Over the years I have visited a few acne clinics and this is the one that has stood by me over the years. I recommend you check them out if you suffer from acne. If they advise you to stop using moisturizer and your skin doesn't start producing oil in a 6+ months, definitely return to see how they can help you. Can't wear makeup and it looks like I got in a bar fight. It made me cancel my evening plans. He promises it will heal in 10 days, so I will update then. Right now - I'm really upset. If my undereye is messed up forever because of a poorly executed $25 extraction, I'm going to sue him. Either way, I think a doctor should ask before he cuts out a piece of your face! Especially when it's a cosmetic clinic so obviously I'm there to look better not a hell of a lot worse!

As someone who has had quite extensive experience with dermatologists over the years, I can say , like many others who have been in similar situations and know that , sadly, it is not uncommon to encounter professionals in this field who can come across as snobbish, arrogant, rushed, or lacking in empathy (why that is remains anyone's guess). At this clinic, every single person we interacted with was immensely kind, professional, and clearly experienced and the level of compassion and respect shown to my father, and us as his family, throughout his care was truly extraordinary. The surgeon is outstanding, the nurses are gentle and empathetic, and even the front desk team went out of their way to make us feel welcome and at ease. One of the most impressive aspects of the clinic is that they perform biopsies in-house! While my father was undergoing surgery, they were simultaneously running the biopsies and we received the results right away! As anyone can imagine, that kind of immediate feedback made the stress of skin cancer treatment significantly more manageable and far, and I mean far, less overwhelming! The clinic itself is beautiful and immaculately clean, bright, and thoughtfully designed. It feels more like a modern wellness retreat than a medical facility, which makes a huge difference during such an emotionally charged time. We are beyond grateful for the consistent care and follow-ups (you can also take pictures of your healing process and/or if you have any concerns and attach them in your email and they respond right away!). They insisted on providing follow-ups and regularly check in on my father's progress and throughout his cancer journey, we have never once felt alone. Usually, as everyone might be fully aware of, you have to chase your specialist team for everything, but at Carlton Skin Clinic, it is THEY who INSIST you are provided thorough follow-ups! Furthermore, my father is a mentally resilient man and has always projected this strong, calm, and composed demeanour . But after he was diagnosed with basal cell carcinoma, we, as his family, saw him anxious and afraid for the first time in his life. And that was sad and quite devastating to witness and it made us all even more anxious about the whole situation. That is why the care he received at Carlton Skin Clinic meant so much to all of us. Not only did they successfully treat his condition, they treated him as a whole person, with dignity, empathy, and genuine concern. My first impression was a positive one. Right away, I was greeted by a friendly staff member who made pleasant small talk with me while confirming my appointment details. I arrived a few minutes early, so I got a chance to soak in the atmosphere of the bright, spacious lobby. It didn't take long before I felt completely at ease. My visit with Dr. Kellett was a long and thorough one. From the way she answered my questions, I can tell that she was a true professional who was very knowledgeable in her area of expertise. We had a detailed discussion about my condition, and she recommended several treatments while explaining the pros and cons of each option. Throughout our meeting, she remained kind, patient, and very sensitive to my feelings. Since then, I have been visiting DLK on Avenue for over a year and my impression remains largely the same. This is a fantastic place for quality services in skincare treatment and I highly recommend it!

Got acne? Cuz…read moresadly, I do. Like, deep stubborn buggers that swell and hurt for days on end before naturally resolving. And after years of suffering through this hell on Earth, I finally found the solution. Kenalog injections. It's a steroid medication so it sounds scary, but it's a miracle when it comes to problematic acne. They inject the site with a teeny needle (very mildly uncomfortable) and bam, it stops the development in its tracks. By the next day, you're good to go. Over the years I've had more of these than I care to admit...with absolutely no long-term effects on my skin. When I feel one coming in I usually just walk into Bellair at Yonge and Eglinton without an appointment, and I'm typically served within minutes. The whole process itself takes minutes. But of course, you could also call ahead. As for this facility...it's beautiful, modern, fresh and clean, and the staff are lovely.

However, I was given a skin lighting cream to use in conjunction with my treatments and was not told that I needed to stop three days prior to my appointment. I ended up going to my appointment but was told that I needed to move the appointment to a different day since I had just used a lightening skin cream that morning. I was told to email the director to reinstate my appointment. In January he emailed me back and reinstated my appointment. I then went to the appointment he reinstated. Please find attached screenshots for reference of our communication. That happened in January and fast forward we are now in April. As time passed I really wasn't satisfied with the service provided so I decided to leave a review a week ago. After my review the owner unprofessionally revoked my last treatment session coming up in May. This was a complete separate appointment with a different laser which I paid for separately from the one he reinstated. I have already paid in full and he has not provided me a refund. He decided to cancel my last upcoming appointment out of spite due to my bad review and is trying to link it to the missed appointment that he already reinstated in January (almost 5 months ago). I truly wish I had read reviews before booking at this establishment. My background as a nurse gives me a different perspective. Some staff members seemed underqualified, contributing to an uncomfortable environment from the beginning. During my second laser session, the nurse appeared unsure of how to use the laser and needed assistance. The procedure was incredibly painful, resulting in scarring. Despite assurances that this was normal, the pain was intense, and six treatments have not improved the scars. I need to mention that a-lot of 5 star reviews are misleading because the owner often reinstates appointments in exchange for reviews. While I understand that not every client will have a negative experience, it's crucial to take the poor reviews seriously. Sometimes the issues can be remedied by how it is handled. However, the way the owner handles issues at this company demonstrates a lack of professionalism and extreme immaturity. In response to any criticism, he decides to just cancel your appointments unethically.
