Do not expect support from the service department after you buy your vehicle. I purchased my 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee L from Viva Dodge Chrysler Jeep, and I can honestly say the customer service I received after the sale has been one of the worst dealership experiences I've ever had. I fully understand my vehicle is outside the factory warranty. I was not asking for a free repair or for anyone to ignore the warranty. I simply asked for guidance and whether my situation could be reviewed for possible goodwill assistance through Jeep/Stellantis since I purchased the vehicle new from Viva. Instead, Adriana's response was a single text message telling me I was "out of warranty." That was the end of the conversation. No explanation, no discussion of options, no offer to submit a goodwill request, and no effort to advocate for a customer who bought his vehicle from their dealership. I then contacted management hoping someone would actually take ownership of the issue. Instead, I was told I would have to leave my vehicle at the dealership for 3-4 weeks before they would even inspect it to determine whether they could do anything. That is an unreasonable expectation for anyone who relies on their vehicle. After posting my original review, the dealership publicly responded asking me to contact them to discuss my concerns. That response turned out to be completely meaningless. I called exactly as requested, waited on hold, and was transferred right back to the same people who had already dismissed me. Nothing changed. No manager spoke with me. No one took ownership. No one attempted to resolve anything. At this point, their public responses to negative reviews appear to be nothing more than canned responses designed to create the impression that they care. My experience was the exact opposite. If they genuinely wanted to resolve customer concerns, someone with the authority to help would have contacted me instead of sending me back to the same dead end. The true measure of a dealership isn't how they treat you when they're trying to sell you a vehicle--it's how they treat you after the sale. Viva failed that test at every opportunity. We purchased a 2026 Ram 2500 Laramie it was used with 5980 miles on it. We were first was told that the original owner turned it in because they couldn't make the payments, not true!! I did a car fax check and it was owned by a rental car company (different Car Fax from the one they gave us) They said they changed the oil, they did not. We had to pay 300 to have it changed. Also the Car Fax that they gave us said there wasn't a recall on it, when we had the oil changed we were told there was a recall. When we picked it up someone had dented the back bumper, it wasn't like that when we walked the truck, they tried to say we did it (it's funny they have a pole on their property that fits the dent perfectly). They told us they would be putting a half tank of fuel and top off the DEF for us before we picked it up and when we picked it up the fuel light was flashing and the DEF was at half. We called 5 times regarding these issues, only to be blown off by the sales manager and Jonathan the sales man. They stopped taking our calls and would not return our voicemail messages. When we signed the papers there was an owners manual in the glove box and it disappeared along with the wheel lock, the salesman, Johnathan saw both of them because my wife pointed them out on the test drive . So, if you're thinking of going to this dealership to purchase a vehicle, I would recommend you go somewhere else. Once they have your money they will do whatever they want and lie about it. I purchase a 1500 Ram from this dealership in June of 2025. It took them 6 months to get my registration to me. Every time I called, they would say that it was on the way or directly blamed the DMV. I finally got it but they had only given me one year of registration when they charged me for two years. After bringing it to their attention, they promised that they would refund me the funds I paid for the second year of registration. Well once again, it's been more than two months and I've yet to receive my credit. They keep promising me that they will refund me but nothing gets done. Horrible service!!! I've had the truck since October of 2024 purchased at Carmax. I dropped my truck (2022 Dodge Ram Lonestar Diesel) off on the 5th of June via tow truck because the engine would not start. I never received a phone call from anyone in the service department! I did receive a call from one of their telemarketers but not the service department. Not to be a pain, I called every Friday and just got the run around from their "Service Advisor of the Month" who for about a month just said we're trying to diagnose the problem and thet he would call me back, which he never did. They finally just said they found metal shavings in the fuel system and the repairs were not covered by the warranty and I'd have to pay over 7K for the repairs. So we called the warranty ourselves and they said they were getting ready to close the claim because Viva Dodge had not sent them any paperwork in 3 weeks!!! I spoke to Carmax and they told me all the work is covered by the warranty and that they've had alot of issues with Viva Dodge and the vehicles they've sent there. Carmax paid for my truck to be towed to Sunland Park Dodge where the work will be done right, but not before these idiots at Viva Dodge did not want to release my truck until we paid a diagnostic fee!!! Carmax paid the fee and now my truck is at Sunland Park Dodge. We have received phone calls with updates and have been promised we won't have to go through the same issues as we did at Viva Dodge. So my baby needed an oil change and since it only takes a full synthetic oil, I wanted to be certain she was taken care of properly. I had called around and pretty much everywhere else they wanted $90-$110 for it but luckily I found a coupon from Mopar for $49.99 so I scheduled it. Next day I'm there@8am and was greeted and taken care of. Took about an hour to complete and overall I was happy as was my baby but I would have liked a courtesy car wash but nada. Do not use their service department!!! I would post a -5 if google allowed me. I tried to make an appointment on a Saturday to get my 2024 Ram 2500 service and the mirrors repaired, under warranty. I live an hour away and can't afford to use PTO to take my vehicle in. I was told that they do not do appointments for repair or for services and it was first come, first served but the service specialist David told me to come in the next Saturday, as he was working and would get my vehicle in. We did just that, fully understanding that it would be a few days before the technician would look at it. During the oil change, they found a transfer case leak as well. I finally received a text on Thursday that "Your vehicle has been assigned a technician . We should have a full diagnostic for you soon." It was then crickets and nothing else from the company. I called the service department the following Monday and was informed that nothing had been done on my truck yet. I was given a whole bunch of excuses, to include, "we have 200 trucks in here for repair" and "we have 100 vehicles in here for warranty work". I demanded to talk to the manager and after a wait, Matt, the service department manager called. He did not even take the time to look up the issues with my vehicle before feeding me the same line of BS that David had. I asked for a loaner vehicle and was told he would try to get me one and would call me back. Never heard from him again and when I would call, he wasn't there. He did guarantee that they would stay in contact with me. That did not happen. That Thursday, I was in Los Cruces and stopped in person to check on my truck, NOTHING had been done. I was fed a bunch of BS, told no one does appointment for service or warranty work and a whole lot of other stuff as excuses for their failed business model to include several lies on what it will take to repair the mirrors and other things. I took my truck back that day, made an appointment with a Dodge, Ram dealer in the city for warranty work, and received it back in a week. This companies service department has zero integrity and does not care about the customer. The manager obviously has talking lines for his employees when vehicles are getting repaired, as all of them parroted the same crap. I will never use them again, I will tell everyone I know who has an MOPAR vehicle not to use them and I will ensure none of our company vehicles ever go there again. read more

