The front desk chick with the red hair is absolutely horrible! She is so rude and sits there doing nothing and does not care about her customers. She copped an attitude with me the second I walked in! I was 6 min late rushing due to an IBS issue (horrible timing I know) and she sassed me so bad for being late! Eye appts here are apparently only 10 min and they book on every 10 min. (seems like a mill to get your money) There wasn't a single other person waiting for an exam. She was so rude to me, and looked HAPPY turning me away, and didn't offer to help me reschedule or anything. DID NOT CARE AT ALL!! The red hair chick with the attitude needs to be fired as she takes joy in ruining someone's day. I will never come to vision works ever in my life! Visionworks Seekonk, MA - After 17 days, I was not contacted that my eyeglasses were ready. I called and was told they had them and a quick hangup. I went to pick up my eyeglasses. The lady put them on the counter and said nothing. I put them on and pulled the mirror over. There was something to read on the counter, which she did not refer to, in oder for me to check if the prescription was correct. I asked for her to adjust them for proper fit. She said nothing, grabbed the glasses, did a little twist and handed them back to me...still no verbal interchange. I grabbed the glasses and walked out of the store...absolutely the worst customer service I have ever received!!!! read more

The absolute worst. I will preface this by saying I am forced to go here because my company picks VSP which owns Visionworks. This place is so inconvenient. No hours on Sunday? Why? Rude and I mean rude front desk. They pretend and I mean pretend to be busy. Like your job is front desk at Visionworks, get a grip. Walked in to get an adjustment, the place is jammed. Why? BECAUSE YOU DO NOT HAVE ENOUGH STAFF! I proceed to say I need an adjustment(on glasses I haven't worn this year because they are absolute garbage). They ended up becoming my backup because of their poor fit. I was told 20 mins. It's a Thursday at 10 am, you have got to be kidding me? Is anyone at corporate actually listening? I'm not waiting 20 mins for an adjusting or any service. Your signs say you take walk ins. Walk ins don't wait! Also, adjustments take a few moments...hire more people. In my 20 years of dealing with lens crafters this never happened. I absolutely hate that I have to go here, such rude people. Dr. Sousa and his staff were rude and very unprofessional... Figured I would give them another chance even though my prescription was incorrect last year and took two tries to get it right. They were not able to screw up the prescription this year, because after waiting 15 minutes they told me I did not have an appointment although I spoke with someone the day before to confirm. They said they would check with Dr. Sousa if would see me anyway because his last patient was 11 minutes late. When asked, Dr. Sousa didn't even have the decency to look up at me and say no. He made the customer service tell me. Male customer service rep was just as rude as Dr. Sousa. I will contact my vision provider to get another referral and voice my concerns about the horrible service at Visuonworks in Seekonk , Mass. if I could give a - 0 review, I would. read more

Needed an eye exam for an up to date prescription to purchase new sun glasses. I noticed they excepted walk-ins so, I headed over expecting it would be a bit and I could do some shopping in the mean time. Was met with smiles and given an appt for 20 minutes from then. I took the few minutes to check their frames. Nicely organized by price. They have a pretty decent selection of $65 frames and any frame can be made into sunglasses. Cool. The Dr was very nice and efficient. Was in and out within 45 minutes. Definitely my go to for eye exams and will be going back to get some of the frames priced. Two thumbs up. read more

