She is the only person who can draw blood without hurting me. She is the sweetest, kindest, woman you will ever meet and is always a pleasure to talk to - she eases your mind and makes you very comfortable and relaxed. If ever I get a lab slip to another place (like Quest), I have my doctor give me a generic one specifically so I can go to Primex. There is never any wait! She's in the little beige building directly to the left of the drive up liquor store on Loma Vista across from CMH. The process is long for questioning and testing and they only compensate $50 for an hour-two hour processing. It's very clean inside and employees are professional, very robotic and scripted though. I just got creepy vibes having to be buzzed in the front door. Like why??? It has a weird lab testing facility vibe. Plenty of parking. You know someone needs your donation and you or someone you love might need a donation in the future. The staff have always been kind and I eat a mountain of stacks after my donation. I work up an appetite sitting there giving platelets. I donated whole blood once but they realized I had the universal platelets and donating those takes longer but they are desperate for those. No, you don't have to donate anything in particular but donating platelets is probably the closest I'll come to saving a life. Plus, cookies!

In the beginning donation times were swift and the "customer service" I experienced was average if not above average. As time went by some of the individuals that would stick me were so bad at finding my vein and keeping the needle placed properly inside of the vein my wait times were extended. Not to mention the pain and bruising that came along with it. Do not be surprised if you are left on a machine for extended periods of time with no progress being made, I needed to pause my machine so an employee would notice I was not pumping via the light on said machine. To make matters worse the lead supervisor that they have working on the floor Monica has some of the worst manners and rhetoric i've experienced in a "health care" setting. She once told me that she would be able to cut the receiving portion of the saline process to make my appointment faster since they were taking to long to initially start the process for me as I would miss an additional appointment I had elsewhere, when I had informed another employee of this she said nobody does that and she didn't know why she told me that . Also was told because I refused to have her stick me due to her relaying of false information to me. She also informed me I would need to go waiting back to the lobby if another employee was not able to stick me within a certain time frame which I have no control over so that is the facilities fault, when I confirmed this information with another employee I was informed I had rights that she could not intervene with. Additionally when I had a email for a bonus for donating since I had stopped going for these reasons. When I told Martha and shown her the email, monica needed to check the email again to verify the validity of the email. There is alot of undermining on Monicas part when it comes to the rest of the staff. Monicas so called "intimidation" that she believes she has with her co workers has also affected them from setting up my machine properly entirely due to her unnecessary micromanagement skills . I won't mention the cleanliness of facility because some days were fine other days I got on a bed with someone else's blood on it which personally didn't really matter to me. As someone who works a full time 12hr shift job the last thing I needed was to deal with some petty miserable "phlebotomist" when money wasn't why I was there in the first place. Very glad I will not be returning also Christy and Martha are amazing will stick you perfectly and painlessly every time and are very sweet and informative individuals, they will be missed.

The girl who was meant to do my intake seemed more interested in talking g about how she slashed her ex boyfriends tires and how crazy she was I guess, the guy in the otherside of her referred to himself as evil. She called for like a real phlebotomy person and we waited 10 minutes while she chatted to everyone else but me, the decided to softly call one again. The lady who eventually came askrd me some questions which was cool, then just started typing in her computer and didnt really tell me what was up for a few minutes, just, "oh I was looking up something. cant find it though someone else will help you" like okay? boom now its time to take my plasma and for the SECOND TIME this lady clearly did not know what she was doing. She still taped the needle to my arm and legit walked off I had no clue what she was doing! Another lady comes over, rips the tape off my arm and starts fishing IN MY ARM AGAIN much like the first lady. No bedside manners, nothing. I cant help but wonder if its because I didnt give them glowing reviews? Also, this morning, they open at 5:30, i called them at 7:30. I had to call them eight times before they decided to answer, whoch is weird cause i swear i heard them say on thursday how they arent supposed to let the phone go to voicemail. I dont know what happened to this place, but some of these folks do not know how to do customer service or healthcare service for that matter. Such a lame spot tbh get better workers ​
