The staff at this VisionWorks location are freaking wizards! The frame I received when I ordered a new pair of eyeglasses had a weirdly asymmetric distribution of color. When I showed it to them, they popped the lenses out and were somehow able to get them back into a display frame that had a much more uniform color distribution. It took about 10 minutes to get the lenses into the display frame, but they never gave up. They had to repeatedly heat the display frame and work other kinds of magic, but were eventually able to switch the lenses out. A shout out to Mercedes, Lea, and Ashley for going above and beyond to switch out the lenses. Outstanding service from staff who seem to really care about making their customers happy. read more

Firstly, I have been to all of the major Optometry company's, but none can compare to the attention and detailed care that I received from Visionwork's staff and the phenomenal Dr. Rosani Bhavsar! I've been an eyeglass wearer for 58years and a contact lense wearer for 43 years. They test for everything and have a machine that you can see an pray of the health of your eye! I am a brain cancer patient and I waited 45 minutes to get my glasses tightened that I bought at visionworks they kept on taking patient after patient who came after me. I finally left and went to the four eye's across the street and was seen right away even though I did not buy my glasses from them. He said they take any one off the street that are not licensed opticians. read more

I had an appointment today at 10:00. My daughter was with me and she had to use the bathroom before we left so we were running about 5 mins behind I tried to call to let them know and no one answered. When we got there the women at the front desk was very rude told me to sign in and fill out a paper. When I finished filling the paper out she told me to to have a seat in the back waiting area. I sat there for 5 mins and the same women came back and stood next to me for 20 seconds before she even said anything and then said we can't see you since you were late you have to come back at 12 very rudely. Mean while their was no one in the store but one other patient and 4 workers! I will not be returning there again!! read more

This experience was terrible here from front to back. The only person not awful in the process was the person who processed my return. The eye doctor who did my checkup was rude and uninformative, the person who finished our transaction as well as who gave me the glasses when they came in couldn't have been less helpful. All in all, you are better off not going through insurance and paying 3x what they charge just to not deal with this place. Save yourself the aggrevation. read more

I will not return to Visionworks. 1 - On our first visit, the staff did not run eligibility correctly. I was told my insurance was terminated and my son couldn't be seen. I have vision insurance. My employer is a major hospital. No patient should ever find out at the time of check-in that there's an issue with insurance. This should be done prior to and I should have been notified via phone. 2 - We return a week later. Eligibility is run correctly and coverage is confirmed. Visit is going fine until...... the optometrist INSISTS my 11 yr old son's eyes be dilated or he wouldn't be able to finalize the eyeglass prescription. I expressed my concern as I believed dilation was for the health of the eye. The optometrist told me I was wrong and that it was necessary. My son had homework to do and I didn't want to do it that night, so we scheduled the dilation for another evening. After I left I called another optometrist office, and they said an 11 yr old doesn't need eye dilation for glasses. Again, I work for a major hospital. I manage systems for patient access and billing. I know that the doctor was trying to increase his reimbursement on the visit. I went for my exam in May to Visionworks of Moorestown/MountLaurel. I've had issues in the past with other places not giving me my correct prescription. Always feeling unhappy with service and product. But let me tell you, the amount of patience and care I've received during this whole process was UNMATCHED! The service from beginning to end was AMAZING! I'm extremely indecisive and they helped me pick out the frames that were perfect for me. I've had glasses for over 15 and never before found a pair I liked or was even comfortable with wearing. They made this process so easy for me. Which to me is a true sign of professionalism. Even my eye exam was one of the best that I've had in years, maybe ever. Not exaggerating! They helped solve my vision issues without a hitch. Glasses came within a week. I've been recommending this place specifically to family and friends. I walked in insecure, and walked out with a sense of self. Thank you to all the staff that helped me. I was displeased with VisionWorks representative Hope that if that is her name. She does not have the customer service abilities needed to work with people. She was unpleasant disposition that was unprofessional upon opening the store in Mt. Laurel. When my husband called to inquire about his glasses she was cold and did not provide the information requested. I jumped in the call to ask about the status of my eye prescription and she hung up because I had additional questions and share that she is not demonstrating a customer friendly experience. I called right away and Jen answered who was professional and responded to my questions with clarity. It turns out that Hope lied about the status of my fax, she did not check in with Kiesha, the eye specialist. Hope needs corrective action and retraining in costumer service. I will not return to this store again once I receive my glasses. While there, Keisha serviced me and my husband. She was very informative and professional in her service. First time at this location. Had to change doctors because my long time eye doctor no longer takes my insurance. I have an appointment for 11:15 AM and my wife had one for 11:30. I didn't end up getting seen by the doctor until 12:00 pm. Ok just a simple mixed up as one of us had to wait but 45 minutes is unacceptable. This location has four doctors. Not sure why only one doctor was working on a weekend when they were fully booked for the day and weekends are generally more crowded. Also had my eyes dilated. Doctor told me she would see me another in 15 minutes. Never called me back. I walked out at 1:15 pm after spending two hours here. Just seem like she was too busy and overwhelmed with back to back appointments. Perfectly good place to buy glasses but save yourself the trouble and go see an individual practitioner, in an office setting, for an eye exam instead of a place in a strip mall. read more

