I never ever write reviews but I had to get on here and write something about Vistoso. I have been going to Sheila/ Vistoso med spa for almost a year and I have had nothing short of a good experience. I first purchased a package for laser hair removal in September 2015 to remove some hair on my face- the price is literally too good to be true. After meeting Sheila and having her do a few sessions on my face I decided to buy 2 more packaged for my Brazilian and full legs- there is no way I would have done this with someone who I did not feel comfortable with. Sheila is so inviting and nice- she genuinely speaks to you throughout the whole treatment. She never tries to upsell or push products on you like some places I have been to in the past. If you don't need it she will be honest and tell you. The outcome of my treatments have been excellent- almost all the hair is gone or verrrry fine and I still have several treatments to go. The spa is moving locations from Woodbridge to Hamilton and I really don't mind making the commute because like I mentioned before I don't think I'll find another person that will make me feel this comfortable. I am a really shy person and defiantly wouldn't feel comfortable with just anyone doing my Brazilian. I also referred my brother in law who is getting hair removal on his back and he too loves his results. I am planning to do microdermabrasion once my sessions for my face are up- another example of why she is so honest- she could have just took my money and done microdermabrasion right now too but she didn't- she told me to wait and do it after for best results. Bought 8 Brazilian laser sessions on Groupon , and it was a complete waste of money. Not sure if it was because I purchased on Groupon or not but it simply did not work one bit. Pros: 1. The owner is very nice, friendly and extremely knowledgeable Cons: 1. Its literally impossible to Book an appointment (unless you have no obligations, don't work or have no life.) She will not see you after 5 or from Friday -sunday 2. Seems like a robbery since my sessions lasted on average 4 minutes...for a full Brazilian laser . No attention to detail ,she just hovers the machine BARELY .When I go to other places they make sure to get each hair follicle 3. DID NOT WORK , not even the slightest improvements after more than a year of treatments. My hair is literally just as full and thick in the area I got the laser treatments and I followed all necessary instructions. This is after over a year of treatments on a 6 week basis . They do not deserve one star however, it is the poorest rating option available to me. Extremely rude and unprofessional establishment. I had purchased a Groupon voucher for hair removal and opted to request a refund from them following some skin irritation I was experiencing leading to my first appointment. Admittedly I missed my schedule appointment with them which they list as possibly encurring a $50.00 fee. I shall simply post the email exchange below in lieu of summarizing our communications myself. Bad service, will change appointment dates/times multiple times on day of service. Then if you can't make it you are blamed. Also don't bother buying via groupon as it won't be honoured and will be rejected and or cancelled. Save your time and money and just look into using a professional. read more

Echoing the comments re: booking with a Groupon. When you call, they insist you need to email to book an appointment - impossible to accomplish. Also states that the Groupon voucher outlines that you MUST do this via email - it does not, it states that you can call. Owner was beyond RUDE, and I still have not heard back re: email timeslots - so I emailed Groupon to cancel and get a refund. What a waste of bloody time. read more

Most unpleasant experience I have ever had with any spa. I bought a Groupon for 1 year unlimited treatment in this spa. Originally I booked my appointment in advance for 5:30 pm, a week later I received a notification that my appointment was shifted to 5 pm. Apparently 5 pm is the latest appointment I could get in with Groupon, no weekends. I left work and was on my way to the appointment, but I was running late due to traffic. At the first closest intersection I pulled over, and called the clinic at 5:08pm to notify them that I am 10 min away. The lady advised that it is too late and I will be charged a cancellation fee of $50.00 . I apologized to events out of my control and asked to come anyway. She declined. After that I was told I could be placed on a cancellation list. Then I called back 3 days later to see if I could book an appointment as my voucher has an expiry date. I was refused again. I feel that even though my actions have shown best intentions I am being held responsible for things out of my control and services promised are being withheld. I feel this booking process has not been customer friendly. According to the Vistoso Medical spa website, they are opened until 7 pm during the week. Be careful when you bye discounted service to this spa. The whole purpose of Groupon to bring more customers, but in the end they don't want to treat you equal with regular customers. read more

When I first came to the spa, I was treated with kindness and welcomed and the esthetician made me feel comfortable. Obviously due to the pandemic and increased cases, I cancelled two laser appointments as I was feeling sick and on edge. When I informed the spa the first time she understood and moved my appointment but the second time I woke up with headaches And extreme fatigue so I decided to cancel the appointment and obviously waking up to that feeling didn't give me the opportunity to give a 48 hr notice (as I woke up the same day of the appointment feeling off). So I decided to call and she spassed at me on the phone and told me to rebook later. When I emailed to rebook she informed me that she was going to cancel my voucher with the remaining 4 sessions I had. Wow... didn't know being sick and actually not coming to the spa to prevent spreading anything would lead to that. I understand that her policy is a 48hr notice but life happens and things occur unexpectedly! She was very disrespectful and didn't not even care for the fact that her client was sick, all she wanted was business. So I decided to just cancel my voucher and not go because I wouldn't wanna be dealt with such disrespect. I bought a groupon for microdemabrasion for this spa. I called a month and a half before expiration date to book an appointment. I was scolded as to why I was leaving it to the last minute. The woman ( I assume it was the owner) told me that everything was booked for a month and a half. When I looked up the groupon rules, I could still book in the future , as long as I booked before the expiration date. The lady there was so obnoxious to me. In all my years, I have never been treated so badly. I do not understand how someone could run a business with such an attitude. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone. read more

