I was able to schedule a same day appointment to accommodate my schedule. Upon entering the building (I'm always early to my appointments) I was greeted professionally. We were greeted and showed the way to the waiting area. And in a professional manner was treated and seen efficiently and effectively. While the prescription for the eye exam was being administered we were shown the glasses available and explained how the process worked with my insurance. Once we found what we wanted it took no more than 15 minutes to order what we needed and wanted. I also had my order the next day. Terrible! First one location lets you make an eye appt, but in small writing does not tell you that you will not actually be seen by a doctor. Then they said you could go to Cedar Hill for a doctor. I called Cedar Hill and they don't have a doctor in-house until next week. Went through a lot of other calls...and even though it just has a name it is Stanton Optical...a monopoly of nothing good...Does nobody actually see a doctor these days?! read more

If you go in make sure you don't get Alissa. This was my first time going in my appointment was at 6:30 when I got there she was with her face. After my eye exam she went straight to the register with out her telling me to look for any glasses so I ask her if I can look for glasses she said yes after that I told her I wanted the 2 for $79 she told me I didn't qualify with her not giving me more details and why I didn't. I understand she might been in a hurry to leave home since they close at 7 or had a bad day. I left with so many questions and no answers. So I had to go the day after and speak to someone else for them to explain why I didn't qualify for the 2 for $79. I spoke to JO such a lovely lady that took her time to explain why I didn't qualify. If you decide to go in make sure you go in the morning and get JO she'll take the time to explain everything if you have questions. Other than that this place is less expensive than other places. The one start it's cause Alissa could have done so much more for customers service and she decided not to. read more

First of all shout out to Joanne!!! She was the young lady that conducted the exam aside from the doctor in the screen. Her attitude was so gentle and inviting. She was very patient and cleaned everything including my foundation off the equipment after my use. (hey I like being cute even if it's half my face)Thank You Joanne. I'm a normal client of LensCrafters but here in Texas they never returned my calls for an appointment so I'm glad they didn't because I would have never had this experience. My appointment was Thursday (and you can set up your appointment online) and I showed up early like 45 mins early lol All they staff was chill and the appointment was a good amount of time. This location tends to be slow moving even without a lot of customers. It's usually no more than 2-3 guests at a time but they get the job done. I've noticed an increase in price for their services and most everything is an add on including basics like lens shaving. That's even free for online places like Zenni Optical for $10 glasses. So expect a lot of extra charges if you want a complete pair up to standard. read more

I love this EyeLab! I have been a bit reserved to make appointments until absolutely necessary. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The inside and equipment is very clean. The technician helping the doctor on screen is the best!! She was very thorough, timely, and friendly. I could understand everything said or asked by the Doctor on screen, and she was also patient with my eye struggles as I attempted to read the exam letters. Ms. Lisa helped to repair my old frames, and placed the order for the new frames, as well as the contact order. Overall I was in/out in under an hour & a half, which also included any pre-paperwork I needed to fill out, AND I was 10 minutes late! I purchased glasses a few months ago and the service was awful. Since then, I've discovered that my lenses pop out every time I wipe them off, the glasses were crooked, and when I took them to a real eye doctor to check the prescription (because they were giving me headaches), I found out that the prescription was off in one eye. This is THE worst experience I have ever had getting glasses, and I wouldn't be surprised if it was all on purpose. Go elsewhere. You don't work as hard as you do to have to waste your money and/or insurance on people and products who are incompetent, unprofessional, vindictive, and ghetto. If you still refuse to believe my experience with this company, at least go to another location. Because this one is everything stereotype that you can imagine when it comes to franchises, the city it's located in, and the class of people who work there. I went to Stanton Optical for the first time in Cedar Hill, TX and I don't recommend using them. I went for an eye exam and to order glasses and contacts. The exam was virtual and I had to make 3 trips to see a doctor because the initial exam I had wrong prescriptions and I tried 4 different contacts. Unfortunately I had to cancel my order and get a refund because I never received a correct pair of glasses as well. I now have to go back to my original eye doctor. The advertisement if a free eye exam and 2 pairs of glasses for $79 is false advertisement as well. read more

