Be sure you have really good insurance or this place will charge you a ridiculous amount after your visit for doing nothing but offering advise you could've obtained off the internet. Charged me over $200 and still couldn't give me the medicine I requested. Doctor kept on pushing for meds that seemed "cheaper" when my insurance covered all cost with a $0 copay. They said they would input the request and APPROVE it before I left, but they didn't; they knew I was leaving the country in less than 48HRS and they didn't do what they said they were going to do. On top of that the staff had an attitude after I expressed my case, obviously don't believe in customer service and came up with the worst excuse "I'm just a scheduler". This right here is a TERRIBLE place to come. The help was subpar and they do not listen to patients/customers or offer world class service. I had to drive out of the way for this waste of time and they did not help me with what I needed. I do NOT recommend this place, they are lazy. read more

I am so grateful for this office. They have always been very punctual with my appointments, which I really appreciate. Specifically, nurse Chelsea has gone above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and has great communication with me as well as Tricia, my provider. I can't thank Tricia enough for all she has done for me. I have complete confidence in her medical knowledge and plan moving forward. She is quick, yet extremely thorough. Tricia has wonderful bed-side manner and makes me feel at ease even when the procedure is uncomfortable. I love that I can get in and out of the office quickly. I'd used this practice in SW Medical Village a few times in the past and was happy with them. Not this last time though. I spent 29 minutes on hold to make my last appointment! I don't care what staffing issues were allegedly affected by the pandemic, any place that is willing to having customers stay on hold for 29 minutes is doing something VERY wrong! I had a few pieces of skin removed at my last visit. I was a little concerned about swelling at one of the sites the next day. When I called I wasn't even given the option to hold when I called, I was just told to leave a message and they'd get back to me as soon as they could. Instead I went to the office and they were apologetic about "the service" being pretty busy. They were also willing to let me see the doctor after a few minutes. She allayed my fears and was great. I have no problems with Dr. Riddell Scott, she was terrific! She gets 5 stars. Unfortunately the practice really sucks and I'm not sure I'll be going back. read more

I contacted them regarding an issue on my back and they said yes, we can help you and scheduled me to come into the office. I may visit they brought me into a room looked at my back and said no we can't help you. Then proceeded to which I pay so I don't wreck my credit . And in the end received no help from them, but had a bill for an office visit where they told me they couldn't help me. Definitely will never contact them again for any needs I might have. read more

Wow.. Nothing good to say here unfortunately.. I booked my appointment with Dr Jones a month ago. Today (the day of my appointment) they said he wouldn't be in and I'd need to reschedule. They then informed me that if I still wanted to see Dr Jones it would be 2 months out and the only person they could get me in to see before that would be a physician assistant. The lady rescheduling me had quite an attitude when I asked "so I've already waited a month to see doctor Jones and I'd have to wait another 2 months after he was the one who canceled on me the day of?" Her reply - "well you don't want to see the physician assistant so that's your choice." Atrocious customer service and extremely unprofessional. Needless to say I'll be taking my business elsewhere. read more

I've been trying to get my insurance to approve a certain medication. I set up the authorization through insurance. I then called the Cedar Park, Texas Vitology to let them know to expect this authorization form they need to fill out and send back. I then called about four days later to see if it was done and of course it wasn't done. I was told they called the pharmacy and there was a coupon to help with the cost. I told Chelsea that was not what I wanted done and that I told them insurance was trying to get them to send back an authorization form. Then she told me she would do it right then. I call the insurance today which was three weeks after I first called Vitology warning them about the approval letter finding out that Vitology never responded to the authorization form and the whole process was cancelled with insurance two weeks after first initiated because they never received a response. I was specifically told that would be done weeks ago. Only to find out they did nothing and I had to call insurance again and open up the approval process once again. Then today Chelsea says she just got busy and had no time to do that form and send it back in three weeks. This place has the slowest response time and one of the worst doctor's offices I've ever dealt with. They have the worst customer service and treat their patients with no priority. They make you wait three weeks for medication you need approved and then waste your time when the whole process is dropped because of no response. They also make you wait a long time to just make an appointment on the phone or talk to a nurse. They relay the wrong information from staff to staff and make you repeat yourself many times before they try to understand what you need. The worst customer service ever. A huge waste of time. I'm totally dissatisfied with this place. Don't waste your time. read more

