This is a family owned and operated Mexican food restaurant I found on yelp. We came in got greeted at the door then sat at a booth we choose to start with some smoothies witch were amazing I got the mango and my wife got the green juice and the my oldest got a horchata and the lil one got a strawberry smoothie. The lady serving the table was polite and welcoming also very personable talking to my whole family. I like that they used the space in the building well having both tables and booths with a warm vibe inside. I got the mocahete which was great! The sauce was miles with bold flavor my wife got the pozole she was also impressed my grandma got the chili verde also liking her meal everyone overall was very happy there and we will be going back for sure!

The taste is an explosion of flavor, the temperature is nice and hot and the ambiance is so homey I love it so much! The service and kindness of the owner and employees at the location make me want to go back because of how welcoming and sweet they are. Strongly recommend, this place is definitely my go to for real authentic Mexican food.

The best camarones a la diabla I've ever had! Super spicy, as they should be!! I've been coming here for years, and the flavor is always consistently amazing. The chips are served warm, and the salsa is fresh, chunky, and full of flavor. My dad loves the chilaquiles and the chile relleno--they never disappoint. On top of the delicious food, the service is always friendly and fast. Highly recommend! read more

A family-owned hidden gem! The food is always flavorful, high-quality, and authentic. I'm a big fan of their chilaquiles, with their Huevos a la Mexicana a fantastic second. My friend yelped pozole near me and had good reviews :) We like to try different spots and try out for ourselves :) She ended up trying Menudo instead. She said it was good and price reasonable compared to other places. I got chilaquiles (green sauce) which came with eggs, rice and beans. Chips and salsa given to start. Salsa tasty and not spicy :) It's a small place but service was friendly and you can sit or take out. Don't let area throw you off. They are working on outside and some buildings empty in this shopping area. I would go back :) read more

It's very unfortunate to have to come on this app and give a horrible review. My father came to this restaurant ordering one thing and got another. He told me that they got him sick and he had constant diarrhea. When it was brought to the staffs attention on the phone, they just laughed and talked down upon my father saying that he's crazy and that he had mistaken the meal for something else. Was brought to their attention over the phone that we will be coming in for a refund. Again was disrespected by the front lady motion to customers that we are out of our mind and never seen us before or even got a phone call. After further review from my own perspective I came to see that my father was telling the truth. If you want great service and great food , I'd suggest you not to come to El Pueblo , unless you want diarrhea and staff being passive aggressive and talking down on their customers. read more

Covina's great lil spot for authentic Mexican food like abuelita used to make. It is small in seating but large in taste. Love their breakfast chilaquiles and afternoon taquitos. I recommend you try it; you'll love it! read more

My husband and I came here on a Saturday around 11 am. We wanted pozole so we researched pozole in the area. It was a small little place but it was busy. We didn't wait long. We were sat right away. The pozole was amazing. But not sure if they don't have enough staffing but from the looks of it the were 2 men( the cook, and the other man buy the register) and one waitress. It did take a minute for the waitress to take our order. Salsa and chips were delicious. Definitely be coming here for pozole. read more

First time visiting here. Stopped in for late lunch after finding on Yelp. Was greeted by staff and given table right away. My waitress was friendly and prompt in taking my order. Asked for menudo but was already sold by 2pm on Sunday. So I ordered the "cocido" as I was in mood for soup.cocido is a beef veggie soup. Comes with chopped onions, cilantro, Spanish rice, lemon slices, and tortillas. Had a great homemade flavor. Delicious & filling. Recommend if craving or desiring soups. Fire. Breakfast burrito with bacon was really good. I wouldn't mind a really spicy salsa option, but the salsas were still very good. Good fresh chips and salsa as well. I think the owners were working the front and the kitchen, they were very friendly. I will definitely be back. read more

Found this little hole in the wall because the original place we wanted to go to had a 40 min wait. We are so happy that we decided not to wait. This place was amazing. The food was delicious and the service was absolutely amazing. They served our party of 8 quickly and got all our special requests correct. Prices were also good. Some of the food we had: carnitas plate, chile verde plate, chicken fajitas, potato taquitos, mole enchiladas and chile relleno. Everyone loved their food. Will definitely come back. The waitress told us their specialty is menudo. To sum up, if you like you food quick, hot and delicious then this should be your next stop for Mexican. read more

My father's meal arrived significantly later than the rest of the table's, and basic needs--such as coffee refills for my mother and water for the table--were never addressed. No one checked in to see if we were satisfied with our meal at any point. Gratuity Policy: Regarding the 18% gratuity for parties of six or more, I completely respect the policy in principle. However, when the service does not meet basic expectations, being told I must pay a specific dollar amount--in this case, $40--feels intrusive. I am someone who genuinely enjoys leaving generous tips in cash to reward good service; being forced to pay a set amount for a subpar experience felt less like a gratuity and more like an unjustified surcharge. I believe your establishment is capable of much better. I hope you take this feedback into account to ensure future holiday guests receive the transparency and quality of service that originally made me a loyal customer.

She apologized deeply for our experience (EVEN THOUGH IT HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH HER) and was the only employee to show concern over our son getting hurt shoutout Litzy the only employee with a heart and good customer service. Families stay away from here all booths are wobbly and not secure, the spot is filthy. If something happens the staff is going to keep acting like they saw nothing. Better off going to McDonald's.
