So my wife and I had been talking about replacing our 2018 Nissan Rogue Sport as it's a 2018 and had over 70k miles. I had been checking the Bronco Sports and some other vehicles but I read up on this one and liked it so we called the dealer late Thursday and went over Friday to check it out. Actually, we were looking at a used 2023 Bronco Sport with just a Lil over 2k miles that was nice but our salesman said I could get a new one with no miles for about the same price so we drove around the lot and settled on this one because of the color. Today was my second visit to Shamaley Ford and it was better than the first time. I don't live in El Paso and despite that needed my Fords serviced while visiting my family at Ft. Bliss. The first visit was just for routine maintenance on my Mustang, however today's visit was for transmission trouble in my wife's F-150. As it turned out (given the repair cost, the truck's age/mileage) the better decision was to just purchase a new truck. It's always great to get a new vehicle, however the sales negotiations, credit apps, paperwork is NOT great. That said, Shamaley Ford REALLY made the entire process very easy! We never felt hustled, rushed, scammed, etc. in any way. My wife and I are extremely happy with the treatment that we received at Shamaley Ford and would definitely do business with them again and recommend this dealership to friends and family. My son and I have purchased no less than 8 trucks and cars from SHAMALEY Ford. Recently, my son took his Rapture in for a recall and to fix the cruise control. Well after 5 days of being in the shop, the work did not get totally done. They wanted to charge another $800 for a modular refit. Service after the sale here is awful, oil change takes like 4 hours. Valvoline does it in 20 minutes and you never leave your vehicle. WE WILL NEVER SHOP AT SHAMALEY FORD EVER AGAIN. Buyer Beware after the sale they don't even recognize you. I finally called and told them I would be picking up my vehicle since they didn't have time for me and clearly didn't value my business. If you don't know how to update me on the status of my vehicle, you probably know even less about my vehicle. Never gain. I recently moved back to the great city of El Paso, TX from Washington, DC. I purchased my 2025 Ford Explorer ST from Apple Ford in Columbia, MD. After some time driving through out the city, I noticed my steering wheel being offset, along with the alignment too. I scheduled an appointment with Shamaley Ford, via their website, which I would consider user friendly. I thought I wouldn't get an appointment for at least a day or two, but I was able to secure one the very next day. I like the fact you're immediately notified, via text as well. Once again, like years before, I was approached by Mr. Eduardo Ruelas, upon entering the their service lane with a proper greeting and whom was totally professional from start to finish in the entire process. The one thing that blew my mind was the fact they'll get you a Lyft to and from, no matter what part of EP you live. Also, I like the text/email updates on the status of the work in progress. I was fortunate that my vehicle is covered under warranty, but if I had to pay, I'd have no problem, due to the fact that the technician was able to remedy my dilemma to my satisfaction. Friendly people and easy to get in to get serviced. However, this is now the second time that their mechanics have not replaced the under shroud and skid plate correctly. This time it fell off 45 minutes into a cross country trip. Took me an hour and a half on the side of the freeway to fix their mistake. Out of 8 bolts/screws, 2 were properly done, 3 completely missing and 3 only put through 2 of the 3 layers on items needed to be bolted back on. Result? Soft shroud destroyed, skid plate folded down and now unserviceable. The basics are completely lost on their "mechanics". She was my advisor . It happens they're busy, when I tell her my vehicle she then says ," Oh it still has not been looked at ." And states to me that the appointment doesn't lock in my vehicle being looked at/serviced only talking with an advisor which I do not think is accurate. I went in for an Air Bag recall they had my car for over a month . And the guy who help me his name was Jesus not only they didn't provide me with rental or loaner vehicle I was without a car for a month. Once I spoke with the manager is when they were able to give me a rental... Once my car was done it was worst then when I left it . They broke my key to start the car and wanted me to replace it . Luckily I had a spare and they didn't replace the other key either just super glue it back together.. Then he tells me my car battery is dead I need a new one. I also ask if they could fix my right headlamp because it came out in the dash that I need to check it and I already replaced it with a new light bulb.. All they care about is money. I was interested in a vehicle with them. I looked at the vehicle on a Wednesday. But they showed the vehicle still dirty and needing to be repaired. The salesman didn't have access to the keys open the vehicle or check out the engine. I was told it would be about a week before it was clean and ready to drive. The following Tuesday the salesman texted to tell me someone else had "signed just like that" on Saturday night. So if they are willing to take your money before they finish their job, do you really think they're going to treat you, your family