My daughter and I decided to try this new vision place that opened up in our city. They are popping up everywhere. When we first walked in everyone was very respectful and friendly that I will give 5 stars . We were escorted to the back for our appointment. I was a very disappointed for the following reasons. 1st we were there almost 2 hrs and our eye exam consisted of an optometrist via a TV which is fine I know technology is changing however felt a bit impersonal. 2nd the prescription for our contacts were incorrect. The first set for myself I couldn't see near or far, the 2nd set i can see near but not far. 3rd we were both asked to come back to see the Dr. In person. 4th. We come back in person only to be there 1 1/2 hours again. The whole experience was over whelming and strange for us. We personally did not like the whole set up for this vision place but may work for others. read more

Young black male first defective glasses, pulled some off the shelf that people have been trying on. Excepted that then a month later defective glasses broke pull some off the shelf. The eye exam was easy and quick, but waiting 35 minutes for a piece of paper to be printed with my prescription was ridiculous. On top of that, even though they MEASURE your PD (Pupillary Distance) when you have an eye exam, they won't include that information on your prescription. You're only given your PD if you buy glasses from them. I called later and asked them to give me my PD since they DID measure it, but they said they didn't record it anywhere since i didn't buy glasses. They emailed me instructions on how to measure it myself at home. You can't purchase prescription glasses from anywhere without a PD. Scummy practices. read more

This was my absolute worst experience in getting an eye exam, due to the automation and not being able to interact with a doctor in person. Everything was so impersonal. The doctor appears on a screen and I had a question about an eye concern that she couldn't address virtually. Then when it came time to request the actual prescription for my contacts, after I tested the trial pair, I was on hold for 43 minutes before someone got to my call and then after 29 minutes of "researching" for my prescription, the lady said that she needed to get in contact with an agent regarding the "status" of my prescription. These calls are routed outside of the country and speaking to a person in the actual store is IMPOSSIBLE! read more

First time trying out My Eyelab and it was great ! Got two pairs of lenses and my contact exam all in once. I love they are open til 7pm! Needed that. The store manager Cleveland was extremely helpful with his employees when needed. Jaun and Carly helped me when picking up my glasses and I was in and out under 10 min. That's EXACTLY what I needed. Worst experience ever. Not a very big selection to choose from. I order two pair of glasses. they didn't call to let me know my glasses were ready. after five weeks I decided to stop by just to inquire if ready. They were, one pair was placed in the wrong frames. I was told that this is what the lab sent them so I had to settle for the totally wrong color frames. The frames were cute just not the color I chose. the staff there lacked professionalism. I immediately addressed the issue of my lens being placed in the wrong frames. the brand manager was so rushed to get the deal done, adding unnecessary fees to my account. a two year plan was added to my account without my request, only after reading my receipt did I question the charge. long story short i was given the wrong frames from this location, being overcharged without my approval. I will never visit this location again. i wondered if all locations were the same. I shopped the Grand Prairie location a totally different experience. top notch customer service and no added fees to my account. I expected , courteous customer service, professional during the entire visit is what I received. If you care to shop at Eyelab Cedar Hill by all means shop there, just expect to visit this locations several times correcting their mistakes. read more

DO NOT SHOP! My sons glasses prescription were put in the wrong frames. My children will have to wait another 2 weeks before they will get their frames. This means a whole month to get glasses! Eye Lab is a great place and I had a great experience. They are using the latest tech applications for Eye health, and I had my exam, selected and bought new frames, and had my old glasses tightened in a little over an hour. The telemedicine doctors visit was really cool. And finally, I paid less for my glasses than I did 4 years ago from another vendor. Oh, and did I say I was a 'walk-in' customer? First time here. Customer service was great and employees friendly. Place was clean and whole process went smooth. The problem and reason for the rating was the pricing and charging practice. They make you feel and tell you that they are saving you a lot of money and show it to you on a computer screen, but with the quick and smooth talking you end up paying a lot more than expected. Reminds me of a good Con artist. Their buy one get one free sale is a joke. Advertised promotion is just a way to get you in the doors. I got fooled once but there is no second chances from me. I did business with them and paid what was said but I already knew this was my last time. So I will be taking my business somewhere else when the time comes.I tried this new place due to the other Eye location across the freeway was booked for the next 30 days.
