Unfortunately, both my sister and I work long hours and could only pick her up on the weekends. Finally, I got firm with her and told her that in order to prevent loneliness and boredom she needed to give a day care a try. THE BEST THING WE DID WAS FIND CORAL WEST ADULT DAY CARE. My mom has never been happier. She looks forward to it every single day. She is very proud of her arts & crafts, her dancing, her interaction with the other wonderful members. My sister and I are thrilled. I only wish we would've joined Coral West Adult Day Care years ago. Thank you Katia and Jason for making my mom's golden years so very special. You have created a true family environment for everyone. I would also like to thank you for having such a caring staff.

The owners and staff there really enjoy what they do and you can see that as soon you walk in the facility, there are cameras everywhere the facility is extremely clean and everyone that attends the day care have a smile on there face. There is a table for English speaking people as well as Spanish speaking people so everyone has someone to socialize with. I can't say enough about Kathy and Jason they really care about the elderly population they are great people.

Community Centers are the heart of their community. They offer classes, exercise, can be rented out…read morefor events, and they can even give a helping hand through their many programs staffed by city employees. A good community center offers varied opportunities for its residents of all ages. A shining example of a great community center is the Pinecrest Community Center across from Pine Crest Library. I was able to check out the Pinecrest Community center during the Pinecrest Farmers Market. Overflow parking for the market is behind the community center and library. The Pinecrest Community Center offers many free and low cost programs for all residents. These include personal enrichment programs, social activities, creative activities, active recreation, STEAM, arts, health, camps, and fitness programs. The community center gym is a popular destination for fitness enthusiasts. There is cardio and strength training equipment, stretch zone, locker rooms with showers, and personal trainers and fitness classes. The community center also has an indoor play zone for children and families and spaces that can be rented for private events. Outside the center is a shade covered playground and paved walkways for exercise. There is also a cafe called Elia Pinecrest that anyone can visit for dine in and take out. You can register for classes and upcoming events online and follow the community center on social media for event news. There are volunteer opportunities too. If you want to be active, make friends, and learn new things, the Pinecrest Community Center has just the right program for all ages. It kind of makes me wish I lived in Pinecrest.

You can actually see the peacocks at Pinecrest Gardens from there. The community center also has a gym, the Pinecrest public library, and a restaurant called Elia. We always have a nice outing when we come here.

I really love Alper JCC…read more Both my kids have been coming here for years and the quality of education and the love they give here to all students is palpable. JCC is truly a great institution and the facilities are excellent. Pools, gym, theater, tennis... etc all very good. I'm actually sad that the kids have to move on from here but their foundation is strong from JCC teaching and their values.

As a gym, Alper JCC's Fitness Center is a treasure for several reasons. First of all when you come…read morehere, there tends to be plenty of parking outside. The price per month is affordable (for me, it is about $35 per month), the location itself is big, and it is a community center. While I haven't participated in any of the local events, I really appreciate that this place is meant to be inclusive to the entire community. This means that as a community center, they have special things offered for children and for senior citizens as well. I was considering taking my daughter here for their theater program which I know is excellent and provides great training for this. Moving onto the gym itself -- they offer Hot Yoga, Vinyasa, and all kinds of other Yoga. There are many kinds of in-person classes that tend to be offered here. Even during CoronaVirus, they have been offering classes from their teachers on Facebook just so that people can still exercise without endangering themselves. There is a massive pool in the back and the bathroom has both a steam room and a massage chair that can be used. This place always serves coffee and free / clean towels for gym members to wash their faces. At a premium price, they offer pilates for those that are interested in this. There is a weight room for lifting weights, exercise machines, a Peloton machine and a room for spinning bikes in the back (not the quality that I'm accustomed to, but still, I found this kind of cool). Overall, I really appreciate the hospitality that this gym shows in terms of its customer service and what is literally offered to its members. There is also a daycare center here if this is needed. I like that this gym makes an effort towards inclusion which means that they encourage older people to stay in good and healthy shape. While I might be working out next to someone that is 60 years old, I really appreciate that this gym and the atmosphere here is inclusive to its entire community which also means its elders and children within the community too. This place is a hidden treasure and it would be hard to find other places that can match how welcoming and caring this place is.