or your vehicle like they should? Very dishonest. I brought my 2019 Mustang GT premium for a door lock issue and oil change. First of all, expect to be without your car for several days. Extremely difficult to get ahold of my service advisor. My service advisor told me that my rear tire needed to be replaced but that they would have to order the tire. Trusting them, I said go ahead and order. Assumed tire would arrive in few days. After 4 days, I just went and picked up my car. Took my car somewhere else, said my tire can be fixed and they patched up my tire in 30 minutes, no charge. Saved me 400 bucks. And btw., my door lock issue still unresolved. Very dissatisfied. Scheduled an appointment for Saturday at 10 only to find out that I was going to have to leave the car there all day. Why schedule appointments if they don't really mean anything? Also I asked the service supervisor what else they would do to the car while it was in their shop, because I just got this car used and wanted to get a good base on maintenance needed for future reference, instead of answering the question as to what exactly they would do, he started stating what they would not do, can anyone tell me why would you not pull codes on a car that is in you shop? He said unless the check engine light was on they would not pull he codes. Well I retired many years ago and did automotive work for about 12 years, while the car was in the shop we would pull the codes, if any and inform the customer about the results. Imagine that! I know my car has a low pressure sensor code indicating there is something wrong, even though the check engine light is not on! Precisely why you can't trust the check engine light, I have cleared the code 2 time but keeps coming back, the engine runs fine, no hesitation, no issues whatsoever. So again why not pull the codes while the car is in the shop! It is the most efficient, most economic way to determine if your engine is about to blow up! Ford need to get their baggage together, When I take my Honda to the dealer they do everything! Maybe I should have gotten another one! My Sales Rep and the Customer Relations Manager have made me a believer that there is a select few companies in the area that can wooo the client. I tried to get an oil change on the weekend but it was a 2-3hr wait so they said to come back during the week and it would be slower. I went in on a Wednesday as soon as they opened. First of all they didn't have any sales associates at the doors and two cars that got there after me were helped before me in the other lane. Second of all the wait time ended up being over 2.5hrs for a simple oil change on a Wednesday morning which is ridiculous. I was never told that the wait would be this long. They knew I was waiting in the lobby trying to get it done before work and never said anything. Would not recommend this shop for service unless you have no where else to go and have a lot of time on your hands. Took another 10min just for them to pull my car around once it was done. read more

I normally don't go to dealerships for service. I had to take the truck in for a minor recall thing. I was pleasantly surprised at how well they took care if me. Alex handled it with ease. The service was to take most of the day so they offered a shuttle to take me home. When the truck was ready, they sent the shuttle back to pick me up. UPDATE: I appreciate the fact that you guys were able to fix an issue that I feel that a Chevy dealership could have fixed while I was getting an oil change. My only grip is not able to get ahold of someone the few times I called just for a quick update. I understand people can get busy but my calls weren't back to back but I allowed time to pass before calling again. Eventually, everything worked out and I didn't have to get new tires and Jerry was able to show me exactly where a nail was and why it was fixable. I'm sitting here at Shamaley Ford for the third time because the technicians could not do the work. I had a recall on the latches for my Ford Focus. I brought it to Shamaley and left my car there for over 8 hours. I thought they had fixed my car so I took it home. The next day, my son goes to get in the car and the handle completely falls off. With so much to do that day, I had to bring my car back to get it re-repaired. Well they repaired it 2 hours later. I leave again, and 15 minutes later I see a scratch on my rear door. I'm back at Shamaley Ford, missing work and Jesse, the service supervisor, dismisses my missed work as nothing. "Things happen sir" he tells me. I agree but they made these things happen. Been here 3 times for a recall on the roof rack. Each time they setup an appointment and every single time they don't have the part needed. Why have an appointment setup weeks in advance and not have the part? This last time they had it for the whole day before I had to call and then the guy Eduardo says oh, I was just informed we didn't have the parts. 8 hours had past and they barely realized they didn't have what was needed to fix this. I had to call just to get this information, not them. Terrible customer service. Took car in 3 times, spent over 6,000 dollars and car is even worse. DO NOT COME HERE!! My 2017 Ford Explorer broke down so I took it. I asked them to do whatever was needed including a full tune up, timing chain replacement and lots more. It came out to over 5,000 dollars which I expected. However, a few days later the check engine light came on again and same issues. I took it back and they charged me another 1,000 even though they said the work would be under warranty. I paid the 1000 and a few days later the check engine light came on again and issues seemed to be getting worse. I took it in for a 3rd time and now they are saying the entire engine needs to be replaced. For another 6,000. Bottom line is they are either incompetent or are greedy and rip people off. I hate to give bad reviews, but this cannot go unreported. 