I get it. Quality contents costs money... meaning the days of "everything is free on the net" are coming to a resounding close. The problem is that while I frequent those sites for their entertainment value, I'm hard pressed to rationalize an extra $30 bucks a month for content that doesn't have the immediacy and credibility of those sources that I pay for willingly such as the NYT, WSJ and The Economist to name a few. It's probably fair to say that their paywall gambit counts on their advertising continuing to be placed by AdTech "bots" rather that human buyers who might consider more subjective reader engagement metrics such as overall quality of the environments and a more robust match with client objectives. Again, even though I enjoy their entertainment value, it's amazing what you can learn to live without. After a month, I barely remember that they exist. Five stars for amnesia.

I rate it four stars as local community newspapers as Queens Gazette is hard to local in small communities as Hollis Hills, Richmond Hill, or Ozone Park but residents need to flock to larger populated communities within Queens as Flushing, Forest Hills to obtain a copy of the Gazette. The Queens Gazette often announces events as the Saint Patrick's Day parade in Flushing and in The Rockaways. Queens, home to the 1964 and 1965 New York World's Fair, two airports, and Aqueduct Racetrack!

Home delivery has always been on point for four decades, with several delivery exceptions due to inclement dubious weather which prevent access.

We have a camera outside so we can confirm that the paper was not delivered inside our fence the days it was missing. Personally I think the driver just toss the paper out his window since I saw on the camera that on a few occasions the paper was kicked under our gate. When we call the paper a angry lady usually tell us that our gate is locked (we don't have a lock mechanism on the gate) and that's why he don't deliver the paper when the truth is that he just toss it out his window. I don't understand why the paper think they do us a huge favor deliver? They pay the delivery driver and we pay the paper so nothing is free and should not be treated as a favor.

USA today was good at giving info on what's going on across the country and international as well. I really enjoyed the sports section and it had all the major sports covered . As time went on and more access to news via other outlets especially the internet , online and smartphones , etc, the need for USA today went away gradually. A few days ago I was in a nostalgia mood and notice a bunch of USA today papers along with the other daily newspapers and grabbed one for the memories. Glad I did ,it reminded me of my daily morning routine when I worked in Brooklyn many years ago .
