Always helpful every time I come in! They get busy but they do a great job getting you in and out!

Very friendly and professional employees (sales reps) overall, but the corporate mentality is just abysmal (very, very poor). Their wait-times are typically EXTREMELY long, and that's not once in a while, or on some days, it's EVERY SINGLE TIME that I visit their stores. This is not the way to run any business unless the prices are rock-bottom or the absolute lowest in town, which -- believe me -- they're not! VisionWorks is apparently profit-driven to such a degree that they'd rather lose customers than ever hire more than a bare-bones, skeleton crew. I went today to pick up my order, and I counted TEN customers waiting to either pick up orders, or shop for a new pair. That's ten people (plus their many children) waiting for ONE worn out, seriously overworked employee! Does that seem like a sustainable or sane business practice? I, for one, will never shop there again, insurance or not. read more

Absolutely the worst customer service around. Waited over an hour to return my mother's glasses. Both employees took other customers over us obviously because we were not purchasing anything. The manger continued to ignore us and took her time with a customer when she could have multi tasked. read more

I've been going to this store for years now ( my whole family , actually). Our insurances have changed but the care and service of VW palm harbor has never changed. They are thorough when explaining benefits , the quality of their products and are very easy to make business with. They deliver the glasses promptly and are available for any adjustments Year-long. Arden was able to address all my questions and concerns. Zoey was amazing too. I was somewhat disappointed because during my initial consult Zoey stated she could make glasses on the spot. The lab for glasses was still open for a couple more hours, But they refused to do the classes on the spot because "they were closing" Arden then used as a comeback "most glasses when ordered take about 7 days" instead creating the pair. It was because just lost a pair of glasses. Concluding, If another employee promises a customer something, then the next employee HAS TO honor the promise! Regardless any circumstance look up a customer should ever leave a store empty handed after what she said. read more

Patiently waited over 20 minutes to get helped from a retail associate who said they would be able to assist me to then be told by a different employee that they couldn't help me . Very frustrating . I had my actual examination at the Westfield Citrus Park location but decided to get my frames at this one since it was closer to home. Nicole is absolutely FANTASTIC!!! I picked out a couple of frames myself but couldn't find any I really liked. Nicole took it upon herself to go through the store with a fine tooth comb and handpick frames that she thought would not only look good for my face shape but would also be advantageous for my sight while wearing. She made my purchase a seamless, relaxed and enjoyable experience. She's an absolute delight to work with and I highly recommend anyone who is thinking about visiting this location to seek her out. Poor Customer Service! I was told the wait time was 20 minutes. I waited 1 hour and 10 minutes. The three employees are over worked therefore very cranky. Then they tried to tell me my prescription didn't cover everything when it does. I'm going to keep looking. read more

I have gotten eye exams along with frames and lenses here before but when I went there for glasses today there was a sign on the door "Masks must be worn while in our store". So I went to LensCrafters for my glasses. No mask required if you have your prescription. read more

Service okay when purchasing frames but rude and dismissive when I went back to pick up my completed order with new lenses. Many people waiting and few employees to help. Tried to get rid of me without addressing my concerns over my new lenses. Told me I was "required to wear them for two days" before they would do anything. WTF!? Eventually talked to a different employee who was slightly less rude and got help with my concerns. Will NOT be returning next year. By far one of the worst experiences at an eye doctor. This Optometrist is pushing Vuity eye drop prescriptions as a way to pad her appointments with unnecessary exams.. The initial exam took me almost 2 hours, with an appt. After less than a just a month she refused to refill my prescription demanding I come for dilation, which they had told me initially was unnecessary if I paid extra for an alternative exam, which I did. They also falsely stated the manufacturer said it was required, that the drops were causing glaucoma and other issues so extra exams were necessary to ensure bad things didn't happen to my eyes. I asked to see the notice from the manufacturer and they admitted no such notice existed. I was also told on two separate occasions the doctor was too busy to answer my questions about this over the phone although the supposed risks of the prescription after use for less than 30 days are so great I needed to immediatly return, spend more time and money to come see her. There is nothing on the manufactureres website or anywhere else on the web about this supposed "requirement". I checked with the manufacturer and this is untrue. Will be reporting them to the state. read more

Visionworks has a great and varied selection of frames, sunglasses and contact lenses. We were helped by Nick, and he was so patient and helpful. Between my husband and I, we must have tried on dozens of pairs, and took pictures to send to our daughters for approval! Nick made sure we got the best price. We are happy customers. read more

First of all, times have been difficult. Coming in for glasses w appt they take the time to sell their product. Follow up will be necessary bc fitting of new glasses is usually needed. Ok that being said having to have adjustments or even calling , Good Luck getting through all there prompts. 25 min wait time, I do believe as much as they charge for their product should be backed up w stellar service, which I haven't experienced. read more

