We were planning at eating…read moreTacos El Superior only to find out they didn't open until 11am My husband found this meat market that happened to have carnitas and birria. Smelled delicious just getting off the car, the gentleman behind the counter (only assuming he's the owner) beyond grateful for him, super patient with us as we were trying to figure out what to do, we explaining to him our situation and he went out of his was to chop up the carnitas so our boys could eat them in tacos. The lady behind the cashier also very helpful, we purchased a lemon and she was nice enough to cut it for us to it out asking. I can definitely see why they had a line of customers after us, very clean location, and more than friendly employees/owners - carnitas and birria were great!

Opened the door and was behind the counter in the butcher shop…read more OK, I'm game/ It's been awhile, but I still know how to cut meats. Hey guys...throw me a blade and I'll start cutting... I guess I entered their delivery door to the meat dept., but they didn't seem to mind. This place is a bit tiny, but it is very neat and have a good selection of meats. The place is clean and shelves are very neatly stocked and organized. And of course I must have been the cheapest buyer in the place. I spent a whole $1.94 for Square Gas foil burners for your stove. They're square aluminum foil to protect food from dripping onto your stove by the burners. I'm a guy, so that's the best I can do for identifying these. The cashier was cheerful and friendly and didn't mind me being a cheap spender. Place: 4 stars well stocked clean market Food: 4 stars meat department looks fresh Price: 4 stars excellent prices for quality / quanity Service: 5 stars friendly, fast and courtous Ambience:4 stars It's OK, just a very nice market Parking: 3 stars tight parking at times NOTE: They need to put a sign (On meat cutter's door) to use other door, so ya don't end up in the meat cutter area.

The owner and her daughter know our son by name and shower him with attention every time we come in for taco Tuesdays, fees like family. My son says it's his favorite spot so we always go back.

Larios Market was recommended to me by a wonderful fellow Yelper. You know who you are. Thank you!…read more I wanted to get guacamole, salsa, and chips for a team potluck lunch. I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

7:30PM June 19, 2026…read more Meat To Go! Do you like barbecuing? How about just making your own fresh dishes at home? Need something to make your hot pot or barbecue special? This is the place! Just keep in mind that everything is high quality & with high quality means you are spending extra cash money $$$. This lowkey spot is facing the north bound side of las tunas close to a dominoes pizza. In between Ardmore Dr & Santa Anita St. Across from a hospital(San Gabriel Medical Center) Right next to Dumplings To Go[They have good dumplings there too]. Parking should be easy on Las Tunas but if it looks packed then you can easily go to the back between Ardmore dr & Santa Anita behind dominos and walk around to their only entrance in the front. Once inside on your right you will see all the different choices of food from cuts like A5 Japanese Wagyu to lamb skewers. They also have tofu, mushrooms, condiments and other hotpot essentials. They accept both cash and card inside. No restrooms. Just buy what you like and go. All of their quality meats are your average tastiness; food tastes better than your regular grocery stores. During summer you can find their Summer Skewer Special only on Fridays Saturdays & Sundays in the back. I between believe their hours are 3PM-8PM some times they open later like 9PM CASH ONLY for this special time. I been coming here for two years for their ribeyes by snake rivers farm and angus prime. Well now since they started their skewers cook out, I had to suggest to them(last week) to have their Wagyu skewers. bomb! They specialize is fresh meat to go. You go in, pick the raw skewers you want from their huge selection, and they pack everything fresh for you. They've got a wide variety of meats and marinades, so it's easy to mix and match and try different flavors in one meal. Everything looks fresh and well seasoned, and once you get it on the grill it gives you that legit street BBQ skewer feel at home. It's perfect for gatherings or a weekend cookout because all the hard work is already done for you. The only downside is the price. It adds up pretty quickly, especially when you start grabbing multiple skewers because there are so many good options. Definitely more of a special occasion or group meal type of place rather than an everyday buy. Still, for the quality, convenience, and the variety they offer, it's a really fun and unique spot when you're craving skewers and want something different from the usual.
