I've been seeing Dr. Naveera Farooque for several years now, starting back when she was at the Willowbrook location. Since then, she's rotated between the Cypress and Tomball offices, which has worked out perfectly for me since I live between the two. What keeps me coming back is how thorough and attentive she is during every eye exam. She takes the time to explain everything in a clear and understandable way, making sure you know exactly what's going on with your eye health. One thing I really appreciate is how she always compares your current exam with your previous one, walking you through any changes or findings in detail. It's not easy to find a doctor you genuinely trust and feel comfortable with, so I feel lucky to have been able to stick with her all these years. I definitely and highly recommend her! I'm giving one less star due to my experience picking up my glasses. I never received any notification about when they were ready, so I had to call and ask. When someone answered, they said, "Can you give me 2 minutes? Let me check on that for you," but didn't even ask for my name. I was then put on hold for 10 minutes before they finally came back and then asked for my name. When I went in to pick them up, the person at the front asked for my name but then just sat there doing nothing. I was on my lunch break and a bit pressed for time, so it was frustrating to wait another 10 minutes while he just sat at his desk before finally getting up to retrieve my glasses. Very quick with glasses. Been with them for over 3 years and it took 6-8 days every-time for my glasses to arrive. They also have good prices on frames and are good with insurance. Could not recommend more! read more

If your vision insurance is VSP I highly recommend going to Visionworks. The gentleman are polite, listen to what your looking for and if you give them a price range plus type of frames you are looking for you won't be disappointed with what they help you get. I saved over $400 on lenses and frames using my VSP insurance and stayed within my budget! The only downside is the possibility of a two week timeframe for the turnaround on getting your new glasses but it's "possible" to get them in less time than that. We shall see... read more

After 10+ years of patronizing the Willowbrook location and receiving bad service at my last visit, I decided to give this company one more chance. I brought my prescription to the Tomball location to order one full pair of glasses and new lenses for my sunglasses. The guy who helped me entered the information but never showed the cost breakdown and exactly what he ordered so when the total after insurance was over $700 I questioned why. He ordered progressives for both lenses. I don't need progressive sunglasses so he suggested I order one pair with transition lenses. A few weeks later the glasses were ready. Something was wrong as soon as I tried them on. The field of vision was so narrow its like I was inside a fish bowl. Everything beyond the center of the lense was blurry. They said I would get used to them so after a few days with no improvement and the fact the glasses also did not darken in the sun as was ordered, I took them back & requested the glasses be corrected. A different guy tried to help me. Again, I was told to get used to them because.....they do not know what to do beyond data entry. Rather than waste more time with the confused staff I told them I would go back to my eye doctor and confirm if the prescription was correct. After confirming yes it's correct and was indeed a manufacturer issue because the field of vision shouldn't be so narrow, I went back to Visionworks to try one more time. Again I was told to get used to them because, drum roll, they don't know anything. At that point I decided to go somewhere else and received a refund. As I was leaving, the guy that originally ordered my glasses stated I would need to pay over $500 for glasses with a larger field of vision. NOT TRUE A few weeks later, after reading reviews and looking at options, ordered at Costco. One pair of glasses with progressive and transition was less than Visionworks before insurance! I paid less than $140 after insurance and got exactly what I needed to drive, read, work, and basically see everything without feeling like I'm looking through a fish bowl. Costco hours are also so much better than Visionworks banking hours and the staff are far more knowledgeable. read more

I haven't gotten my glasses back yet but I would return so far. That doctor was nice and knowledgeable, as well as the staff. Helpful with picking glasses and honestly can't beat the price. I got two pairs of glasses for the price I paid for one pair elsewhere. So unless for some reason my glasses come back with issues this will be my new go to place. read more

I will not give this place a single star. I have always bought my eye glasses here but this time when I walked in a woman told me I needed a mask. I told her I couldn't wear one and that my doctors said under no circumstance was I to put one on. She said I couldn't get glasses then. I said ok that I would go somewhere else then. After I got in the car I decided I needed to let Visionworks know. I went back in and asked her if I could please get her bake. She said I could get it outside. I assumed and said ok is it on the door. As I was heading back out she came up to me aggressively, put her hands on me and literally pushed me out the door. This girl, LaRonda, literally accosted me in this place of business. Not only will I NEVER order from Visionworks again but I recommend you don't either. Btw, I was not rude or angry until she did that, then I was just shocked. Just spent on hour on hold trying to talk to Visionworks HQ. No answer. read more

I was informed by another location that this location closed at 7pm. I arrived around 5:55 to find that the store actually closed at 6pm. The supervisor at the counter, Celece Guidry, did not greet or welcome me to the store. I walked up to the counter and said that I'd like to order glasses - I have my prescription and know which frames I'd like to order, no need to look around. She was so unbelievably rude to me that I initially thought that she must be joking. She proceeded to raise her voice at me and state that she would not place my order, I would have to come back another day. She said that it was already past 6:00, but I took out my phone to show her that in fact it was not yet 6:00. I do realize that there were only a few minutes before closing time, but her tone and attitude were beyond rude and disrespectful. I most certainly will not be filling my eyewear prescription at this location and will not shop here again. read more
