Great visit to Vista Landscape today. When I called, the woman that answered explained that they are a materials provider only and she was happy to refer me to a landscape designer. I declined, as I am working with a gardener already. When I arrived, I was warmly greeted by Tristen who, in my opinion, us a designer! He was very patient and spent 30 minutes with me helping me plan my river rock project with an eye to my budget and offering cool options with glass accents and suggesting some of the rock could be sealed in place to look wet...super cool ideas! Everything you said is correct. However, what you didn't mention is in order to get the second load delivered I called and was told it was type 2 and that it was correct. I then had to bring a bucket full back to your shop to prove there was no dirt in the mix and it was entirely gravel and was told I was correct. The second load that was brought to be delivered was also all gravel with no dirt for compaction after I had walked with the supervisor to the pile of type 2 to show that I need the dirt mix. The first load then sat on my driveway from Friday til Tuesday when it was finally picked up. I was supposed to be putting in pavers that weekend. I had to get type 2 from another supplier which was delivered the next day. (Called Monday, delivered Tuesday) took the day off work Saturday to work on the pavers which I wasn't able to do because the second load was substandard. The 1 star review was given prior to going to your shop to prove what I was talking about. I changed it to 2 stars because the money was refunded. read more

Was driving on the 95 northbound next to one of Vista's rock trucks and attempted to drive by the rock truck as to avoid being hit by any debris. As I got up next to the truck it hit a bump on the road and multiple rocks fell off the chassis, into their tire which subsequently flew into my windshield and cracked it. I followed the driver, Ryan, and advised him what happened. He said he was hauling soil and not rock, fair enough. I told him I watched 10-20 small rocks fall of the chassis, I'm sure from a previous delivery, hit his tire and fly into my windshield, he told me to call the office and talk to Eric. I called and after leaving 2 messages for Eric because he was "out of the office already", I called a third time where he answered. I told him the story to which I got,"Oh yeah, *insert name* told me about this." So Eric knew I had called and didn't care to call back. Eric then gave me the same story that since their truck was hauling soil, anything else that falls of the truck doesn't matter and it's not their problem. How about some accountability and overall character from a business? I guess that's not common anymore. I appreciate when I can go to a place like this and there is no upsell or salesy people around trying to fish you for another product. Very laidback atmosphere and they were attentive and helpful. We just needed 4 5 gallon buckets which was no problem for them. They loaned us a shovel and we brought our own buckets but if you have a truck and some tarp you should be good to go. They have a bunch of types of rocks and we were so happy to find some that matched the ones in our yard. We went everywhere to find some Lowe's, star nursery, Home Depot... nothing! We recently purchased 17 tons of landscape rock for our yard. We ordered the rock and within an hour it was dumped in front of our house. They never coordinate delivery with us prior to dropping the load. The driver never got out of the truck to ask where we might want it, and he simply dumped all 17 tons into the street in one massive pile. Past drivers have coordinated with us to drop the rock where we needed it and have made efforts to dump and slowly drive to spread the rock closer to the gutter. The police came by and told us we needed to get it moved since it was impeding traffic on nearly 75% of one lane in the neighborhood. The rock wasn't washed at all and none of the color really showed. It was obvious they didn't wash it at the plant. We have several areas where there's so much dirt in the rock that we're coming up with ideas on how to get rid of all the sand/dirt. Overall we're pretty disappointed given that we spent nearly $900. read more

