I have been with my optometrist for over 10 years now and have frequented visionworks on az /ocotillo off and on for quick fixes (3 kids in glasses plus me - lots of little fixes:)) which is much more convenient location for us and they've always been so great with our "walk-ins" for readjustments and whatnot...but It wasn't until covid that they now have a loyal customer in me and my family. In particular a gentleman that works there, Tim. My oldest is a bit of a fidgety kiddo with a twist of OCD so when he bent his glasses...at 6pm in the midst of a shut down and online school the next morning that he wouldn't be able to read or see much of anything, turned our easy going evening into slightly shy of a catastrophic event to say the least. After calling our optometrist and looking online for anyone available...We drove to visionworks in hopes they would be open. As the internet wasn't up-to-date with hours of operation. At first we were turned away but Tim Not only had empathy, but I think saw the desperation lol he took us in. and to boot they themselves were burried in customers, social distancing, and closing. Tim not only had empathy for my sons situation, he showed above par customer service to us, very efficient and got us out in under 10 minutes. He probably had no idea the kind of day we were having and with just his small acts of human kindness and excellent customer service he turned our evening around and got loyal customers read more

Customer Service and product are excellent. I would recommend finding another place for eye examination. Just remember, the eye examination folks are in business to sell spectacles. A minor change in near or far sight can be ignored without any impact in your ability to see. If there is no need for new glasses, do not expect them to tell you. Ask questions and use your best judgement. read more

Tim Torrez was a very knowledgeable and caring person. He did not try to up sell me and gave a great recommendation. He also noticed that my glasses that I came in with were a little dirty and not straight so he took them and tweaked and cleaned them. read more

Super grateful to this very nice staff. My teenage son got his first contacts at his pediatric eye specialist about 45 minutes away this morning. He got home and could NOT get them out and was in a panic. I called this new Visionworks as we use the one in Chandler mall but this one is much closer, and they said bring him in! They were able to take them right out. They also gave us some free solution when we bought a case and they were just truly nice and helpful. Many thanks from a grateful mom! I stopped by Visionworks on Monday to have the arm of my glasses repaired after I sat on them on Sunday. Tim Torrez came out to my car to get my glasses, fixed the mangled arm, brought them back out, thought of one more thing that might help the arm stay attached, went back in, added that treatment, cleaned the glasses, and was incredibly kind and efficient through the whole thing. Just a Netflix brought us The Last Dance, the Visionworks on Arizona Ave and Ocotillo has perfected a triangle-like offense to satisfy customers. The 3 teammates I worked with today were TIM, JENNIFER, and DR. HARVEY. This site has a NEW VIBE that is peaceful, helpful and sincere. I needed only lenses in 3 of my existing glasses, and I am overly satisfied with the service provided; all the while wearing their COVID masks and maintaining professionalism. I only use Visionworks, but had traveled to a different location because of my uneasiness at the Ocotillo location. Nothing personal, but before 2018, it was different. Now, management is smoothly running a serene location that is pleasant to visit for eye exams AND/OR for purchasing new frames. I wish I went somewhere else to get glasses. My first appointment was long and I had to go back and pick glasses. Waited 2weeks and no one called and I found out my glasses were ready in 3 days. I made another appointment to get my glasses checked and when I arrived no appointment was set for me. The first lady acted like she didn't have time to helped and just went over to answer the phone and told someone else to help me. The guy asked me for the 3rd time if I got my glasses there and what was my name. Then asked from across the room for my DOB. Who wants to yell that out! Then he asked me 3times how I read through my glasses and said my prescription was wrong and it's going to take 14days for me to get my glasses back. Very disappointed in the service and I will never get glasses here again. read more

My husband and I were really impressed with Tim Torrez! We were in for eye exams and replacement glasses and sunglasses for both of us. Tim was professional, personable, knowledgeable and skilled. He did a great job walking us through a clear presentation of options, us measured and fitted for four sets of frames in good time. And he managed all that while on the phone with tech support, getting a store wide computer failure addressed. Never seemed stressed , just juggled it all like a pro. I never ever write reviews on places but I just had to for this one. First off the employees don't care about your needs or ask questions about your wants or needs. Second I'm in and out of town and paid for eye exam from them and received a glasses prescription then left town and came back and they wanted me to pay for a whole new eye exam just for the contacts! Spoke to two different people and waited two days for the manager to finally call me back and say I could pick up my prescription. Third when I finally went in to get my prescription I was going to order contacts and the employee was so uninviting and negative that I didn't even want to stay or order from them. I got my prescription and left. I will never do business with this company again. Very very disappointed. read more

Both my kids came here to get glasses and my wife received a message that they're ready for pick up. When we got to the store to pick them up, they had the frames and prescription mixed up between my boys. They apologized and said they would correct the issue and put a rush on it. 3 days later my wife received another message that the glasses have come in. She drove down to pick them up and guess what they just put another order in without changing anything!! This location doesn't have competent employees. read more

Very good experience here. Initially, there was some confusion about my insurance coverage (another location was unable to sort it out). Tim did a great job of working through the problem and assuring that I got the most out of my insurance benefits. The attention to detail was great and I'm pleased with the glasses I've received. My husband, son and I chose Visionworks as it is close to home and was covered by our insurance. We love the glasses we selected, the Doctor was fabulous, thorough and my hubby can finally see/read while working! Hans (and Eunique) treated us like family and made sure we were very well taken care of. Called for an appointment for an exam, and was surprised when they could give me one on that same day. I arrived early to look at some frames and was greeted by a very friendly guy named Tim. He gave me a tray to save frames that I liked and told me some info on 2nd pair savings. Went on to get my exam for both contacts and glasses. Everyone from the women taking the paperwork to Dr. Harvey were very warm and friendly, with lots of smiles. They all looked like they enjoyed working there. Dr. Harvey was awesome. She worked with me to get the best contacts and she was quick. Tim hooked me up with some frames and he was quick. I particularly liked that when I mentioned that I was trying to stay within a price range, he never treated me like a cheapskate. He was so quick at coming up with solutions to stay under my price range, his calculator was smoking!!! They send reminders for your annual exam, so I'll definitely be going back to this location. Took nearly two hours just to get two pairs of glasses. The staff is very loud and doesn't know how to do simple parts of their job. Especially the staff member that shares my name. She couldn't spell and took forever end then didn't save the info she entered. I don't recommend this place. read more

I made a same day appointment to be seen by Dr Harvey at this location. The reason I needed to be seen was because I had an infection in my eye, and the medicine I was taking wasn't working, and the infection was getting worse. I don't remember ever seeing or hearing about anyone getting this level of treatment at an eyeglasses store, but it was Saturday and I needed to be seen, so I made the appointment and Dr. Harvey took her time and really did everything she could to help me, including having me back the next day for a follow up appointment that I believe she squeezed in after her normal hours, which I really appreciate. I really can't say enough about the doctor's willingness to accommodate me and to really go the extra mile, which included her calling around to several pharmacies to locate the medication I needed on my behalf as I waited. I will most likely make this my new preferred location even though it's not the closest location. read more