1-1/2 years ago Shamaley replaced the radiator in my E series. Great job, but the new radiator has now failed. I brought the truck back to get another radiator installed. The runner wasn't available to get a ride home. Dropped it off on Monday morning and told them how I was only in town for a week. Also my truck is my RV, so everyday it's in the shop I have to stay in a hotel adding to the repair bill. By Wednesday I was calling to get info on my truck, but whomever I talked to would have to "call me back." Never got a call. I called again Thursday afternoon, same result. Friday morning I went in and asked what was going on. We ended up going to the Service Manager and asked him for help to get my vehicle worked on. I needed some things out of my vehicle and it was parked out back in the lot where it had obviously been all week. By Friday afternoon I finally got the call that it needed a new radiator and one was ordered. We already knew that. I told them I needed my vehicle by Monday afternoon, and they said it would be worked on tomorrow (Saturday). Seemed dubious, but I kept my fingers crossed. Monday came and at 1pm I again let them know I needed the vehicle back at 6pm for a job the next day. They said they would "put it back together" for me. However when I received my vehicle back, after 8 days, it was clear it had not been touched. The car overheated several times while trying to get home to Las Vegas. My local NV dealership had put in a new engine in it in only 6 days last Oct. and risking frying that engine because the tech at Shamaley didn't feel like working on my truck, is unacceptable. A complete fail in every way, even despite my efforts to call everyday and keep pressure on them to do the job. Reading through these reviews it is apparent Shamaley needs new management. Since I actually need my vehicles to be repaired AND in a reasonable period of time, I will now be going to another Ford Dealer when working in El Paso. read more

I bought a 2020 brand new Ford Ranger. I hear squeaky sound from turbocharge at cold start since I bought the truck. It's a clear squeaky sound you can hear right away . I took there to service and I have been told that, there is a line about a week and I left my truck there a week. They didn't offer any shuttle or loaner car, they refused to give any. I requested a ride from my salesman I am thankfull to him. After a week they said, turbo needs to be replaced on the phone and I need to wait till the part comes, I said ok. Then I received a call saying that, squeaky sound is normal as long as any light on the screen doesn't put up. I said wow on the brand new car it's ok say that without any manner. "Sham-and-Wait" Ford took over 2.5 hours to get my Fusion's oil changed and tires rotated and balanced. My service rep Ms. Adria informed me that it would be 1 to 1.5 hour wait when I brought it in on-time before my 12:45 scheduled service. I did accept an offer for a shuttle however by the time i got back to my house and shuttled back it would have been roughly the same amount of time. Therfore I decided to wait at the shop instead. Two hours later my car is in the shop by itself looking lonely. I went to see Ms. Adria to get a status on my vehicle's progress. I was told it was taking so long because they only have 1x wheel balancer in the shop by a mechanic. However when talking to the Service Manager (Mr. Hernandez) immediately after this revelation I was told that the two hour wait is normal and they have two wheel balancers. Anyways...thirty minutes later i received my car and paid for the work. Surprisingly they forgot to check my tire pressure (I checked before rolling out of the parking lot) therefore I waited another 20 minutes to get nitrogen in my tires. Thanks??? Bottom line...thank you Ms. Adria and Mr. Hernandez at "Sham-and-wait" Ford for making Reason #347 why El Paso is so amaze-balls!!! Went to look at a used vehicle with the salesman Sall Hernandez during my lunch break. After the quick test drive, I got a call to head back to work for a last minute task. Which everyone who has served in the military knows all too well. I told Sall that I wanted the vehicle and explained my situation being in the military and made my offer as I left to head into work. He said no problem and he would be in contact with me. Sall comes back with a counter offer and I counter again over text messages after I left the dealership. Then, no communication from Sall and this "military friendly dealership". I then reach out to see after a couple of hours passed. I had to prod him, since he was obviously not interested in my business. We exchange a few texts and agree to a price. A true handshake deal. I was excited and called my bank to get a loan, which I was holding off on doing until I had a deal due to the credit hit of setting up a loan. Immediately after this, I get another short suspense task which prevents me from going down and completing the deal. I then call Sall and tell him this, and that I'm willing to put my down payment now over the phone to secure the vehicle. He then tells me if I can't get there now, that another customer has an appointment to look at the vehicle. I then explain my frustration of setting up a loan and the effect on my credit, but he doesn't care. The dealership doesn't care. I then have to again reach out to Sall Hernandez to get any response. Even though he said he would keep me informed. Sall and the not military friendly dealership come back to tell me they just sold the vehicle. So now my time and credit are wasted, while Sall and this price gouging dealer are making money. This is not a military friendly dealership, which is ironic being in a military town. read more