On Friday, Mar 17, 2023 my son and I had our last exam at the Visionworks in Seekonk, MA. At the end of that appointment I made appointments for the following year for Monday Mar 18, 2024; for which I received an immediate text confirmation. At the beginning of Mar, not remembering this appointment, I sent a calendar reminder for myself, for Sunday Mar 10, 2024 to try and schedule annual exams, for my son and myself. On Sunday Mar 10, 2024, when accessing my phone and computer, to schedule an appointment, I discovered the existing appointment, eventually discovering a pair of text messages sent Monday Mar 4, 2024 to confirm our Mar 18, 2024 appointments. I immediately confirmed and received a reply of receipt of my confirmation. As a single parent with a very busy job who gets many, many text messages per day, it is not uncommon for some to be overlooked. On Monday Mar 11, 2024 I received two text messages confirming both appointments, for my son and I, on Monday Mar 18, 2024. Knowing this was coming, I arranged to take time off work, and arranged my schedule to be able to take the time off. On Thursday Mar 14, 2024 at 5:19 pm I received a call from the Visionworks Seekonk office informing me that my appointments had been given to someone else. When I asked why I was given a very disappointing excuse regarding poor computer automated scheduling systems. It was offered to "try" and contact the individuals to whom my appointments were given to "try" and correct the situation. I expressed that try doesn't help me when I've already made arrangements and "try" doesn't guarantee anything. I ended the conversation and contacted Visionworks customer service to submit a complaint. After completing the complaint, I reviewed my text messages and discovered the pair of text messages from Visionworks on Monday, Mar 11, 2024 confirming the Monday Mar 18, 2024 appointments. I again contact the Visionworks in Seekonk, MA expressing additional displeasure with the contradiction of a cancelled appointment and confirmation text messages. The customer service representative, who identified herself as Shea, in a very condescending manner, again blamed the poor computer scheduling system. I expressed my position that, since this was the fault of their scheduling system, I believed the correct course of action would be to contact the individuals to whom my appointments were given, explain the error and return the appointments to me; not "try" to get the individuals to give up their appointments. Shea claimed that she never said "try" rather that she would (an inaccurate claim). I accepted her assurances that the situation would be corrected however, prior to ending the phone call Shea stated "I'll see what I can do"; a statement which I informed here did not leave me with much confidence. She called me back at 6:46 pm Thursday Mar 14, 2024 and informed me that my son's appointment had been restored but, that she was waiting to hear back from the other individual concerning my appointment. At this point I have no assurance that I'll get complete resolution and do not understand why I do not simply get my appoint back leaving the notification of the other individual to follow. This entire situation is very disappointing, from the way which customer service handled the error to the unsatisfactory "one missed text and my appointments are given away". At the VERY least there should have been at least one other attempt to contact me. Visionworks needs to correct what is clearly a serious problem with their scheduling system. Regardless of the final outcome, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future, and ensuring I relate my problem to as many others as possible in the hopes others can avoid such a fiasco. read more

I purchased glasses online and they needed a slight adjustment so I decided to bring them to visionworks. I've previously purchased glasses and had an eye exam at this location and never had an issue. I was too afraid to attempt my own adjustment at home and thought I would be better off leaving that to a professional, I was wrong. The staff are nice and appear to be helpful. The woman who adjusted my glasses told me she'd be happy to help me but warned me that nothing could be done if she damaged the glasses. I thought nothing of it. I've been wearing glasses for 15 years and have never had an issue arise from an adjustment. She adjusted them, I tried them on and they felt fine. While I was looking through the lenses, I was having a difficult time seeing through one lens. I thought I was looking through a smudge so I thought nothing of it and decided to wait until I got home to clean them. After attempting to clean them and further inspection I realized the lens wasn't dirty. The lens was damaged, it looked as though she heated the lens. She looked over the glasses, she could have simply admitted she made a mistake and I wouldn't be so upset. There's no way to fix that, my glasses are now completely useless. I came in for an adjustment and all I got was a giant inconvenience. I have to pay to return my glasses and purchase a new pair. read more

