I didn't feel pressured to join at all from my first call with Michael to inquire about the class schedule and when I finally came in, the atmosphere was perfect! Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, I didn't want to leave! I've been going to Pure Form for about two months now. If you're looking for hands-on experience with coaches who emphasize good form and small, intimate group classes, this is the place. TRAINING: I've taken both Michael's and Jacklyn's classes - they both have different styles of encouragement and training but the daily workout itself is the same. The main driving point with Pure Form is that they are all about having good form and making sure you are safe from injury so that you only have to focus on pushing yourself through the 45-minute workouts. The normal training schedule is MW Strength, T/Thur Core/Cardio, Friday, Form (Seems like all out at the end of the week - Mondays are usually easiest!) - but the workouts do change every month! I also like that the workouts are fairly consistent for a whole month so you can learn the movements and improve on form/increase weights! FACILITY: The facility is large and spacious, there are TRX suspensions, medicine balls, sandbags, dumbbells, and resistance bands of varying sizes available. I've been able to grab the exact weights I want for every workout too, so they have plenty of options. The one thing that I would ding on is that you can only use the facility for training during the group classes at the moment, which are held hourly between 5-8 AM and 5-7 PM respectively! PRICE: If you visit their website for a free trial, you can see that they're pretty transparent on pricing, another plus in my book! They are pricey though. Yearly packages start at $1400 and monthly prices are around $119 (as of June 2021, this may be updated in the future obviously!). A single class is $15 and a 20 class pass is $250. (12.50) However, for this area, the pricing is very reasonable, most other gyms in Midtown and West Sac all range from $150-200 monthly and the quality of instruction here is excellent. Tips: They also do student and military discounts, just ask! Go for the free trial to see if you like the workout before you commit!

Another unique thing about Keola Bodyworks is the trainers are able to work with you to make sure all your movements/lifts are correct. Secondly, they will tailor the workout to fit your goals and/or limitations. Do you have bad knees? No problem, Ben, Danette or Chris will assist you so that you are not missing your workouts because of an injury! One aspect I love about this is the targeted classes from abs and arms to booty and legs! I also appreciate the 3 rounds including the stairs and floor work. There's variations and I modify if need be. This is a safe space where I can push myself and also listen to my body. I love the encouraging environment from the vibes inside to the people you are surrounded by. Bunda has a parking structure next to their space for their clients. There's also 1 hour street parking. I've attended classes by both Alex and Jalen; they're both awesome and add their own flair to each class. The group is a good mix ranging from beginners, and ppl who have been working out for years. No matter your fitness level, anyone can do the workouts and leave feeling good. Coach Jalen once said, "The workouts aren't hard, just intense." I completely agree. Because anyone can do the exercises, but the difficulty level is completely up to you (until the coaches get on you that you're making it look too easy lol). '17 to March '18 and in that time SERIOUS DAMAGE was done to my spine. I had to have many consultations with my doctor and even a spinal surgeon due to the excruciating pain that I have been in day to day. I had to be lifted out of bed in the morning and lowered into the seating position. I was a healthy 26 year old before I let the trainer here wreck my back. I told him I was in pain during a set of 10 sets of 10 reps of deadlifts that he PRESSURED ME INTO DOING and he ignored me and went back to looking at his phone. Fast forward 2 months and I've been complaining about the same pain the whole time and he continues to take my money to train me, even though the FIRST DOCTOR I see tells me to take time off from training. Hmmmm, it seems like the trainer was much more interested in draining my wallet, not improving my health. He's a scammer and unprofessional and he will tell you about his degrees and how he cares about fitness but it's all BS. See all their nice new equipment? They buy it by training people who have no business doing the kinds of exercises they recommend. Confirmed by my spinal surgeon. BUYER BEWARE