We Took my Sons Truck in for some check engine light issue that had happened after he had a very reputable shop on the east side install a leveling kit.........We left the truck at the Dealership for a about 2 days while they went through the whole truck and checked EVERYTHING that they possibly could to try and fix the issue.......The Service Manager (Donald Carr) got involved because they were having a hard time pinpointing what the problem was......It is my personal opinion that he went above and beyond trying to make the situation right......The Entire truck was checked and all of the wiring harnesses were checked and rechecked.........Mr Carr then personally delivered the truck to us at the dealership and said everything had been checked and all of the codes had been cleared......It has been more than a month and everything works as it should .......I would highly recommend This Shop to Work on Your Ram if any Service is Needed......Thanks Mr Carr for making this dealership LEGIT once again.....Great Service should always be appreciated.......Gracias Amigo.....Marcelo Medina Jr ....Horizon City Texas.... read more

I am from Las Cruces and I bought a used car at Viva a year ago. I was happy with the deal and bought an extended warranty. Unfortunately the car was totaled out 11 months after I bought it. I went back to Viva to cancel the warranty. I was there 3 times and every time I was given an excuse as to why they could not do this on that day. The finance guy was not there. The other finance guy was off etc. On my 4th visit I insisted we take care of it then and we filled out paperwork. That was over 2 weeks ago.I left them a phone message this week. No return phone call. When I went there today I was told that it will take 8 -12 WEEKS to get my refund. There is no excuse for this. They are very good at sales. I was advised by my husband to arrive at 7, when the location opens to avoid having to wait hours to have my Chrysler car examined. Hence, I followed his instructions and arrived on a weekday promptly at 7. To my surprise the location was packed with lines all the way to the outside of the garage, vehicles waiting. Staff members were very organized and friendly. Upon arriving, I was greeted and my information and keys were taken. I then proceeded to wait for my vehicle to be inspected for two hours. Their waiting room was comfortable, with a coffee maker and staff routinely coming in to offer us any beverages or snacks. Upon waiting two hours, I was informed that my vehicle was inspected and that it requires a LOT of services, totaling 1000+ dollars. I rejected and simply stated I wanted the services completed that I requested. I then was informed my vehicle was ready. Once I left the building it was 9 am, and the building was empty! If I would of know this, I would of came a little later rather than arriving early. It seems that everyone arrives at 7 or before 7, which makes the location packed! Overall, staff was friendly, but expect to wait a few hours to have your vehicle inspected. read more

Had a gentleman from Dodge come to KY front door at 8am on a Monday morning and let me know there was a recall for the airbag on my charger, scheduled an appointment and got my car back by the end of the day. The next day I noticed my steering wheel controls weren't working (radio controls, horn, etc) called and they said just bring it in and we'll fix it. When I was finally able to go in, the person helping me said there might be a $140 diagnosistic fee if it wasn't related to what they worked on. Thought it was laughable as I never ever had any problems with this before taking it in. Later she called and said they fixed it and I wouldn't be charged. She gave me a list of sensor failures that weren't explained just handed over with the keys. Everything was working again so I was happy. The next day back to nothing working on the steering wheel. Find it odd I never had a problem with my steering wheel before this and once I take it for a recall, immediately start experiencing problems. Wouldve been better off taking my chances with the recall rather than having no horn, have to fix it to pass yearly inspection. Avoid this place at all costs. read more

