We got takeout pizza (one cheese and one chicken with white sauce) and their cheese bread. The cheese bread is very basic (just a hunk of bread with some cheese melted on top) and the pizza was not that great. It was pretty busy when we picked up our order so worth checking out to see if it's more your style but this won't be one of our regular spots. I did like the old style pizza place look to the building and interior. When we picked up our order it was ready fairly fast. We got four different pizzas and the fried pickle chips for a group meeting. Great crust and the pizzas were loaded with the various cheeses and meats. It's a thin crust style pizza. The fried pickles were good, but tbh, they don't travel well. Best to order these at the restaurant. They have sandwiches, burgers, fried chicken and pasta too. read more

This is another of the many Twin Cities restaurants that I've been going to for literally decades, but I have never written a Yelp review - until now. Latuff's first opened in 1971. When I first went there, they were located on the south side of highway 55 in Plymouth; now they are on the north side of highway 55 in Plymouth. That's about all that has changed since 1971, and I mean that in the best way possible. Latuff's is a family owned, southern Italian, red sauce kind of place. If you went to an Italian restaurant in the 1950's through the 1970's, anywhere in the US, this is the kind of restaurant you know (except, perhaps they are missing the Chianti bottles in wicker baskets on the tables). The menu is super traditional: pizza cut in diamond shapes, spaghetti, ravioli, chicken parm, baked rigatoni, lasagna, a few salads and the usual sides. For people who don't like Italian food, they have burgers and fried chicken. The restaurant consists of a more classic room, with an added section that looks like it was designed for large parties. However, the also use it for dinner service. The ambiance is typical casual Italian restaurant with booths and tables. There is also a bar in the corner. I suspect they do a large take-out business. They also have an outdoor patio. The food is "serviceable." It is not the best version of any dish, but it is always consistently good. We've eaten hear dozens of times, and it's the type of place that doesn't take a lot of thought in ordering because you know what they have and you know what you will probably order. Pricing is fair, with most entrees around $18, give or take a dollar. I would like to note that the service is always very cheerful, professional, and quick. If they see you need a pop refill, they will give it to you before you even notice. Need a napkin? No worries. The people here seem to enjoy what they are doing and I suspect most are long-time employees. Every neighborhood needs a Latuff's! read more

I came in for lunch with a group of people today. As the waitress was getting the menu I asked if they had anything Gluten sensitive. Her response sounded irritated and she said "Well it's cooked in the same oven". I told myself maybe she didn't mean to sound so snarky with her comment and then ordered some food. Me and one other person had ordered the same thing - the GS. As one of the two pizzas was being placed on the table someone else asked " Is that the Gluten Free one?". I looked down at the pizza in front of me and thought, looks good. The waitress replied "maybe". I didn't take a bite because, who wants weeks of extra suffering. Then more pizzas came and I was told this one was GS. It looked nothing like the other pizza had! I am used to paying extra money for a crappy crust but, this thing had almost no cheese, and all burnt edges, Yuck! I ate a few bites and I am hoping I don't get too sick. I didn't want to say too much more at the restaurant because we were out for someone else's special occasion. I have to eat GS for my health and will never go back there. read more

So I was devastated to learn the family establishment that I have been eating at since the 70's had been sold to new owners. I'm not joking...it felt like a death of my childhood. (To be fair--I'm 50 so years also contributed to this feeling) Often new owners come in trying to change, put their own spin on, economize, or change things.... I can not speak to operations but I can speak to pizza. It was unchanged. My childhood shrimp pizza was marked safe from new owners! The cheese pizza 14in was pretty good, except for it being inconsistent diamond shapes. The service was awesome all the people here are nice and greet us when we immediately arrived. The music was pretty soothing nothing bad or out of touch songs. read more

This little Italian spot has a big menu with pizza, pasta, fried chicken, and so much more. They have a devmcent size parking lot, but fills up due to this being a popular spot in the areaa. They have been around since 1971 & are known for their diamond cut on pizza. I had a glass of red wine, shared their wings, and 2 pizzas. The wings were so crispy and had a nice Italian seasoning. The pizzas were classic but good. It's a great stop and I am looking forward to enjoying their patio in the summer. read more

I was in the area and thought this would be good to take home. I enjoy different pizzas and never get from chains. Nice big pieces of sausage and a good sauce. However this thin crust style should be eaten right away in the restaurant preferred. We didn't eat it at home right away either. We nuked it hours later. Just tried Latuffs again after a long period of time. First, it took 45 minutes to get our order of 1 pizza. EVERYONE who came in after us got their order before us. Now I have tried a lot of different pizzas and have chosen my favorite, and I can tell you that this was the worst pizza I have EVER had. Crust tasted like cardboard, and the sausage and onion both had no taste whatsoever. The beer was good though!! read more

I am a casual visitor. I heard from another guest that the bartender tonight said to this guest, "I hope your friends don't bother my other guests" this was because we stopped to make conversation with another couple. We asked their permission first to talk with them. Comment by the bartender was uncalled for considering we come in their every couple of weeks. read more

We had driven past Latuff's several times and decided to try it for dinner. It was fairly crowded but not packed. We were seated immediately. First of foremost, the service was terrible. After we ordered, we waited almost 45 minutes for our food. Each time we asked about it, the waitress said that they were really busy. We had to ask for drinks, then ask for bread. After we said something to the Manager (who said they were really busy), our food finally came. When it came, the food was okay but nothing special. Certainly not worth the wait. I am sorry but how long should it take for an Italian restaurant to get three basic pasta dishs ready and served. It was not that busy. You simply do not let people sit at a table that long with no food in front of them. There was a table next to us with little kids who also had to wait for their meals. This may have been an off night, but since we will not be back, I will never know! read more

Great food at a reasonable price - 4 stars. It's Latuff's Pizzeria 50 year anniversary and I've never been here??? Time to change that! First of all, the pizza is excellent. I tried the Meat Lover's Pizza. The other food was pretty good to. For starters I had the fried State Fair pickles and a cup of the Cajun style tomato basil soup. The fried pickles were great. The tomato basil soup was interesting but it wasn't really my thing. But my friends loved it. One of my friends ordered the Latuff's sampler. He really enjoyed it. I thought it was simply "okay". The ravioli was the best part. Our third diner got a GIANT Chef Salad. It looked kinda gross to me. But she seemed to love it. It had a mountain of iceberg lettuce, flat American Cheese pieces, hydroponic tomatoes, and an egg. Blah! I'd love to go back again and try a hot sandwich or the broasted chicken. Latuff's has got the slice down to a science. Flavorful sauce, perfectly-browned cheese, and crunchy thin crust made our pizza a total knockout. Also, Latuff's adds a unique touch by slicing their pizzas in diamond shapes. It's different, but adds a welcome change to the classic Italian dish that some consider overdone or cliche. Excellent pizza and sauce. I have been going to Latuffs for around 40-45 years. It was our go to pizza joint growing up in Plymouth. So a trip there recently brought Pizza is excellent. We live a little far from Latuff's so our trips there are infrequent. Yesterday's visit to the doctor's office brought us in range so we stopped for a takeout pizza. So good. It was a simple mushroom and sausage, but it has that gorgeous lumpy presentation, with the meatballs and mushrooms pushing up under the cheese. And that sauce is so tangy and delicious. The mushroom and sausage combo is how I gauge a pizza place's quality, and this joint gets it very right. I hope we find another reason to visit Latuff's soon. read more