Tricia Winters is the best thing that's ever happened to my skin. She's insanely knowledgeable about everything skin related. She helped with acne, and now she's helping me with anti-aging. My teenager sees her as well, I have no complaints about her whatsoever. I took one star away because of their new (within the last year) phone system. I called and left a voicemail asking to speak with a nurse/medical assistant. Someone from their call center company called me back and asked why. That's not information I'm willing to share and told them as such, and they ended up sending me to the Med Spa extension which wasn't what I was needing. We have been going here for a while and always have a great experience. Tricia Winters is wonderful! She is so personable and explains everything in detail, answering any questions we have. Dr. Jones is great, too! I took my son the other day, as he had broken out in a rash all over. Within the first 10 seconds of walking into the room, Dr. Jones knew what caused it. He prescribed an ointment and cream and after using them for just a couple of days, his rash has improved tremendously! There are multiple locations, which is convenient. I have been a patient of Vitalogy Skincare for a number of years and have always been happy with the service I have received until today. First let me say I see Tricia Winters and she is great so my issue is not with her. After waiting thirty minutes on the phone to make an appointment I was told I had an outstanding balance that I was unaware of. I said ok after I make my appointment send me to billing and I will take care of it but the girl refused to make my appointment until I had taken care of my balance. I have always paid my bill and didn't want to have to wait an additional amount of time on the phone to make an appointment after waiting so long to begin with. It seems like this company is more concerned about money than their patients. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Jones in mid December. I had to wait until January 16th for an appointment. I received a call a few hours before my appointment to notify me that they had to cancel my appointment because the doctor is out today. The next available appointment would be in February. They didn't offer to let me see an alternate provider or be seen at a different location. Absolutely unprofessional. I understand that cancellations happen however I shouldn't have to be moved to the bottom of the list especially after waiting a month for my appointment. I called today to get pricing information for a procedure that was recommended to me the prior time I was there. I was on hold for almost 20 minutes. I understood that's been happening a lot lately and was patient. Then I asked the person who answered the phone for the pricing for the service. She transference me to the "spa". I was put on hold there for another 10 minutes. Then the person at the spa said she could not provide me with that information, but could either book an appointment or transfer me somewhere else. I have to say my previous dermatology/med spa services have always left me feeling rushed out the door leaving me with so many questions and feeling like I was just a number. Today was my first visit to the Cedar Park location and Edwena completely turned this around for me! She was so kind, caring and took the time to explain in detail. I never felt rushed one bit. I told her that my last appointment I was prescribed multiple creams and I didn't understand what they were for and gave up using them. She explained each one and even wrote me a note in detail on how to. When prepping my skin she even did steps that I had not experienced previously. I left feeling so grateful and cared for! Dr. Chu biopsied my forehead on 12/9/20. The amount taken seemed excessive at the time. I was given no care instructions until my return on 12/31. I now have a small indentation in my forehead that is not filling in. I am disappointed in the result and would not return to Dr. Chu. read more

I have had what looked like a sunspot on my face for a few years and wanted it removed so I booked an appointment with Laini Moman at Vitalogy in Cedar Park. I arrived and was called back almost immediately upon checking with a friendly greeting and it put some of my nerves at ease considering the fact that we are dealing with precious cargo (my face). Laini started by asking me the pertinent questions and then suggesting what she thought the best procedures would be. She was incredibly knowledgeable and had a way of putting me at ease. Not only was she gentle but the procedure was over before I knew it and I experienced NO PAIN. I will definitely be back to see her and am planning on scheduling a facial this week. I would recommend her to anyone needing services that can be performed by a medical esthetician. Hands down she is the best! read more