This is the first time I've been here, and I must say, it was great! They gave every single option available so that I could make an intelligent decision about my purchase. I had various reps spend time going over the sale details and giving suggestions on which type of lenses, anti-glare levels, etc to consider. They even held my frames for me so I could come back once I cleared up an issue with insurance. That said, this store with its excellent staff and manager has been providing outstanding customer service to me for a while . They are VERY knowledgeable, patient, professional, efficient with excellent customer service skills for the full spectrum of ages and a demanding public. They make the store atmosphere very comfortable , welcoming, and focused on the customer from the minute you walk in. They give you time to browse and let you know they are there for advice and assistance when you are ready. Besides the fact that their location is ideal, for those of us who work with the public we know that besides the product it's the STAFF that makes a great store and business. This was my first experience with Visionworks, as my health insurance recently changed to a different provider for eye care, and I am grateful it did. The staff at this location couldn't possibly be more pleasant, professional, and concerned for their customers if they tried. I had a few "bumps in the road" in terms of getting the right lenses and the right fit, and they went out of their way to do everything possible to insure that both my glasses and my prescription sunglasses were absolutely perfect. While all this was going on, they couldn't have been more pleasant and helpful through the whole process. A special note of thanks to a gentleman named Matt, who I've nicknamed "Yoda" for his encyclopedic knowledge of all aspects of the entire process, for taking the point and insuring everything was spot on. He's intelligent, articulate, well read, and an absolute pleasure to talk with on many varied topics. The whole group were very helpful and a pleasure to work with. I've had entirely different experiences in the past when I've needed new eyewear, but now I have found THE place that I'll be planning to stay with for the foreseeable future. So I went in and bought a pair of glasses. Actually, it's buy one get one free. But in reality, your paying for that second pair! So after over $700.00 later, I need to get in touch because my glasses needed adjusting, and I just didn't like one of the pairs after I got them. After all, they have this great guarantee that if your not happy, they will do anything to make you happy! So I go in, I get a few adjustments, and LISA promises me that she is going to call me Saturday to see how I'm doing. Well, LISA, I waited for your call and it never came. So over the last 4 days, I've been calling non stop! No one answers the phone! It rings 11 times, then you have options of going online. I don't want to go online! I need to speak with someone who is familiar with me! I do not recommend vision works to anyone. Plus with this Covid crap, you can't just walk in! It's by appt only! I am so frustrated right now with this rip off company, I want my money back! I will go where I can get good customer service! This is the seekonk mass store! I was pleasantly surprised I had such a great experience here! I've always hated going to the eye doctor so I wanted to try somewhere new. I found that Visionworks let me book an appointment online for that week so I chose it out of convenience. I did not expect much but now I will continue going back here and definitely recommend to anyone I know. I am in my late 20s with poor vision and have always wanted to try contacts; it has been especially frustrating lately with many of my friends getting married and being self conscious about wearing glasses with formalwear or in pictures. My old eye dr always told me I couldn't use contacts since I always got too nervous and fainted in his office. I signed up for the contacts "class" and Shaunna was amazing! She was soo patient with me and very knowledgeable. She answered all of my questions and totally put me at ease. She sat with me and helped me learn how to put contacts in and take them out, and even did it on herself to help me learn. She also went above and beyond to make sure I got the best discount possible when I checked out. Dr Leffers has a very calm and quiet demeanor which really helped me feel comfortable as well. If you pay good money for glasses with the promise of excellent service, you'd expect that you could go back to the store and they'd make good on the promise. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN. A slight adjustment needed to be made. She made half the adjustment left me to wait 20 minutes for the other minute needed to make the rest of the adjustment. Kept calling me out in a way that indicated I was being impatient in front of others. SO RUDE! The final straw was after having waited almost a half hour, the women who started on my glasses finished up w/customer 1 then went to customer 2 and said it woukd still be a few minutes. I have been a customer for three years. Based on the Prices , I trusted them to deliver a quality product the first time, every time. My recent visit left me very disappointed in the quality and the customer service from some of the staff. The salesperson instructed me to wait for the manager to call me personally to discuss the refund I expected due to the satisfaction guarantee they offer. I haven't been called or contacted yet. I have my reasons for not wanting the glasses and I have spent a lot of money there in the past 2 previous visits. I will not return for services again !!
