Last year they cancelled an appointment the day of because we didn't have insurance. I purchased some immediately. This year I called, made an appointment on a Tuesday for the next Thursday, 2 days away. We showed up and was told it was cancelled because we didn't confirm it on the text they sent. They had they the wrong phone number. They still wouldn't honor the appointment. read more

Made an appt for an eye exam in Royersford.. Verified with my insurance I was eligible for an exam for free. I've been there a few times before. I scheduled the appt, which was today, at 4:00 PM including my new phone number. When I get there, these two elderly women told me they can't take me because I was ineligible until 1/1/25. This was clearly wrong. I told them that. My insurance uses a company called March for approval. They said March wouldn't approve it. I asked them to call March, but they refused. I called my insurance and verified I am eligible for glasses this year. I told them that and they were rude, arrogant and condescending. They said they tried to call me, but my line was disconnected. I told them I put my new phone number in the appt request and she said, "I missed that." They DID absolutely nothing to resolve the situation. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! Before I left, I called another VisionWorks to check for coverage. They followed the steps, including March, and said I WAS ELIGIBLE. Bottom line: I drove 45 minutes one way, was presented false information only to be treated like crap by these horrible employees. I've never been treated so horribly in my life. I recommend NEVER GOING TO VISIONWORKS IN ROYERSFORD EVER. AVOID. They should be fired. read more

I ordered glasses in 2023 from visionworks in royersford. It was a little over a year when I decided I needed some replacement lenses due to the scratch free lenses having scratches. They informed me that I would need to get a new exam. I even paid for the additional warranty to have the glasses replaced if there any issues for nothing. Check with your eye doctor to see if your prescription is good for 2 years at least which a lot of docs used to do at least. I'm sending a pair of frames into lensrx.com out of New York to get a pair of lens replacements. Thanks for nothing visionworks. read more

Went there for glasses. Found 2 pair of frames I liked. Stood at desk while 2 workers chatted with each other. Then one was arguing with a customer over insurance. When the worker helped the woman behind me without saying anything to me, I left and went to a different eyewear store. read more

I have been a costumer for nearly 10 years. Always had a terrific experince. No, I do not trust them With privacy. Recently was unable to get an apt- so we went to Visionworks KOP in a rush for contact lenses. KOP was unable to keep my daughter's apt twice for contact lense trials. We contacted our normal center, Collegeville for help. They said they would call us when the trails came. We thought great, wonderful. Thank you. 30 mins later, The KOP office called to tell us, Kara the manager in Collegeville called them to say we rude for being upset the apt was canceled 2x & calling another office. Not only are they very unprofessional- they clearly are extremely petty. The need to be right supersedes patient care. read more

I went to Trappe Family Eyecare. No problem getting an appointment, ample staff, very courteous and accommodating. I left with a years order of contacts. In fact included with the paperwork I was asked to fill out upon arrival was a statement that said it was ILLEGAL not to give you your contact prescription at the end of the exam. They were not at all surprised that I fired Visionworks. read more

Waste of time. Asked for my insurance 3 separate times. Staff was unable to correctly read current prescription, refraction and eye exam were done remotely (wish that was explained in registering for appt). Doctor did not have correct info to interpret, was unable to display retinal pics, told me I had some "leakage" in the left eye but told me nothing about its significance as an early indicator of diabetic retinopathy. They have gone above and beyond for me and my family. Between broken glasses, lost glasses and scratches they always go above and beyond. They fixed my glasses today in minutes. Two week ago Crystal went out of her way to drive to another location to get my sons frames because there had been some kind of mix up with the ones they had ordered at the store. Highly disappointed in the customer service we received. Manager Sue was extremely unpleasant and unhelpful. I am extremely upset that we were told the only doctors note we could get was one that was handwritten by her on a blank piece of paper with nothing indicating that the note as actually from an eye doctors office. A school is not going to accept this type of document. We have received them upon request at every visit except this years. Sue claimed that they have "never" provided this. I even have the one we received the other year. My husband and daughter really like the doctors and the store appeared to be following Covid policy, but the front end help left us disappointed and upset. read more