I purchased a groupon for a medical grade microdermabrasion with peel a couple of months back. Unfortunately after purchasing the voucher I got ill, and was unable to book an appointment right away. It took me several months to actually get better and once I was ready I thought I would book an appointment to make myself feel better. I called the spa to book an appointment and the extremely rude lady on the phone (who claims to be the manager) wouldn't book it for me. The voucher doesn't expire until August 14/17 so I don't understand why she was behaving that way. She kept saying "read the instructions on the voucher". I also requested an extension for the voucher considering my circumstances - the woman said I would have to go to Groupon as they're the ones who would make that decision. Okay fine, it's not in their hands. Anyway after some back and forth, the woman refused to answer any more questions so I requested to speak to the owner as I was still unclear on what I should do. Afterall I purchased this voucher so I have every right to book an appointment, especially if it hasn't expired yet. She decides the best way to handle the situation is by hanging the phone up on me. I tried calling back and she refused to pick up the phone. Who does that? Who treats their customers this way? I understand that with some vouchers there are certain rules that you need to abide by but I've purchased enough of these Groupon type of vouchers to know that these rules are not carved in stone. Most establishments can still be very flexible, and show some understanding and compassion. It's that kind of service that brings customers back. In any case, I got in touch with Groupon customer service right away and explained the awful experience trying to book an appointment and fortunately they were very understanding and issued a full refund. I'm so happy that this spa will not getting any of my money. Please stay away from this business, they have no clue on how to speak to customers and should not be in a business where they are servicing clients. Customers go to a spa to feel good about themselves, not to feel like crap. It's very evident that all they care about is taking your money. As for the manager I spoke to, you need to get some manners and a hard lesson on good customer service. You don't speak to customers that way, and you certainly don't hang up on them. I don't know where or who you think you are that you can act that way - you need a serious attitude adjustment. To the owner, I would have a stern talk with the manager about her behaviour. If she's the one running your establishment then remember she's the one who is going to leave a lasting impression on people, and if it's a negative one people will spread the word. I wanted to write a review about my experience with Vistoso. Truly awful experience. BIGGEST REGRET. DO NOT GO HERE. I wanted laser hair removal and figured i would give this place a try. Bought a groupon. First of all, the initial issue with this place is that they redeem the voucher BEFORE you even go in. Money gone before you even step in the door. Made an appointment and cancelled more than 24 hours in advance, just to be told that I would have to pay a $50 cancellation fee since it was not more than 48 hours in advance notice. I told the owner i was unaware of the policy, and she told me rudely that it is at the bottom of the emails .. emails she JUST told me were not coming through to me and were being bounced back (further confirming that i did not know of the policy). so total wasted thus far, $230. THEN i proceeded to explain over the phone that i have a highly variable schedule that varies week to week, and to please make an accommodation and send me notice more than 48 hours in advance so that i do not acquire another charge as I cannot afford it. I was politely (or fakely?) told yes. I was given a rescheduled appointment A MONTH AWAY!! Wasting more time from the promised "unlimited for one year" which started a month before when she actually redeemed it during the initial call!! I gave them a call since I knew I had an appointment in August and wanted to confirm the date. I call in the morning and left a voicemail. I did not receive a response until 11:30 pm at night, notifying me it was less than 48 hours away. AGAIN, i could not make that date. Acquiring another charge. Totalling $280 for services NOT PROVIDED. When i emailed pleading for a refund of the initial $180 as clearly it is not working out since I have asked repeatedly to be notified and not charged (and i was repeatedly charged and unaccomodated) she responded by telling me she "does not like the tone of my email" and that i would be given absolutely no refund. This was followed by emails in which personally insulted me by telling me that a university student should have learned some courtesy. I have all the emails to prove it too. I was THEN told that legal action could be taken against me for writing bad reviews. Threats to not get the truth out!!! If you dont like bad reviews, perhaps refund the people you do not even provide service to? It is sad to think they cannot refund a simple $180 to a student. RUDE, UNCOUTH, and quite irritating. Complete waste of time and money on a business that clearly has no customer service skills. Nearly $300 and A WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY!!! My verdict is UNPROFESSIONAL and rude. I called Groupon and THANKFULLY they refunded my money. They were extremely polite on the phone and apologized for the regrettable experience. Great place!! Bought a Groupon for laser hair removal...was very hesitant since you need to watch out for certain places, BUT so glad I did it! The owner Sheila is amazing, makes you feel really comfortable and she's also very knowledgeable! The actual procedure was great as well since they use the Soprano pain free machine. Avoid this business at all costs! the clinic manager, Sheila, is extremely rude and unaccommodating. I purchased a Groupon deal for 4 microdermabrasions and she was not able to accommodate any dates within a 2 month timeframe. She talked down to me and ultimately told me if I don't like it, go get a refund from Groupon. Since this was a "local" deal, groupon does not give credit/refunds, so I spent $200 for nothing!
