The provider caused me significant pain and when I flinched from the needle in my eye, instead of perhaps adding more numbing drops he had his burly male assistant hold me down against my will, despite my repeated requests to stop. It was an absolute nightmare. He kept telling me I was doing fine, despite the fact that I clearly was not. It was a total disregard for my comfort, wellbeing and clearly stated wishes for him to stop. It felt like an assault, not a medical procedure. Run, do not walk, away from this practice.

When my health insurance denied the claim, I called them to give them my eye insurance which it took three calls into the billing center to get to talk to someone, before someone returned my call. At that time, I was told they don't process insurance claims through eye insurance. I would have had my eye exam through my eye doctor and not an tech at Minnesota Eye. If I would have known.

She had glasses on and referred to A-dee-na and Minne-an-apolis. Also, the A-dee-na location that I booked online was closed. She was able to pronounce Oakdale and switched me to this location. Not confidence inspiring. Told me that only five percent of people have problems. You are telling me I have a one in twenty chance of this being complicated from Ohio? That ain't how we do it in Minnesota! I called them to cancel the next pre-surgery appointment but nobody answered. Imagine that. Oh, yeah. They wanted 38 hundred after the 1K discount. The woman at the desk told me, "Sure, but I need you to step aside so I can check out patients." Excuse me? There were two desk staff members present and only one patient waiting behind me. Instead of the second person helping me or the first person taking thirty seconds to look at a calendar, I was told to move out of the way like I was a disruption. I have never been treated so rudely in all my life. To be told to "step aside" at a business where I am a loyal patient is a slap in the face. They clearly have no regard for patient retention or basic manners. They have officially lost my business permanently. If you want to be respected as a patient, go elsewhere!

This information would have been nice to have been told to me when I made the appointment over the phone or even after I filled out a giant questioner with both my medical and vison care insurance information. Instead I am stuck paying basically $400 for a routine pediatric eye exam, when I guess if I had just gone somewhere like Walmart instead of This clinic that my doctor recommended, I would have only had a bill for a $10 copay. If you are a company that prides yourself with the sole purpose of eye care you should really consider accepting Vision insurance from more than one company! At the very least make sure you tell the customer when making the appointment over the phone, after the customer has given you their vison insurance information that St. Paul Eye Clinic PA will not accept it. I Would have never gone here if I was told that my vision insurance was not accepted.
