Absolutely trash company, bought 25k of windows from Lowes, they hire these fools to install them. Spent two days installing them, walk off the job at the end of the second day. "All of your windows are broken, call Lowes."...... Excuse me?!....... Gone, in their truck and gone! Fast forward 7 months later, still have broken windows, Vista claims "they were broken from being rained on......" Pella says they were install wrong... pointing fingers at each other and Lowes can do nothing about any of it except for take my money and laugh their way to the bank.... read more

I purchased a front door, storm door and two sets of sliding doors from Lowe's Home Improvement. Vista Installations took care of the necessary removal and installation of these doors. Their team arrived as promised and got right to work. They were professional, knowledgeable and courteous. They diligently addressed each area with care and cleaned-up behind themselves as work progressed. When the final screen for the back porch sliding door was hung - they noticed a problem. The locking mechanism was missing from the interior of the screen. So, a call was placed and Lowe's needed to order a new inner-door latch piece. It was October and after a few failed attempts - Lowe's finally opted to replace the entire screen door and it works! This team stayed on the case and kept following up to make sure that things were moving forward. Yes, it's April but it was worth the wait and no fault should be placed on these fine folks. I may come back and update this later...but at this point I doubt it. First let me state that I am a big fan of Lowe's. When I began my search for a French door to replace the old existing sliding glass door I visited both big box home improvement stores and was more impressed with Lowe's attention to detail during the estimate/planning stage. It took a bit of time to nail down exactly what I wanted door-wise along with all the associated parts and pieces, but once that was settled the order process moved quickly. All throughout the process, I was assured that all materials would be shipped to my local Lowe's and the installer would pick things up prior to arriving at the house. Fast forward to the installation saga - Lowe's uses VISTA Installations out of Charlotte to do their on-site work. Once I confirmed that the door was built and had been delivered to my local Lowe's, I called VISTA to schedule the install. Had I NOT called them, I'm not sure if they would have ever called me. It took no less than 4 calls to get the ball rolling. We FINALLY got a date scheduled, and I made preparations for their arrival. The Friday morning they were supposed to arrive, I received a call from the home office saying their guy had called in sick and wouldn't be coming. That was fine, as I understand life happens and I was thankful that he didn't come anyway and possibly spread the illness. The VISTA person said they'd check with scheduling and see when the next available appointment was. I never heard anything back the rest of that Friday. I sent a text message on the thread where they had been keeping me apprised of the schedule - asking when the appointment would be re-set. Finally on Monday they offered a new appointment the following Friday. I accepted and Friday morning rolled around and I received a call from the installer. I reminded him that the door was still at my local Lowe's but a couple of trim pieces that were required had to be sourced from a different Lowe's across town. He informed me in no uncertain terms that he was "not paid to drive around and pick stuff up". Needless to say, that was NOT the correct response. I assured him that the trim pieces would be here for him when he arrived (I was going to go pick them up myself). In the meantime, I called the Lowe's Custom Order line and told them what had occurred. The Lowe's associate I got was EXTREMELY helpful...and he made multiple calls to VISTA as well as up the food chain at Lowe's. After over an hour on the phone with him, he advised that if I could go get the trim pieces, the installer would get the door and things could proceed. I immediately agreed and made my trip across town. At this point, they have arrived to do the installation and I'm NOT optimistic that this will go as planned, much less go WELL. Lowe's needs to sever this relationship pretty much immediately in my opinion. As I read these other reviews of VISTA here on this page, it's obvious that they are not customer friendly, not competent and most importantly - NOT professional. I will be registering my disappointment with Lowe's one last time once things are complete today. If I could, I'd give VISTA NEGATIVE stars...they don't deserve the 1 star this website forces me to give them. read more

I would leave a ZERO if I could because this place is a joke! Do your research on them before you buy anything at Lowe's as they are the ONLY installer for Lowe's in the area. The sales manager thinks he is too good to talk to anyone and refuses to return calls and acts like we are lucky to have them installing our purchases. They have nothing but bad reviews yet Lowe's CONTINUES to use them. We purchased a patio door and the day they showed up they said the door handle was missing. The installer said he was going back to the store to try to find it and we heard nothing else. The next day we called and were told they handle would have to be ordered and would take 3 weeks to come in. When the handle came in and the installer came back he mentioned that they found the handle when he went to the store, yet he never came back and never told us, thus we had to wait the three weeks for the new one to come in. During the installation he phone rang constantly and he was continually walking away to take these phone calls. Finally he told us that he could not finish and would come back the following afternoon to finish the job. Maybe if he stopped taking phones calls he could have finished, but we said fine. Next day, which was a Tuesday, when he never showed up we called Vista to find out what was going on. According to them they knew nothing of this and said the earliest he could come back is Saturday, which I found unacceptable. The office manager proclaimed we were lucky to get Saturday as they usually do not work on Saturday's. The attitude of everyone at Vista is UNBELIEVABLE! Saturday came and he finished installing the door. Once again he kept stopping to answer phone calls. After about 30 minutes of hearing no work being down I looked outside and he just left. Did not tell me he was finished, do not put back all the stuff he took down or moved, just left. Have never dealt with a company as unprofessional as them and warn everyone, IF YOU BUY A LOWE'S DOOR OR WINDOW IN THE CHARLOTTE AREA, THEY WILL INSTALL IT. I will not buy any doors or windows from Lowe's again because of this. If you research Vista you will see just how horrible they are. read more

Our installation was a disaster. They installed ripped screens. Left stickers and papers in storm windows that were inaccessible. Windows were installed unevenly with rough cut wood leaving a terrible appearance. The installer left a mess of wood and sawdust everywhere for us to clean up. There was sticky tape left on various windows. Just a nightmare. Neither Lowes or Vista will respond or come see the horrible results. The picture are just a few examples. The windows don't even close and lock properly. I can't tell you how frustrating. We've spent hours on the phone. They wait you out hoping you'll give up. Lowes after over a year is finally getting the screens replaced. We'll see how that goes. ... read more

The installation of my new sliding glass door went, well, the door was installed by VISTA. Looked so nice BUT HE LEFT without checking the lock on the door. DID NOT WORK. Constant confusion on getting someone to fix it; approximately 2 months?!?! Yes there was a time I couldn't keep an appt but was told over and over no one could come within TEN DAYS???? .......... The blinds were NOT PUT BACK SO LIVING IN A SMALL HOME, I spend ALL evenings in my room . Anyone can see inside my home. I PAID for installation and Lowe's guaranteed this meant 'putting everything back.' When someone did fix the lock; all of 10 min, he said he didn't know how to hang blinds. DO NOT BUY FROM LOWES IF YOU WANT SOMETHING INSTALLED. If installation is NOT VISTA read that company's reviews. Read ALL REVIEWS of Vista. A nightmare. The only way I'd improve review is if someone simply put the blinds back. I've asked three neighbors to help and two out of three couldn't. Vista needs to complete this job that WAS PAID FOR AND began on MAY 18th!!!! read more
