The coffee is great, the surroundings are so cute and they have very cool quality items for sale. But the gentleman making the coffee with glasses (perhaps the owner) has always had a sharp tongue. This is the 3rd time he's spoken to me condescendingly. I don't think I'll be going back. read more

Upon the recommendation of a friend, I came in to Vittoria for coffee and breakfast and to get a little work done. The large coffee was perfect for the morning and the blueberry muffin was delicious (and larger than expected!). I asked for the WiFi code, which was helpful to work. It is clearly a family, neighborhood business and I appreciated how people came in and out and everyone seemed to know each other. They were so friendly and welcoming; if I lived here I would come by regularly. Not only was the coffee high quality, but I thought everything was reasonably priced. Five stars for friendly service and good coffee. I look forward to returning. If you're in Williamsburg, I recommend stopping by for casual, friendly coffee. read more

They do have a no book or laptop policy on Saturday and Sunday to keep out lingering people which I understand. If you need to do one of those things, you should pretend you're at a liberal arts college and sit outside at a public park. We hung out for a little bit and watched people go by. Not friendly to people trying to work there. Don't think you're going to get warm, helpful hospitality. I came in, tried to get settled (take off my millions of layers cause it's cold and out my bags down) and finish up a call before waiting for a friend to order. The man behind the counter was incredibly rude, started talking shit about me while I was only one of two customers in the entire place. So I decided to bring my business elsewhere. The new Vittoria Cafe (just last week a construction zone) intercepted me en route to El Beit. It was, perhaps in accordance with being so new, refreshingly empty - only about half of its 10 or so dark clean gleaming wood tables were ever occupied during my hours-long stay. The Bedford Avenue epicenter doesn't really need another pricey local coffeeandcake cafe - but here we go. Cash only, and not cheap: fancypants coffees run between $3.50 - $4.95, and my croissant was $2.50. A buttered bagel, on the other hand, cost $1. The same sugary Italian pastry display case as the old Vittoria Bakery vends the same donut-wrapped-cream-stuffed-honey-glazed goodies. The back room, I was told, will be a wine bar, license pending. read more

I asked for the wifi password - I checked outside to see if they had a network - and the barista told me "no" because they don't give out the password on weekends. During my short stay, I observed two nice people ask for a bathroom and one ask if she could charge her phone because she was expecting a call and the battery was dead; the answer was a polite "no" each time. All three left without buying anything. A business certainly has the right to set their own rules about what they do and the staff was polite, but I did not at all like the vibe at Vittoria Cafe. This is a small coffee shop that is not usually very crowded. This makes it nice and quiet for getting some work or thinking done. Then again, it's not empty for nothing. They don't have a bathroom. AND they don't have wifi on weekends. I have settled in here on 2 separate occasions to do some computer work, and both times I was alerted to these facts AFTER I sat down, took out my laptop, and bought a drink. While waiting for a table at Sweet Chick to open up, my friend Krystal and I decided to take a seat in a local cafe and wait for our "Your table is ready!" phone call. Lucky for us, Vittoria is, literally, right next door, which is about as local as you can get! There was lots of seating, lots of light, and ample drinks with a few good pastries. Not wanting to fill up too much, I got a croissant and my friend got a blueberry scone. Both were delicious, but that croissant was quite stellar! It was crispy and flaky on the outside, but doughy and buttery on the inside. It was honestly one of the best I'd had in a while! Cute little cafe amongst the popular brunch spots on Bedford. Apparently Vittoria Cafe was revamped from father-to-son, and that's pretttyyy cool as a historical landmark. I asked for a French press to share, as you do in most restaurants or coffee places and after laughing, he responds with "are you going to wait??" Well duh. I am not much of a coffee drinker. I love green tea. I stumbled into this place a couple of months ago and got a cappuccino. It changed my life! It was so smooth. There was none of the bitterness of other coffee. I have been back multiple times and it has been great every single time. I live a mile away and will get on my bike and peddle on down for the cappuccino. This unassuming place is the standard for coffee in NYC. This place is fantastic and it has been a landmark in Williamsburg since 1969 ! The guy (and before his father) who runs the place has been there forever serving coffee to the neighborhood. If you want to know tips on Williamsburg or how it was back in the days, here's a good place to start with. There's always a good mix of people of all ages and horizons, it's great. The coffee is excellent, for me it's perfect balance: full body, not too acidic and nice aroma. You also have a choice of pastries to go with it. It's really comfortable and friendly atmosphere, I love the simplicity and original atmosphere of the place. Really don't understand the wi-fi & plugs comments.... You are not in a library or in an office. Have a coffee, have a pastry, a good chat with people and enjoy life ! That's what coffee places are for !... read more

So I'm just starting to get into 'coffee'. Little did I know but its kind of a big deal....like everywhere. So a friend and I stopped into this cool little cafe. I ordered the french press and they made it right there on the spot and it tasted great. (no milk or sugar added). This is a perfect little cafe to enjoy a nice conversation with a friend. It's the polish side of Greenpoint meeting a non presumptuous spot on N Williamsburg. Vibe might be less trendy then other coffee places but in a good way... Staff is very pleasant and friendly. I get a coffee here almost everyday. Solid little place that's been around forever. Please support them and El Beit (not the upcoming D&D's - although I like them too). PROS: - AMAZING coffee. Iced or hot. - Fast service - Nice owner / staff - Decent selection of food (though I don't eat here often) - Simple seating area to enjoy your drinks. - Get your 10th drink free cards! Hands down my favorite coffee shop for a cappuccino in both BK and the city. It is a no frills place that keeps its' main focus on the bean. Sure, cash only can be an inconvenience and many people look for wifi, etc in a coffee shop, but I kind of like that they keep it old school in the same way they do their [awesome] drink making techniques. read more

Littoria was such a peaceful, adorable spot to start my morning. I was drawn in by the stand outside that offered a free cup of joe with any purchase of their pastries!! I immediately gravitated towards their muffins. The blueberry muffin was absolutely perfect especially while waiting for the coffee to cool down. It's cash only. Good for breakfast and brunch, because they have a variety of add ons with toast or a bagel. Seating is very limited so just keep that in mind. The barista was also very receptive.
