assisted other customer while I was being fitted. Never offered and promotions of which I had to make mention of. IF you are wise you would stay away from this location all together. My glasses 2 pair over $1200 will arrive in a few days and once that happens I will never go to this location again as they do not know how to treat customers on either the doctors office side or the retail store. Had one insurance, called and made sure that they took it, they called and said they didn't the night before the exam. I switched my insurance, they said they took it, and if I wouldn't have called 20 minutes before my appointment I would have showed up in vain. They still didn't take it. Friendly staff, very clean, and excellent selection of frames for men, women and kids. I was in pretty dire need of some new specs and I was able to get an appointment with Dr. Schwartz(?) within just a couple of days. I arrived barely on time, thanks to an accident. I filled out my paperwork, got the preliminary blast of air to the eyes, and then was promptly seen by the doctor for my exam. He was thorough, knowledgeable and made the dreaded eye exam a breeze. I will definitely be seeing Dr. Schwartz again. I was sent out of the exam with a copy of prescription to use right there at LensCrafters, or any other place of my choosing. I searched through the selection of frames and within about 15 minutes I fell in love with my new frames. That's a record for me! I usually take forever to choose my glasses. One of the super-friendly staff members helped me choose my lenses and options. (I can't remember her name :( ) For the first time ever my prescription was actually in stock for both lenses, and my new glasses were ready in about 30 minutes. They even send you a text message alert when they're ready for pick up! I was a very happy camper when I left this LensCrafters location, and I will definitely be going back. read more

Absolutely perfect! I made an appointment for an eye exam and prescription for a long overdue new pair of eyeglasses. The optometrist was very professional, thorough and respectful. Carefully explained all the procedures and I never felt rushed. Great selection of frames to choose from and they helped pick out several that were complimentary to my face shape. Ready in 2 days. Horrendous customer service. I've been waiting for over a month for my glasses and they can't seem to deliver. Full disclosure, my prescription is quite high however that's no excuse to be waiting for over a month for my paid order. All I've been hearing this past weeks is sorry, sorry, sorry. If you can't do the task tell me so I can't stop wasting my time. It's been 33 days since I pay for my glasses and they still can't give me a date as to when I will be getting them. I'm canceling my order asap and taking my money somewhere else where they can get the job done. I don't know If I'm the only one with this experience with this location but I am completely and utterly dissatisfied with LensCrafters as a whole for this unbearable experience. Nice selection of glasses and staff were pleasant until my glasses were ready. They inform me they switched my prescription with my daughters and vice versa. Instead of expediting the fix, like one of the women told me it would be 20 minutes, they told me I had to wait another hour. When I expressed my unhappiness the manager said "sorry" and that was it. After spending 3 1/2 hours in the area because I do not live close. Spent $500 only to receive a $50 refund and a half apology. I've bought all my glasses here, my family's exams here. Unfortunately this will be the last time I come back to this store. Very upset with this store. read more

My mother spent over $350 on a pair of transition reading glasses three years ago. She had a bad experience with the store representative at that time when she complained that the glasses did not darken. She was told by this woman that this was normal and not to expect what you see on television ads. My mother had to return to the store when that sale's rep was not there to get the glasses corrected. Now, the coating on the glasses is coming off. My mother returned to the store yesterday, 8/12/20, and encountered the same woman. She eventually spoke with the manager. The manager and the woman conferred and decided that the coating coming off is regular wear and tear. My mother feels as though she is not being treated fairly at this store location because of differences in race. My mother is 76 years old and going through chemo, radiation, and immunotherapy for lung cancer. She does not need this hassle in addition to all that she is going through in her life right now. I do not want her to have to argue with those people anymore. Her life is too short. And, her breath is too precious. read more

Quick, painless and through. Great experience for the price of just over 45 bucks. Make sure you use your AAA card for a 30% discount if you do not have insurance. Dr. Stephen Delgado was great, very through and professional. I cannot stress the importance of getting an eye exam once a year. As they say your eyes are the window to your soul and often times your eye professional can see problems with your health before they appear. The best 45 dollars I spent this year. read more

I came in for an eye exam appointment. I came a little early to give myself time to pick out frames. There was 3 representatives and 2 customers at the time I came and I waited at least an hour to be fully helped. After my eye exam I came back out to purchase my frames and still had to wait at least another hour and half to be assisted. (My Appt was at 1230, i arrived at 1130a and didn't leave until 230pm. After getting my frames they told me my lenses would be ready to pick up by 430p the same day and to come back. When I came back I found out that my lenses weren't in stock and nobody ever called to let me know I wouldn't be getting my glasses. Thankfully I had a spare pair of glasses or else I would've stuck with no glasses at all and I need glasses to drive. So I waited over two hours to be fitted for glasses and waited 2hrs for them to be prepared just to find out my lenses weren't available. A waste of my whole day from 1130a-430pm . I will not be returning to this location. I later in the week went to the Columbia location and they had me in and out within an hour and a half. read more

Both myself and my wife have purchased eye glasses from lens crafters before. When they were in Owings Mills Mall. Unfortunately, since they moved from the defunct mall to St. Thomas, they left their customer service behind. Today I went in to get a new pair of RX Sunglasses and patiently waited while nobody bothered to say hello. I looked around for frames while waiting to be seen by sales person, since I already had prescription. I was finally acknowledged by a sales person who told me about the 50% lens promotion and proceeded to show my some Oakleys and RayBan frames. He was very helpful, showing me a comparison of how 4 frames looked on me using an iPad app. I finally settled on a pair of Oakleys. He proceed to measure my eyes and placed an order which I paid for. At this very point, the branch manager or whoever was in charge of the store, and was sitting directly behind us with another customer, asked him for the copy of the order and informed him (not me) that the 50% off promotion doesn't apply to Oakleys, leaving it up to the sales person to handle the awkward situation and proceeding to continue ignoring me. Needless to say I was appalled, they sold me a pair of glasses and then asked to pay additional $200 on top of the $387.50 (with discount), because they made a mistake. I can understand the promotion exemptions but don't waste over an hour of my time and inform me of the exemption after you made a sale. Needless to say I immediately asked for a refund. And they will never see me or my family again. Ever! Their exorbitant prices which they then have "promotions" on combined with total lack of respect for their customers hopefully will drive them out of business. read more

I had a horrible experience with LensCrafters Owings Mills. I most likely I won't be visiting any LensCrafters franchises. I ordered and paid for my new lens on Sept 15th, they wasn't ready until October 13th. The original due date was Sept 22nd. I was told they lost my frames but found them, they give me my glasses with a generic lens until my new lens come in but they never placed the order for my new lens until September 29th. I received a VM on October 9th saying my lens are ready. Still no explanation on why the order took so long. I went to store to pick up my new lens, they couldn't find them so I had to wait 20 mins for them to locate my lens and another 30 mins for them to switch out the lens. no apologies from the manager or anything...just thanks and bye! It's bad when you have to reach out to corp and the Regional Managers and you don't even want to speak to them. Disappointed with the product here. They have a nice amount of eyeglasses to show you but the prices are crazy!! I thought that they were the inexpensive place, but I checked out other stores and found that they are expensive!! I asked other people that got glasses there and they told me they never checked out any pricing. I did go back to a different location to look at the glasses but nobody would help me.