Despite the extremely horrid reviews we went here for our new/used car. We have a Dodge that we love and a Chrysler that we loved before someone totaled it. We came here for a good brand name! We didn't have much selection since we are on a budget but found one that we liked fairly quickly. I cannot make many comments on the car since it hasn't been too long since I bought it (I'll update after some time has passed). The salesman was definitely a salesman! But he was a nice guy, overall. We looked at kbb and other dealers in the area and a little outside the area. From that we got a really good price on our jeep. Worst run in I have ever had at a dealership. Our check brake light had been on and after adding more brake fluid we realized we had a leak that needed to be fixed before a long 800mile trip. While we leave it we need an oil change and our tire pressure light sensor to be fixed. We left our vehicle on a Tuesday and were told it wouldn't even be looked at until Thursday. So logically I ask well can I just bring it back Thursday so I'm not without a vehicle, They responded with NO if you bring it Thursday it won't be seen until Saturday. Have they never heard of making appointments? Thursday passes and no call to update us on the status of our vehicle. We make our weekend trip in a rent car. Saturday we call to get an update and they are replacing the brake line but the part needs to be ordered and it should be arrive in two days. You are a dodge dealership how does your parts department not carry the part needed on a dodge vehicle? Tuesday comes, a week since we dropped off our vehicle and our rental is due so I call back to get an update of when the van should be ready and the guy states I told you husband tomorrow afternoon. So I extend the rental for an extra day with a $10 service charge. Wednesday afternoon we go to pick up our vehicle and they say it's not ready and won't be until tomorrow. We go ahead and take the rental back so it wasn't a wasted trip across town. Thursday, 1 week and 2 days since drop off we finally go to pick up our dodge vehicle. Finally it's ready!! I'm a happy woman.... Until we get there and these idiots didn't even do the oil change or tire pressure sensor. You've got to be kidding me, they had the audacity to say I could leave it overnight and they can do it tomorrow. HELL NO. The service contact never called to update us on the status of our vehicle. We paid for the service of $250 + and additional $180 for a car rental. I will never use this dealership again. They have no customer service skills to speak of. read more

My experience here was great. Joseph was my salesman and he was very knowledgeable and proactive. He maintained transparency throughout the entire time. The dealership allowed me to take a jeep home over night to help me decide on my purchase. However, at time of purchase this particular dealership would not allow me to purchase the Gap insurance without adding it to the finance agreement. Instead it was submitted as a down payment. I didn't like having to pay interest on the Gap. The finance guy hooked it up though. He worked the numbers and got me into the car of my choice. read more

We were on our way home to Az , and the check engine light on our Dodge Magnum came on. We went to an Auto Zone, and the diagnostic test narrowed our problem down to our transmission fluid. We were referred to Viva Dodge in El Paso, Tx. We were worried they wouldn't take our car without an appointment, and it was about an hour before the service department closed, but they let us pull our car right in the bay. My husband explained our situation, and the gentleman who approached us (Peter) asked if we wanted them to check the transmission fluid. He pulled our car in the back, and confirmed that our fluid was a quart low. We paid for the fluid, they filled it up, and reset the computer so the check engine light would turn off. At the end, all we paid for was an $11 quart of transmission fluid. They checked, and filled it, and reset the computer at no charge. If I lived in El Paso, Viva Dodge would be my go to shop whenever I needed repairs. But for now, I know I have a great place to go if I need it and I am in Texas! read more

The service we received was disappointing. We had our vehicle at El Paso Viva Dodge for almost 3 weeks. Continually we would try to contact our Service Advisor. Calls are answered by an answering service that would assure us messages were being directed to our Service Manager. Calls were never returned. My husband went to Viva Dodge in person to get an update. Was provided with the direct cell phone number to our Service Manager to contact him for updates. Unfortunatley he never answered our calls. Our repair was under our extended warranty and we requested a loaner vehicle only to be told there was none available at Viva Dodge. Part of the deal when we bought the car was that they'd fix the dent in he door (it was a new car - 2017 Corolla) and they'd wash and pt had into it. After speaking to our sales rep and making the appointment, my daughter had brought the vehicle in. Only to find out that her appointment wasn't in the system. They took her car anyway. After leaving the car for 3 hours, we had called just to check the status of the work being done. We weren't rushing them to get it done. We just wanted to know if they had started on it yet. They gave us the run around and sent us to a voicemail. So I called and had to get ugly. When calling to check the status of our vehicle that's in the service dept, WHY do I have to speak my sales rep? He isn't the one working on the car! Then when they said the car was ready, it hadn't been washed and no gas was put in. They said they'd take care of it right away. They half ass washed it! My old 2004 Nissan Titan was breaking down. Time for a new truck. The general manager (Manny) was the first person I encountered whom I provided with a list of my requirements. He showed me the Ram 1500 Built-to-Serve Edition Lonestar. It had most of my requirements plus a gun safe - SOLD! The salesman he assigned to assist me, Raul Torres, showed me all the details of the truck. They worked with me on the timing because I had to close on my house San Antonio before I would conclude the sale. The took my trade-in that evening and I drove the truck home that night (I left out a few details as to how that happened to save space). They agreed to install the window tinting at no cost as well. I got one of the only two Built-to-Serve Editions they received to sell. If it wasn't for the GM and his attention to my needs I would have had to spend more money than necessary.