I have seen many Dermatologists over the years, and having to deal with basal and squamous cell things (thanks to growing up at the beach in California.) Trisha is unbelievably caring, experienced and knowledgable...and thorough. I actually had a doctor once ask me to take my shirt, tell me to turn around, and then say "you're fine, need any skin care products?". Well, unlike these other reviewers, I did not have Dr. Cabrera because she was not available. This place seems very hit or miss. Sometimes I go in and have little to no wait. While other times, I'm waiting in the lobby 20 minutes and then in the patient room for another 30 minutes. Every time I go, (which has been 4 visits over the last 2 months for a skin condition) it seems impossible to get the same doctor. Are they staffing the Doctors at multiple locations - is that why? But, its hard for a skin condition to heal or improve when different doctors or PAs see you each time you visit. Why 3-stars even? Well, the staff is polite and friendly. Never had any billing issues (....yet). And the PA, Dr. Mitchell seems very sweet, my favorite so far. I expect to increase this to 4-stars, or at least hoping to, in my next few visits. But, they've got to get me a consistent staff. read more

My family will not be coming back to your Cedar Park location. While we will greatly miss the physician at this clinic who is wonderful, your staff there is just terrible. From prescriptions, appointment scheduling. I just hung up from trying to make an appointment after getting put on hold and subsequently be bumped around to 4 people who kept asking me my name. This is a common occurrence for me. Prescriptions require an advance degree to understand how to fill them and once you do it's more phone calls with a shipping company to get them. On top of all of this, they will not refill prescriptions unless you make another appointment. This is a convoluted, non customer service oriented environment. Again - I do want to say that the physician is awesome, the whole family loved him. This office has serious issues and sad to see such a great doctor supported by incompetent people. read more

I have some concerns regarding the scheduling. When I call I am waiting for greater than 4 minutes then I'm given the option to have them return my call. I have left 2 messages with no return call. Yesterday when I did get a call back so I could schedule a back to back appointments, I was then put on hold for 8 minutes and I finally hung up. It's not put well together to make or change appointments. Very discouraging to want to return. read more

I had a good experience here. The staff was friendly, warm and efficient, and the doctor was personable enough. I may have felt a tad bit rushed, but hey--it was an end-of-day appointment, so it's understandable. He checked all the boxes, so to speak, and I got the skin exam I came for. The nurse was knowledgeable enough--she got done what needed to be done, and conveyed the information I think she meant to convey. And, as a side note, she is the gentlest local-anesthesia-giver that has ever lived (I had to get a small spot removed). She has it down to a science; I literally barely felt it. I hate giving a one star review. But in this case it is necessary to "let the buyer beware". I will start with the Pro - which is Tricia Winters. She is excellent, and I followed her here from a previous group she was with. 100% professional, thorough, and just plain nice. I hope she moves again soon so that I can continue seeing her. Now the Cons: This practice is in general very poorly run, and the billing department does not have a clue. Check out many of the reviews and you will see the same theme. We have multiple family members who are patients, so we get a fair number of bills from them. In one case, they spelled my son's name wrong, so insurance said no dice. They sent us zero notifications, and even when other family members went in for an appointment no notification was given that we had an outstanding balance. We only found out about it because when I ran my annual free credit report I found a collection agency on it. What? When I called billing, she verified the info was sent to collections even though we were never notified. I asked why they didn't just say something during one of the dozen or so appointments we had had since the collection. "Yeah, that would be nice, but our system doesn't work that way". But even after that, we stayed. Until today. Three months ago I had surgery for something, it was fine, but while standing in the office I asked if we had any outstanding bills. We went over every family member. Yes, there were three outstanding balances. So I paid each one, and kept the receipt. Some weeks later I get two separate bills for my surgery, with different amounts. I call, and am told just to sit tight and they will send me a final bill after insurance pays. Never happened. Then yesterday I receive TWO collection notices. One for my surgery, and one for another bill that I had paid three months ago! Once again I called, and the best the young man could come up with was "human error". I agreed with him... it was an error on this human's part to keep patronizing their business.
