If I could give zero stars, I would. As a new patient here I was appalled with how I was treated. My exam was fine but when it came to picking out my eye glasses everything went downhill. The woman had my insurance wrong and when I tried to tell her that I knew what my insurance benefit was and that it was not as good as she was saying she argued with me and told me she was right. After about 5 minutes of back and fourth and me asking her multiple time to check it again (because I didn't want to be billed more money later due to her mistake) she loudly sighed and checked it. And I was right. She didn't even apologize or acknowledge that she was wrong, just printed a new form out and told me exactly what I had told her my benefits were. Fast forward to me picking up my glasses, I try them on, get them fitted, and head home. I had contacts in but I've never had an issue with my prescription so I didn't even think to take them out to see. A few days later I went to put my glasses on and they didn't feel right. The prescription seemed off and my eyes felt weird, almost like when your glasses are cockeyed on your face and how it makes them feel uncomfortable. I made an appointment to go back and let me tell you, I have never felt so unheard as a patient and so disrespected. The doctor checked my prescription and the glasses and told me that I was wrong and that what I was saying didn't make any sense. She was extremely rude to me and we went back and fourth for a bit and I explained that I understood that it didn't make sense but that something definitely was not right. I asked if maybe my measurements could have been taken wrong at the glasses counter and she said maybe but that she was going to write me a new prescription, so she bumped my prescription up a little bit even though I said that I liked my current prescription. I went out to the glasses counter and asked the woman to measure me to make sure it was accurate and she told me that her measurement was correct and that there was no need. After some back and fourth and me having to start having an attitude she put the device on my face, lopsided, and pretended to check my eye measurements and said, yup, it's correct. I am so appalled. I went to pick my glasses back up after the "changes" and they still don't feel right. I've been wearing glasses for 12+ years so it's not like I don't know how my eyes should feel. I am so frustrated and mad for wasting my money at this place. I will be calling to see if I can receive a refund on my glasses and that will be the last time I ever contact this office again and I will make sure that everyone that I know in West Chester steers clear of this place. read more

What a disappointment: -waited 4.29 mins for someone to pick up the phone-sadly they never did, forced to leave a voicemail message. -verbally rude staff called back 15 mins late -was curtly asked when I needed eye exam, I said in next day or two -then asked what insurance I have (Davis thru BCBS PC) and then told we "only have two doctors that accept that type." Really, you have 6 docs & only 2 take it?! -identified myself as an RN & that I was in need of an exam quickly, asked about other locations/hours still to no avail, apparently 1 of the 2 docs was on vacation -offered to pay out of pocket-$150-for an EYE EXAM ONLY??? -let them know as a local RN, I was not satisfied with response/communication & that I would not ever refer patients-staff response indicated she couldn't care less. read more

My first experience here, I am currently waiting for my exam. All others are correct in that the service staff are incredibly rude. I'n my first 10 minutes here I witnessed a technician call a man back who was in a wheelchair, he headed back to his room and she asked him where his caretaker was which he clearly couldn't hear so instead of asking again she let out a huge sigh and looked up to the ceiling rolling her eyes and shaking her head. As I was signing in at the front desk the person assisting me interrupted my check in process to get up and trash talk about another employee with a Co-worker. When she was finished with her bitching she came back to finish my registration. We're off to a great start already. read more

I'm very torn on how to write this review. I wish there were half stars because everyone I had to deal with when I went in for my eye exam and purchase of my new glasses were friendly and professional. My main issue is that weeks after I went in, I could not get a reply to voicemail or emails I sent asking if my glasses were in. Zero communication at all. A few weeks after my appointment, I stopped in on a whim and they had my glasses. Nothing on my voicemail. No emails. No communication. Considering how expensive these glasses were (marked up a LOT over retail), having to hunt them down to get something I paid for doesn't work for me. I just felt like nobody gave a crap after the credit card was swiped. Frustrating. A pity because everyone WAS nice to me but I'll look elsewhere for my next pair. read more

Even tho the other reviews are older they are still correct. I've been going to the Paoli location for the past few years but just recently had a baby and can't seem to get an appt that works on MY (and baby's) schedule. The Paoli location office hours are just wacky (Tues & Frid only) I went to the WC location today for an appt and when I got there I was told by the bitchy receptionist, "your appt was yesterday." I didn't get a reminder call/text/etc whatsoever after I had scheduled this appt on Friday. My dentist does a better job than this place. I asked if there was any way I could be squeezed in since my baby was w her grandmother, "nope everything's booked here and Paoli until next week,"she said rudely. Seriously?!?!? It's an eye doctor! I now have to be inconvenienced again only in another week. Hope they don't mind me bringing my baby and if she cries oh well. And yes not to mention the cost of visits are high too. Find somewhere else if you have the option. I know I'll be looking elsewhere soon. Update: as of 3/23: the manager called me back the next day (today) to rectify the situation and even offered me an appt that had been a cancellation. I was able to get in around the same time and as needed when I originally scheduled. She even stopped to speak to me after my appt to make sure we talked it out and cleared the air. Despite the confusion/miscommunication, it was nice that she took the time to make sure we were taken care of. And on a separate note: they're mailing me my contacts directly instead of having to go pick them up. Yay!! read more