They have a nice selection of landscape rock and flagstone. Friendly employees and quick service. I'm not sure if all of the rocks are as dirty as the load I got, but I wouldn't buy from here again if knew the rocks would be as coated in mud as mine were. I had to spend hours washing them before I could place them because my weed prevention won't let dirt through. Hours! So much dirt and mud! My other issue was how much 3/8 rock was mixed in with the 3/4 rock i wanted. I would say about 20-30% was 3/8, so I had to screen the smaller rock out. In summary it's a nice place with nice product, but I'd never buy rocks again. Flagstone yes. A couple picks of the dirt issue. I almost filled a wheelbarrow full of the clay/dirt. I had 7 tons of medium size river rock delivered last week and I called back today to order another 2 tons, I told the girl on the phone that the reason I originally ordered is because Vista sent me a 5% off coupon and I would like to apply the coupon to this order. She told me that this coupon doesn't apply to river rock, so I read her the fine print "maximum discount on arizona river rock 5%" so she put me on hold so she could speak to her manager and told me she was told by management that if I wanted to use the coupon I would need to physically bring it in. I live all the way in Summerlin (35 minute drive) and the coupon was sent to my house. No where on the coupon does it say to redeem in person (pictures attached for reference) even though they happily except orders by CC over the phone. Saving the 5% isn't the point, it's poor customer service and business practice, especially after I just spent over $700 with the company. I came here after I got tired of star nursery's headaches. I actually came here to put in a order with them BEFORE I went to star nursery to get a refund on a order of rocks I ordered from them and did not get delivered with no phone call or anything. I was waiting all day on the day they where to be delivered at home and nothing. When I came here to order it was easy, they have a sample of the rocks on the ground so we can see them I got the river rocks they are a bit more expensive then other rocks because they are rounded. Aka won't stab you in the feet when you walk on them. Lol.. it was only a little more then star nursery to have them delivered but they got delivered during the time frame they said and that's all that matters. I need to update my review on star nursery now, cause I wrote it BEFORE they where suppose to be delivered and ended up not getting delivered. It was literally a huge pain in my butt to try and work w star nursery. They where extremely unorganized. I'm just glad I finally got the rocks and stopped trying to get them from star because it turned out that the river rocks I ordered weren't even in stock at star even though when I paid for them, they called the rock yard and somehow they said they could have them delivered even when they weren't in stock. Cindi is the most unpleasant person in customer service I have ever dealt with. She made me feel like she doesn't want our business. I was asking her for her help and she was getting frustrated, mad, and yelling at me over the phone. I would like to think she was having a bad day but unfortunately this wasn't the first time she was so unpleasant over the phone. I have called her multiple times with big orders and she has always been very rude and unpleasant. She yelled at me over the phone asking why I don't have the correct name down and why is my pricing off? I had called her a month ago and she gave me those pricing that I put in our order. The Showroom is located at 951 Wigwam Pkwy Henderson, NV. That's just off of 215 and the Gibson exit. Its kinda hard to find if you're not paying attention. The showroom is really well setup and they have rocks and more rocks. flagstone, stones, gravel, soils and just about any landscape design info you could need. Way better than big box stores as they're locally owned and know the desert landscape and the best options. Plus you can go to their website and see lots of rock examples and measuring tech info. Also they have a sister company that is Nevada outdoor Living with BBQ island and equipment, higher end patio furniture, waterfalls, statues, fire pits and more. Prices seem high on the patio items and BBQ options but they mostly high end quality stuff that costs a little more. We got a deal on a small set and were happy. The rock options for the yard are still in the making but the prices are right and they deliver. Staff was friendly and very helpful. You will get a bunch of good ideas for your landscape dreams. We are just small people and get our front yard (HOA required) and side yard with sand bags of small rock. They are always nice when we get the rock and the price is reasonable. Recently, my son called in for a sand price. When we got to Vista he said "there is the sand at the end so let's pull up to it." I pulled up to it and he shoveled into our bags a lot of sand. The lady charged us and I said to her, "I thought it was $16.00 a ton." She said "yes, you got the wrong sand." It was our fault because we did not know this, but next time she just let us fill the same bags for nothing!!!! :) That was nice of her and I appreciate the great customer service. read more

I have been going to Vista for many years and have always had a great experience. Most recently I went to buy flagstone for my landscaper to create a pathway. I spoke to Michael inside about BBQs and other non-related stuff, and even though he wasn't going to be selling me anything from his department that day, he was very friendly and helpful. When I went outside to get the flagstone, Hunter greeted me with a spring in his step and huge smile (in spite of the 110+ degree heat). He helped me choose what color and type of stone to get, and he loaded it up, slab by slab never slowing down. I felt terrible because I knew how miserable I felt in the humid heat and I wasn't even doing the work. I will be going back for more materials, and look forward to seeing the guys again soon! read more

I ordered rock last week, to be delivered today, Sunday. I had hoped for Saturday but their schedule was full. I ordered 1.5 tons of Tuscan Rose 1/2 inch. The delivery window was between 10am and 1pm. They called me at 12:08pm today to tell me the salesperson "forgot" that they don't have any of the rock I ordered. She asked if I wanted to choose something else so I hurried down there to choose and they can't deliver until tomorrow. As though working adults are available on Monday afternoons to do landscape projects. They could have called me anytime between when I ordered it and when they were supposed to deliver it but instead they waited until it was too late to fix the problem. I will never use them again and warn anyone else to avoid this place. read more

She found a sample piece and went to pay for it, they just yelled a price and she stated, that it was supposed to be a certain price per pound. I am very happy with the customer service at Vista Landscape on Jan. 26, 2021 . I ordered 6 tons of 3/4 Tuscan Rose rocks and they are very efficient. Luckily I was flexible though, because I picked a delivery between 12:00 pm and 3:00 and they called at 9:00 am saying they were coming within the hour. It was not a big problem and the delivery person put them right where I wanted them. The reason I just gave 4 stars and not 5 is because I paid for 3/4 in. rock and a lot of smaller size rocks are mixed in. I feel that if I am paying a price for a certain size they should almost all be that size. Other than that they are very nice to deal with. read more

MOST HORRIBLE PLACE TO GO. AVOID!!!! My husband and I walked in and were told will be right with you. We waited a few minutes and neither of the 2 salesman approached us, however when this older gentleman walked in one of the salesman deviated and started helping him out on the spot. We waited again patiently FOR 40 minutes total due to we had drove across town. This is when we decided to walk out. At no point did they make an attempt to help us, they not once checked back on us or make any other type of eye contact. We are a young couple, but we're willing to pay for the stone. We were not shopping around we came to buy as this was the place recommended to us by our handyman. I have never been treated this way.
