    Super Tasty Halal Beef Pastrami

Pasha Market has the freshest produce around! Their butchers are super friendly and helpful and they have a wide selection of fresh meats and cheeses including fresh beef liver!! For a guy like me who isn't middle eastern, I'm happy to say this market still makes me feel welcomed and offers the widest variety of every grocery item you could possibly need.

All types of pita at a great price.

I was on the hunt for some legit pita bread. Ding, ding, ding, ding. Pasha Market is the place to come to. It's an International grocery store for European, Middle Eastern, and Indian foods. I found pita bread of all different sizes from small, medium, and jumbo. It was at a great price too. I found a variety of hummus flavors. Even found garlic butter spread. This stuff is like crack. The employees were very helpful. Didn't have much time to browse around but I will sure be back when I have more time.

This is my go to store for all middle eastern foods, especially the meats are always fresh and great quality cuts, the grass fed lamb shoulder is my favorite! Great and friendly service from the guys at the meat and deli counter. The produce selection, cleanliness and freshness is always there.

    Middle Eastern market

My kiddos love Middle Eastern food, so my hub is learning to cook some Middle Eastern dishes (very basic) . However, this is the place to come and buy your seasons meats, your garlic spread, hummus, rice, pitas and salad oils. Honestly. it doesn't look like much from the outside but ever since some of our middle Eastern friends come here, and highly recommend their meat market ... we haven't stopped coming here to buy the chicken .... Try it! You won't be disappointed, and worth the drive.

I got rave reviews on these items that they are super good at Larios so here I am to confirm. This market is located at the corner of Barranca Ave and Arrow Highway in Covina. It's actually a meat market, but they sell produce and other food/dry items plus hot foods. It's a very small place with maybe 3-4 tight aisles. I went straight to the refrigeration area. I saw lots of different salsas and a handful of guacamole. At first glance, the appearance of the guac did not look appealing to me. It looked brown and kind of watery at the top. I was hesitant to get them, but since they were recommended, I got 3 of them. Now looking back, I should have only gotten one just to try them. It was not that great IMHO. Maybe they were not made that day and have been hanging around for a day or so. However, the roasted red salsa was really really good... I would highly recommend this one. Pico de gallo was decent. Crab ceviche was just okay... too much of the V8 taste. I ended up buying 6 containers and spent over $50 on guac and salsa. Probably more than I need. I didn't bother with the chips as they look more on the oily side. Anyway, staff was nice and helpful. Check out was fast as it wasn't super busy at the time. Parking is limited. They do have a few tables and stools outside in front of the market for those who want to eat here after their food purchase. I'm not sure if I would come back for the guac, but I may come back for the roasted red salsa and possibly their tacos and burritos.

I specifically watched this occur while my order was being prepared, when I asked her if she changed gloves her response was " I have extra gloves here" I asked again if she switched gloves while handling different meats and she said she can re do my trays again. Afterward, I called the store and spoke with a manager named Liz, who told me they had been advised by the health department that employees did not need to change gloves between handling different raw meats. That response was surprising to me. Under the California Retail Food Code, food employees are required to prevent cross contamination of food, and single use gloves must be changed whenever contamination could occur and may not be used for multiple tasks without proper handwashing and glove changes. Specifically, California Health & Safety Code §§ 113961 and 113973 address preventing contamination and the proper use of single-use gloves. Based on what I personally witnessed, I did not feel confident that proper cross-contamination prevention practices were being followed. Separately, my brother became seriously ill after consuming food purchased there and was later diagnosed with a Salmonella infection. I cannot say with certainty where the infection originated, but given what I observed, I felt it was important to share my experience. What makes this especially disheartening is that I genuinely love the food here and have been a customer because of the quality of the products they sell. I wanted to continue supporting this business, but after witnessing these food handling practices and receiving the response I did when I raised my concerns, I no longer feel confident that proper food safety precautions are being followed. I sincerely hope management takes these concerns seriously and reviews its practices to ensure customer safety.