It is NEVER easy dealing with them. Went last year to get new contacts. I was unable to make a follow up exam because I was in college and only home for a week. The doctor made a huge deal out of it, scolding me for my "poor planning". I not only never received a phone call as to when my contacts came in, but every time I tried to call I never reached a receptionist and left a mesage only to never have my call returned. When they called months later, they actually yelled at my mother because the contacts were sitting there for so long. Really? This year, I went in for more contacts. As always I was treated very rudely by the receptionists. No matter which receptionist, no matter when I went, I had a negative experience. I asked to pick up my contacts in the Paoli office. When they called, I was told that I had to call in to schedule an appointment just to pick up my contacts. I called multiple times, left multiple messages, with no answer. I finally reached them, and they said that they "might be open tomorrow". REALLY? I will never, ever return to Vistarr and will suggest that others do not either. These are only my last two experiences, however I have never had a positive experience with them. read more

With all the review rating, I guess they don't care anymore. I went to the Paoli office with the worst experience ever. With the Davis Vision insurance and spent additional more than two hundred dollar, I got a pair of glasses with an inaccurate prescription and possible misalignment (the doctor told me). I went back to the office. They said that they can't do anything! When I got the glasses, I told them right away that I couldn't see far away as clear as my old glasses. They told me it might take a while for my eye to adjust. I believe in them. However, after a couple of months, I still have a problem to see traffic signs when I drive. Now, I guess my eyes have to adjust to the bad glasses! What a joke! read more

RIPPED OFF!!!!!! My family have been loyal customers for many many years. Every year Paid $20 for exam and insurance paid $20. This year the insisted we pay $150 for simple eye exam. For 10 years they sent insurance an inflated bill of $150 but settled with them for $20 along with our $20 copay. This year when insurance did not pay they insisted we pay $150 for a 20 minute eye exam. The lost a loyal customer. read more

First of all I did read the reviews AFTER I had an appointment at Vistarr. I'm not sure if any of the people that wrote these reviews are competent in their own lives... I woke up with an eye infection and when I called this office they were able to give me an appointment that morning. I was told there may be a little wait but frankly that was ok with me. When I arrived the staff processed me quickly and Dr Bigler was very kind and actually spent time with me!! He made sure I left understanding how to take care of my infection gave me a prescription and had me come back for follow up. I would definitely recommend Vistarr... I'm actually going back for my Eye Exam.... So glad I found this place. For those other reviews, you people must be perfect.....too bad I can't review you... read more

Read all the one-star reviews before you waste your time and money at this poor excuse for a medical establishment. The people behind the desk are miserable, incompetent and rude. Took me 4 weeks to get my contacts from Paoli. They were consistently closed when the web site said they would be open, they overcharged me for the contacts, and were entirely unapologetic and unconcerned that their incompetence caused ME, the over-paying customer, an ENORMOUS hassle. This attitude is dangerous in a medical facility. I would NEVER AGAIN trust them with my eyes. You've been warned! read more

I attempted to schedule eye exams with this facility but never got past the receptionist, Nicole, as she chose to hang up on me. She claimed I was rude, but I had no opportunity to speak because she spoke over me each time I tried. I was attempting to explain our coverage to her, but she refused to listen. I have been in the insurance industry for over 30 years so I understand coverages. I would never recommend any organization that has such an unprofessional individual answering the telephone. This place sucks. I have been going here my whole life, and I think it's time to find somewhere else. I've had glasses from the ripe young age of 3, and even then they have been messing up my prescriptions. I am now 22, and they have given me the wrong contact prescription at least three times, and chastised me for opening the box the first time it happened (like I knew they were gonna be wrong!). Today I came in to see my usual person, Dr. Young. Well, as it turns out, the receptionist had made the appointment on a day when she does not come in!!! Office staff seem too busy to bother with anyone. When I called for an appointment for my child I was on hold for several minutes. Person that finally picked up seem to have a "why are you bothering me" attitude. We also ordered glasses though them and the person that helped with that was a little bit nasty. I told her what my insurance covered for glasses she said that I had no idea what I was talking about and that I was wrong. She went on to say with great arrogance that she is the professional and she was correct. Turns out I was exactly right about what my insurance covered. Make sure you get a copy of your script. Its very difficult to get it after you leave the office. The office couldn't find my childs for several days. The one they gave us initially was old and inaccurate. One positive, we saw Dr Young, and she was very professional and pleasant. read more
