That was until I was injured and my doctor sent me to Soulstice. I never realized that massage could help with the healing process until I saw Kent and Ann. They both specialize in massage for people who have had surgery or injuries. I went to Soulstice in the hopes of avoiding surgery to remove a calcium deposit in a tendon. The calcium has partially absorbed, so I don't need to have surgery. I believe this is because of the massage therapy. Kent was able to find some trigger points that my doctor and 2 physical therapists never noticed before him. The massage therapists asked important questions to give me the massage I needed. They also took the time to get to know me. If you like to chat during your massage you might get to know them too. I always felt well cared for. I never felt insecure or uncomfortable. I was able to completely relax. The office is decorated very nicely. The rooms are clean, but don't feel sterile. They provide water and hot tea or coffee while you wait. The staff is very professional and friendly. They compliment me about something every time I go, which makes me feel appreciated. I've had some bad and so-so massages from inexperienced and careless therapists. After visiting Soulstice I can't imagine ever going anywhere else. I highly recommend if you need a massage, for relaxation or for wellness, this is the place to go. It's well worth the money.

I highly recommend him if you're seeking a massage therapist in the Arvada/Golden area. Matt was thorough in analyzing not only my current health status, but also paid close attention to my overall health and activity history. He used this information to plan my treatment, and even advised that we break up my 90-minute session into two 45 minute sessions so that we can begin to properly address some if my issues. He also recommended (and later emailed references for) some great local yoga studios when I indicated I was in the market. This attention to detail and focus on patient well being is what separates the good from the great. The massage itself was firm and therapeutic. I prefer deep tissue-style massages and Matt definitely delivered. It was precisely what needed, and I've noticed immediate improvements in my comfort and range of motion. Do not go here! 1st appointment: I went about a month ago. The appointment was booked on their website at a time that was listed as available. The business decided to reschedule the time [on the same day], and not tell me. I was irritated but didn't complain and showed up at the new time they assigned to me. Fortunately, the massage therapist I got, Alex, was excellent! During the massage, I told him that the time was changed on me without notification. He apologized on behalf of the business and told me that unfortunately, it has happened to other clients before, but it is out of his control. Alex helped my chronic leg pain a lot, so I decided to reschedule. 2nd appointment: I was scheduled to see Alex tomorrow for another session. A notification was sent via text to me today to confirm the appointment. I confirmed. AFTER confirming it said that a different person, Richard Perez, would be treating me. I scheduled with Alex, not Richard. This is not OK. I RE-scheduled with Alex for a reason. I left a message with the business, but didn't expect to hear back in time about it, so, I contacted Alex, whose number I have because I asked him for some doctor/health info after my last visit. I asked him, 'what is going on?' Alex informed me that upon putting in his 2 week notice, he was immediately fired. This is beyond NOT OK. I will never support a business who treats employees like that. Amazing update as I type this!!!! Richard Perez [owner/therapist] just called me as I'm typing this and apologized for switching the therapist on me. Ok, thanks for the apology, but... When I told him I'm not ok with how he runs his business, he started talking over me and defending all of his actions. He said its not his fault he changed the time on me. [Who's fault is it when you own the business?] He had no response to that. I told him what Alex said about being fired after putting in his 2 weeks. Richard defended that too by saying, "we didn't need him and his 2 weeks was a courtesy to me. He didn't have to do that." So you fire him? That's not how that works RICHARD!!! Richard then proceeded to accuse Alex of 'stealing' his former clients. Excuse me Richard, but I went to your office 1 time and saw Alex. Therefore I rescheduled with Alex, not you. This does not qualify as stealing clients. And in no way did Alex EVER say anything bad about you. In fact, he actually said good things about you and said that you [Richard] are a good massage therapist who is currently attending chiro school. People who 'steal' clients do not promote their former boss. And FYI Richard, I have yet to reschedule with Alex. I don't even know if/when I will go see him again now. He's not my 'buddy'. I met him for the first time at your office and he helped me with some serious issues I have, so I wanted to see him again. Alex is simply your former employee who is a nice/responsible/professional person [3 things you aren't] who doesn't want to work for a Richard like you. I don't blame him. Don't blame your former employees for your own personal flaws. Back to the phone convo: Richard was argumentative and wouldn't listen to me. He continued talking over me and accusing me [and Alex] of odd things. I had enough and I stopped him by saying he's running a "s****y business" and doesn't deserve any clients the way he treated me or his former employee. Went in yesterday for a weird pain in my elbow. Received a…read morecomprehensive assessment and was asked to come back midday today for a 30 minute session on the elbow. Threw my back out BAD last night. Came in today for my elbow and warned Steve about the back. He spent 30 minutes on the elbow and did another evaluation for the new back issue. While he was evaluating my back, he was very gently assessing pain areas and my back/hip slipped right back where it is supposed to be. Wow. What a difference. Thanks Steve! PS, the music was great!

Tre asks you what your massage goals are and while I always seek relaxation, I have a stubborn SI joint that flares every so often. Yes, I should be stretching more, but Tre manages to work out my SI joint while also stretching me to work it out. He also seems to find knots that I didn't know existed and works them out to make me feel better. Like with all my massages with Tre, I start on my stomach and Tre puts a towel on my back and then adds a hot, moist towel to loosen my back. Tre leaves the towel on my back while working my legs so that by the time he works my back, my back is not as tight. His new location is really nice and welcoming. There are 2 large suites where other professionals in the industry work with a nice waiting area. The room I had was spacious and calming. Tre also puts a warming pad on the table so that you're not cold during your massage. I highly recommend Tre as he really pays attention to what you need and want and ensures that he meets your goals.