The Good. They bought my trade-in what I was asking. They lower the price of the car I was buying very close to what I wanted. The manager was nice and my salesperson Hugo was nice as well. A little forgetful but nice. The finance guy Michael was very nice as well and gave me a military discount for the extended warranty. The whole process sale was not pushed which is awesome. The Bad. They make you wait forever in everything. I waited for my salesperson Hugo to meet me after 22 minutes. He was busy because of the end of the month. Because it was the only Ridgeline available in El Paso I waited. Filling up papers took forever. By now dealers should have a digital way to put your information. They hand jam everything which makes the process tedious. Pay attention to the financing numbers and the contract. Remember all the agreements that the manager and salesperson do with you. They may put a closer number or numbers mentioned during negotiating. I'm glad that when I corrected 2 numbers because I did refer to the numbers agreed in a sales sheet that they'll bring you while negotiating. I called it the ballpark sheet. Because of that set, I was able to back up the deal with the agreed numbers. Sorry to hear that they had no detailing team, but apparently they acquired a new detailing team. Good for them and for future customers. They over charge me dealer fees and send me a check for $10 apologizing. The ugly. There is a salesperson that can be my dad that screams like a leopard while dancing old town road which it looks that is the national anthem of the dealership. It is kind of creepy. Funny but creepy. And there is Tim. A guy that can be my grandpa. He was staring at me and the finance manager while I signing the papers. I did not feel respected as a customer because he was trying to have some information about something else. He actually came in and because the finance manager told him that once he finishes with me he will get what he was asking (the right thing) then the guy stands there for about an hour. In grumpy position like a 5 year old. So funny but disrespectful, just like a kid. 3 months has elapsed and I haven't receive my tags and their excuse is because the covid tag agencies are closed and that's wrong. I bough a car lay month and I already received my title. They provide miss information. In General. Is fine to have a good deal there. However they need to understand that time and service of the customer is sacred. That's the key of selling. Absolutely the WORST customer service of any car dealership I've ever been to. Salesman sold me a brand new car and I expressed a couple days later that there were a few Issues with the new vehicle. He told me to bring it in. When I did take it the service advisor that he took me to had an attitude because I was telling him the problems with my vehicle and told me to bring it back on a Monday. So I waited until Monday and went back to the dealership. I called my salesman 3 times and was ignored each time. The 3rd call I made was from inside the dealership while I watched the salesman sit at his desk and ignore my call. The only reason I was calling him was to ask him the name of the Advisor he wanted me to go to. Completely unprofessional. All respect lost. My car decided to stop working on the interstate. I had it towed to a mechanic who said he fixed it only to have it do the exact same thing after not even ten minutes of driving. I then had it towed to another mechanic that I chose based on their excellent ratings. That mechanic ended up informing me that the problem with my car is covered by Ford and I needed to have it towed to the dealership. That leads us here - Shamaley Ford. Alissa was my service advisor and she was great - she even offered to keep in touch with me through text on her personal phone since she may not be by the business phone all the time. They got my car fixed, covered by a two-year/unlimited mile warranty, and I finally got to make the rest of my trip. The one thing I would say is for the people in the service department to maybe communicate better with one another. I had a guy call me a couple times saying/asking things that contradicted what I had already been told which made me nervous/stress about what was actually going on with my car - in an already stressful situation. read more

It took them over 2 months to let us know our license plates had arrived (our temps expired) and they had them on hand for a week before I was told to come pick them up. The service department is not interested in servicing your vehicle at all. They run you around in circles, pass you off to others, don't answer your questions, make excuses, and mess up the simplest of repairs. I would NOT recommend this facility to anyone.
