First off, the artists are amazing, but there were some issues on the day of our wedding that were…read morenot rectified. We waited to see if they would reach out and they never did. Per our discussions and our contract, we agreed that we would have our names and date on the back of the illustrations. This was really important to us so our guests could proudly display their photos without having our names on display as but they would have it for reference on the back. On the day of the wedding, after the ceremony, we noticed that our names and dates were on the front of the pictures. We spoke to them and they said there wasn't much they could do except they had blank ones they could use for the rest and could redo some of them. We were running around and couldn't spend much time trying to figure out a solution. Due to this, they couldn't complete photos for all of the guests. We ordered a contract to cover 200 guests even though we only had 160 guests to ensure full coverage and both of our parents and grandparents didn't even get a photo. Overall it was a disappointing day of service and coordination on our special day. We go to our friends' and family's places and are still sad that they either didn't have this experience and didn't get a photo, or have the ones with our names on the front and so they aren't displayed. Others have cut off the bottom portion with our names for display.

Eddie and Alex were right on time, at both locations before the wedding (for the bride getting ready, and groom getting ready). And that's not easy as he drove from LA to San Diego for our wedding. As soon as they arrived, they got right to work. They took control when it was needed, angled us for the best shots and caught so many wonderful memories! We were fortunate to get married on the beach and the sunset photos Eddie and Alex captured are absolutely breathtaking! We also hired them for the photo booth and their photo booth is not your typical one - it is a full on studio style setup with Alex taking the photos! Great shots and memories were made! When we were searching for a wedding photographer, one of our non-negotiables was to receive every photo taken, even if it was an accidental shot of the grass. We wanted everything. Most photographers we spoke to would not agree to this. But Eddie was open to it and worked with us on it and ended up giving us ~3600 photos (40GB)! Yes, 40GB! :) That doesn't include the photo booth photos (which were another ~175). His honesty, hard work and incredibly friendly personality won us over! We can't say enough about Eddie and his team. Thank you very much for giving us years of memories to look back on. We recommend South Bay Studio to any and everyone from San Diego to LA!

My husband and I got the service for a party for about 100 people for 3 hours and it was definitely one of the highlights of the party. Richard, the owner, had the booth set up and ready to go right on time and was on hand to explain to people how the photo booth machine worked. His set up was such that it was very easy for people to learn how to work the machine right away, and you had the option of prints or boomerang videos (all with a variety of filters) that you could email or text to yourself--very cool. Even though it eventually became "self-serve," Richard was nearby to tidy up prints by the printer and help people with any questions. We were allowed unlimited prints, props were provided, and also got digital downloads of ALL the pics, which was awesome. I also got to use my own template design for the prints, but he can help you with custom templates if graphic design isn't your forté. His prices were very competitive and I highly recommend this service, especially if you're in the Long Beach area.