I went in to get an eye exam then take advantage of their buy one get one deal. The Optician was fine, and I got my new prescription in short order, then was told to look for glasses by the Optician's assistant while I wait for a sales associate. In a near empty store I wait 20 minutes, until I finally go back and ask an associate how much longer it will be and I am informed they didn't know I was waiting to be helped. I feel like an idiot at this point, I did as I was told by the optician's assistant and it wasted a bunch of time. Another 15 minutes goes by and a new customer comes in and is helped immediately, when I ask the same associate again if they had forgotten about me, because I was clearly there before the new customer, I am very rudely told that I need to be patient and that they are very busy (with almost no one in the store). Not sure what I did to be treated that way. Never going back. read more

This five star review is for Samantha because she was so kind and patient with my 93 year old mother. The glasses cost more than mom had expected so Samantha worked to bring the price down by finding different frames to suit mom. She explained everything to mom and had to say everything at least twice as mom is hard of hearing. Previous customer for eye exams and glasses for me and my family. Horrible experience and wasted time today. Had an appointment for contact lens exam and from the beginning of the appointment process shared I do not want testing for retina or pressures. This is due to the fact I have had 3 comprehensive eye exams in the last three weeks at St Lukes Eye Institiute and Retina Specialists of Florida. I was willing to pay the full exam cost even though I was going to receive reduced services. I also brought the previous detailed reports should the Dr at VisionWorks needed to review. Both previous Ophthalmologist's said its not necessary be tested again. Today the VisionWorks Dr. refused to take a look at my reports that had recent data to help me. I will never step foot in this eye glass chain or their sister businesses ever again. read more

It's very unfortunate that Yelp doesn't have a Negative Star rating system for Horrible vendors. I wrote a very positive review for this location back in December of 2017, since that time this place has really gotten Horrible since Marie left. Recently I went to this location again with an attempt to purchase new glasses on September 25th, at that time I was "Promised" my glasses by October 9. I asked why so long because it's always been a week? I was told that things have changed. On the 9th, I was told there was a problem with my order and that it would be in on the 15th. I then emailed the Corporate Office with a detailed email explaining the problems that I was having and never received any reply from the Corporate Office in San Antonio, Texas. Today being the 15th, I went to the store to get my glasses and was told that my glasses still where not in and should be there on the 22nd. It is very apparent that no one at Corporate level or at the Store has ever heard of Customer Service. Please do yourself a favor, if your in need of new Glasses go anyplace other than here. read more

This was Not my first time at vision world. This time it was the worsted experience. Service is poor, understaffed und unqualified. They put the wrong lenses in and they did replace them. Then they did not fit and I had them adjusted 2 times. Last Friday, may 25, A young lady adjusted them again. I heard a crack, but she did not say anything and I can not see . Sure enough there is a crack in my $500 glasses. Don't know the outcome. Have to go tomorrow. Stay away as far as possible read more

The Ophthalmologist side of this business was fine and efficient. The retail side seems to have a lot to work on. There is a lot of up-selling and I felt like I was on a used car lot. After ordering my glasses I waited over a week and heard nothing from them as to wether my glasses were ready. I called and they had me on hold for almost 10 mins. to find out my glasses were ready. It looks like from some other reviews that there are some problems with this location. I will have to find another source for my glasses. read more

Tara did an excellent job for me, and for free. The frame of my Maui Jim sunglasses was bent and one of the plastic nose guards was missing. She fixed the frame, put on a new nose guard and gave me a Visionworks case so they don't get bent again. Much appreciated. read more

Not the friendly service you would expect. Some of the attitudes of the employee are not that good. I suspect that is because of the way management treats them. It usually shows by the employee how the management is. Good management good staff. They do have a very wide selection of glass frames but as usually they are ridiculously over priced. Glass frame that cost 5 bucks to make slap a brand name on them and charge $150. read more

Worst experience ever. There is never enough staff, there isn't a successful queuing system. I have gone back 3 times to have my new prescription/progressive lens sunglasses fixed and both times have been told the wait would be over 1.5 hours. I'm am reluctant to have my new lens for my glasses put into my own frames,,,,very afraid of the outcome. Nicole is usually the only one there that has any management capability, and she is always being interrupted by the other employees for questions and/or authorizations. I went to Visionworks for a second opinion and saw Dr Kuan. I thought she was very professional until she got upset at me for not checking diabetes on the patient info form. I may not be up to the lastest news but I thought being in the pre diabetic range meant you were only at risk of developing the disease, not that you currently had it. Getting upset at a patient, for whatever reason is very unprofessional and that scared the heck out of me. read more

When I went to pick out glasses, I was put on another waiting list. All told, I was there for over 2 hours, and the staff there seemed incompetent and unfriendly. My 12 year old has had glasses for a year now. When they completed her exam they prescribed transition bifocals. I questioned because it seemed odd that her eye sight had gotten that bad. After struggling with the Rx in her new glasses and no resolution from VisionWorks we took her to a different eye doctor ........ her Rx was completely wrong and she did NOT need bifocals! read more