If I could give this place a 0, I would. Lady at the front desk is EXTREMELY rude! They are extremely inexperienced. I walk out - an angry customer, to them bragging to me about how many sales they do a day. Lol, place is a JOKE! They also were great about discussing different options and showing me how to get the best deal for my dollar when it came to getting new contacts and glasses. The appointment setting is all done through a digital 'assistant'. There is no option to talk to a live person. So if you have a question you must go to the office. The staff is fine and optometrists are knowledgeable and caring. And there is no option for anyone who is hearing impaired on the phone menu. I was experiencing eye pain and suspected eye infection. It was a Monday morning and no other eye doctor could fit me in. This office of Visionworks (where I get glasses and contacts) got me right in. I was very impressed with the knowledge and care of the 2 female eye doctors. I was checked every 3-4 days to make sure there was healing progress happening. The office staff was very friendly, efficient and greeted me every time I went in, which was twice a week for 3 weeks! They also have always been very patient when I changed contacts (not like other private eye doctors--who seemed annoyed that I wasn't satisfied with the contacts they gave me). All in all, I have had a very satisfying experience with this office. Well done! read more

I needed new glasses. I had purchased mine here about 3 years ago so today I decided to stop by. Mind you I did not need an eye exam I had just been to the eye drs. When we walked in we were wearing masks, we stood patiently behind the line where we were told to and waited. The lady that came out instantly came over put on gloves and asked hurriedly if we had an appointment. I said no but I just wanted to look for glasses and I had my prescription and as I was talking I placed my hand in the chair blocking the walkway. She immediately yelled "don't touch anything" and then said "you can schedule for tomorrow not today". It was 2 pm and there was one person in the store. I politely said no thank you and left. I am very mindful of Covid rules and that the stores need to do what they need to do to protect themselves and everyone else. But she treated us like low life infected people not like a customer. Needless to say I will not be purchasing my glasses at this store ever again. read more

We were here only to pick out glasses for my son. My son is picky and took forever with picking out glasses, but the person helping us was pleasant and patient. I do wish he would have been a bit more proactive in making some suggestions to my son as he kept picking out stuff that quite frankly looked awful on him. But once we finally got the pairs of glasses picked out, no issue with the ordering and everything was clearly explained to us. I didn't feel like they were pushing any extra features on me to simply inflate the overall price. Glasses seemed to take awhile to come in, and ultimately I called to check on the status and was informed they just arrived. I sort of suspect they arrived earlier and they simply forgot to call us. But overall, was generally happy with the service and they did offer a pretty big selection of glasses. read more

Horrible, horrible service. Associate at the reception gave me the 3rd degree because I was 5min late for my optometrist appointment, even though I called them ahead of time to let them know (like they have NEVER made a patient wait 5min!). I would have left right then except I had to replace broken glasses before traveling the next day. But then the sales staff were rude and arrogant too so I did end up just telling them that they sucked and walking out. They really need to be re-trained on customer service at that store. Ended up spending $900 that day (so that's their loss) on two pairs of glasses at Pearle Vision at Providence Town Center, MUCH BETTER service and optometrist at that store. read more

Everyone here is perfectly nice...but seemingly inept. Repeated doctor sessions (mandated by the doctor) at the store results in lots of driving and long waits between contact lenses arriving for trial use. There have been many mistakes made in ordering my glasses, and many miscommunications. Since there is no communication between the stores, and no shared database, you basically have to begin from scratch even when you were a patient with this company at another location. read more

Was there with my sisters on one occasion and my mother on another and both visits were unpleasant. The Dr they see is nice and very personable but the associate working the front, named Sally is ignorant. On both visits she had an unnecessary attitude with my family and myself. Once over glasses pricing and the visit before that she just seemed so miserable and like we were a burden. I'm in the customer service industry and this is unacceptable behavior. She should work in the back away from customers if she can't fix her bad attitude. My family and myself will be going elsewhere. read more

Not even worth 1 star but sadly have to select at least one. Each visit (3 so far) to the 696 location has been awful. As soon as they see what insurance we have they begin to laugh as they treat us like we are below them and are very rude. They don't take the time to explain any prescription changes, ask any questions to verify about the type of lenses wanted or anything else. They automatically assume the "covered options" are what we want and then will act over the top surprised if asked a question about non-covered options. They will speak loudly about what the insurance does cover making us feel as though we are being put in a "mocking spotlight". There is NO reason why somebody who clearly has issues with people who actually need assistance with things they cannot afford should be working with people. There is NO reason why I should have to defend myself, my child, or our needs to someone who is supposed to be conducting theirselves professionally. Hopefully other locations conduct themselves better than the Royersford, PA one. Because there they are truly showing their true colors and it is ugly. read more
