The office staff is so warm and friendly, you can tell that they really enjoy being there and doing their jobs. I have always gotten a very thorough exam with Dr. Tupps and they have a lot of patience while fitting me for my contacts. Overall a fantastic experience!! Today I went for a contact lens appointment... they would not even give me a firm price for the exam, other than it will be over $400+... and we will tell you what the final cost is going to be after the exam. The last time I had a contact lens exam at this practice the cost was $254. At $400, it is a 57% increase from my last eye exam three years ago. When I questioned the huge increase, I was told that Dr. Tupps kept his prices the same forever and that he did not charge enough. When I shared that that's a 20% increase per year, they again said he didn't charge enough. I left. Called another local eye doctor. My total eye exam cost, including contacts, was $215... Which they quoted me upfront. Within an hour I had my contact lens prescription and saved at least $185. We will not be back. They lost me as a customer. They also lost my husband as a customer. When I used to go to Dr. Tupps the waiting room was always packed. Today I walked into an empty, waiting room... Now I know why.

They don't deliver on their promises. And $400 for one pair is no bargan anyway. Avoid!

The doctor confirmed thru the exam my prescription had not changed and gave me the prescription. She suggested I try some different contacts and gave me a sample. I tried them the next day but did not like them and went back to my original total 1's. Now in July I would like to order more of my total ones but Eyeglass World and the doctor will not sign the original prescription unless I pay an ADDITIONAL $200+ for an additional NEW EXAM even though legally the original prescription is good for a year. This is extortion forcing me to PAY for a 2nd another exam. Fraud. Calling my lawyer. Unethical. I am willing to come in for the "follow Up" visit but I refuse to be blackmailed into paying for another exam when clearly this one is good for a full year and it has only been half a year. Total Fraud. They refuse to give me my prescription I PAID FOR ORIGINALLY without paying in FULL again. Horrible Business. Do NOT Recommend. I can see from the reviews this is not the first or second time they have held prescriptions hostage.

This is not the way to run any business unless the prices are rock-bottom or the absolute lowest in town, which -- believe me -- they're not! VisionWorks is apparently profit-driven to such a degree that they'd rather lose customers than ever hire more than a bare-bones, skeleton crew. I went today to pick up my order, and I counted TEN customers waiting to either pick up orders, or shop for a new pair. That's ten people (plus their many children) waiting for ONE worn out, seriously overworked employee! Does that seem like a sustainable or sane business practice? On top of that, our visit (wife went too and got glasses) was on April 21, 2021, and on January 29, 2022 I get notice that I owe $40 that medicare and my supplement did not pay. I would have NO PROBLEM with this EXCEPT, when asked before the doctor saw me I was assured that "IF I BOUGHT GLASSES, THEY WOULD COVER WHAT MEDICARE DIDN'T". Well, we walked out paying over $1,500 that day for 3 pairs of glasses, two for me, one for wife. My wife had gone to this location for well over a decade BEFORE it became a "MyEyeDr", but with the same "Doctor" and some of the same staff still here. Her insurance covers all of the appointments she has had in the past and with this visit, but mine did not. I filed an online complaint on January 29th, and although they assure you they will contact you within 3-5 days, I never heard a thing...I checked my Spam email weekly just in case it ended up there. On February 28th I got another bill...I paid it....WE will NEVER use MyEyeDr again, EVER! It is the principal of the thing...they don't care about their customers, this customer does not care about them.