My first experience with Visionworks in Mount Laurel occurred this past Sunday. I only went in to select new eyeglasses...did not meet with a doctor. I was immediately greeted and welcomed by a very nice young lady. I believe her name was Mariah. (and I apologize if my spelling is in error). She asked about insurance which was not using then proceeded to explain the current promotions running. I then browsed around for a bit to select a new frame. The store appeared to be shorthanded and Mariah was also working with a new trainee. Sorry, I don't recall the name of the trainee but both handled themselves very well. I have worked in retail and know full well how easy it can be to lose composure in such circumstances but Mariah was not only able to lend full support to the trainee but also made sure to greet and engage with other customers entering the store in a very friendly and professional manner. Well done on the part of both young ladies. I rate only 4 stars for two reasons: 1) I have not yet picked up the new glasses so I can't comment on the finished product at this point. 2) Having 2 sales associates + a trainee working the showroom on a Sunday seems a bit short sighted on the part of management. In fairness, I don't know the backstory. Perhaps it was a situation where someone called out sick but if not, management really needs to look into the weekend staffing for this location. read more

There is a young guy...arabic maybe..didn't catch his name that works at this store and is the RUDEST sales associate I have ever encountered. Pushy would be an understatement to describe this guy. He invaded my personal space and was extremely cocky. He condescendingly asked if I was ok when I kept fidgeting with my leg while he talked. (I just had surgery on my leg) Then when I asked if they could tell me my PD, he rudely said that they do, but only for paying customers. Then proceeded to escort me to the door touching my back which creeped me out. #1 DO NOT TOUCH A CUSTOMER. The creep meter kept rising the longer he talked. I came in and was seen to immediately. Had my eyes checked and my prescription was written within 30 minutes. The lady at the front was super friendly and even measured my pupillary distance for me. My husband, my 3 boys and myself all had eye exams done. I feel the Dr did a thorough job. He spent a good amount of time examining all of us. There was a male (I forgot his name but wears glasses) and a female we also dealt with, both were great, very at-tentative, patient and fun to work with. I would recommend them. read more

I visited this location and once I walked in there was 3 young ladies saying Hello all at once and I started laughing and so did they (that was funny). I ask if I could get and exam and no I didn't have an appointment but one of the staff members that I think her name was Mariah said "Let me see if I could fit you in." Then that's when it went down hill..... Joanna (GM) said NO because the doctor has blocked out time???? (whatever that meant.) I notice another young lady (Hope) walk to the back of the store and came back and said the the doctor can fit me in. Then Joanna said to her "I already explained that the doctor couldn't she him."
