It's not very big in size but it is filled with all kinds of specialty items, like fresh spinach and cheese pies, fresh bread, Halal gummy bears & other candies imported from Turkey (which my kids love), chips that bring back memories of Syria, high quality olive oil and Za'tar and more! There's a great vendor in the back who sells fresh roasted nuts and raaha from Syria. And the meat is consistently high quality zabiha cuts and reasonably priced. I just wish they had more butchers or meat handlers working bc there's always a long wait for fresh meat. I'd also like to see their produce be a bit more affordable and fresh. Pasha market in Covina Ca has an on-going issue on aisle-space and old large baskets to navigate in those aisles- and on top, workers blocking the vegies area space. I have been stuck few times in lane when one basket is behind and one basket in front and a worker in front of that. Some customers take long TIME picking each piece of OKRA OR BITTER GOURD plus their basket blocking the way and they do not move. So I had to go in reverse, but too bad one is appraching from that direction - what a MESS! Pasha has grown their business by three fold approximarely but not the space. Also grown are the prices. Glendale, Irvine, and Westwood have the real deal, so finding Pasha Market in Covina felt like a small victory. Walking in, I was hopeful because the shelves really do carry a wide variety of the items you expect to see: spices, breads, sweets, teas, and enough pantry goods to make you think you stumbled on a hidden gem. At first glance, it looks like the kind of place where you could do a good amount of specialty shopping without leaving town. The food selection is there but the execution is questionable. The refrigerators had so much condensation it made me stop in my tracks. I don't usually play inspector when I'm shopping, but when water is running down the inside of a fridge door I can't help but think about food safety. It gave me the impression that maybe the equipment is shut off at night or not properly maintained. That might not be true, but perception matters, especially when we're talking about meat and dairy. My Persian partner, who has been here before, summed it up perfectly when he said, "Now you know why I don't shop here." The ambience was where things really took a turn. As closing time approached, about five people loudly announced that the store would be shutting down in ten minutes. Not a polite reminder over a speaker or a friendly heads up, but literally yelling across the store. To make it more confusing, the nut counter inside the business had already closed before eight, so even though the store was technically open, parts of it weren't. That left the whole place feeling unorganized and a little chaotic. Then came the most shocking part. While customers were still shopping, the staff turned off the lights. Picture being in an aisle and suddenly it goes dark because they want you out. Not only does that feel rude, it's a serious safety concern. If someone has vision impairment or even if you just trip over a basket, that could go very wrong. No customer should ever feel like they're being shoved out of a store with the flip of a switch. Service didn't redeem the situation either. Everything felt cold and purely transactional. I was chatting with my friend on the way out about how strange the lights were, and I'm pretty sure the owner or manager overheard from his car parked right in front. There was no acknowledgment, no apology, not even a raised eyebrow. Just silence, which somehow made the whole thing feel even worse. It confirmed the vibe that this is not about building relationships with customers, it's about getting the money and moving on. So here is my take. Pasha Market has the products to lure you in once, especially if you live nearby and want to avoid a drive. But the off atmosphere, the questionable refrigerators, the yelling, and the lights-out stunt make it a place I'd rather skip. If I ever come back, it will be during the day, but honestly I'd rather just drive to Glendale or Irvine where the markets feel safer, more authentic, and actually welcoming. read more

I found pita bread of all different sizes from small, medium, and jumbo. It was at a great price too. I found a variety of hummus flavors. Even found garlic butter spread. This stuff is like crack. This review is strictly for the meat department. I spend a lot of money every week in this store and I have never had any issues. This Hispanic man in the meat department was SO rude and when I told him to change the piece he cut for me he got so nasty ignored what I said and told me if I don't like it to come back a different day!!!! Really?! That's how you treat customers?! Just To clarify this man is NOT Joshua Joshua is actually amazing and deserves a raise. He's super professional and friendly and does a great job every time I am there. This other guy is maybe his supervisor he was definitely acting arrogantly and bossing people around. Pasha market is located in a shopping center diagonal from the Glendora Public Market. It doesn't look like much from the outside but the the inside is huge and has so many fun things to shop for. I am not a regular in middle eastern grocery shopping but there was so much from so many regions. They have different varieties of rice, frozen foods, seasonings and sweets. Even Korean snacks! I bought some chicken kebab and tandoori chicken legs from the butcher area. I grilled them outside and we had a really yummy dinner. Great place for exploring Middle eastern/south Asian cuisine! I was finally able to find dettol!! Everyone I encountered was super nice. Ambiance was great, I was able to wander the aisles peacefully with my 3 month old. Reasonably priced meats, I got 3 pounds of marinated chicken breast kabobs for less than $10. i also picked up my favorite yogurt drink in a gallon jug. It's super clean, fairly large, and has all the spices, herbs, meats, and middle eastern snacks you can think of. This market has a Halal deli, with a small variety of meats, lunch meats, olives, and cheeses . Frozen aisle has turkey/beef bacon, hot dogs, frozen meats/ meals etc. Good selection of drinks/milks/yogurts, fresh breads, cooking oils, and a lot of spices. The fresh produce is okay, they have delicious ice creams in a small freezer by the entrance on the produce side. I love the nut mixes, especially the coated chickpeas (reminds me of the japanese peanut coating). My guilty pleasure if the big cookie and candy section! They have a small middle eastern candy part in the back by the breads, and a cookie/gummy candy isle by the frozen/drinks. I signed up for their weekly newsletter so I can look out for deals, I recommend you do that if you want to grab good deals and sales. The parking lot has plenty of space, and a lot of other small stores around this market so it's a nice place to walk around. My recommendations for the candy, and cookies/biscuits are the loaker cocoa milk biscuit wafer, loacker coconut wafer coated in white chocolate, and the harbaro gummy passport and legend mix (halal gummies). A convenient place with many stores within less than a mile like Target, Trader Joe's, etc. Came here to try out their Halal meat and we haven't look back since. Fresh meat that always turns out tender and delicious when we cook them. Plenty of meat options, butcher service and AMAZING staffs. The store is always clean and items are well stocked. There are plenty of food choices from all around the world to choose from and I always feel like a girl in a candy store here. They also sell fresh Mediterranean sweet treats like baclavas at the front of the store. If you venture towards the back corner of the store, they have a vendor that sells yummy Turkish delights and nuts. My favorite is the Rose petals and pistachios. read more

The products are fine like always but the person in charge at meat department is so ignorant and does what he wants to, not what the customers. My wife gave the instructions but he insists it as he wishes. She asked hime for 20 pieces of chicken legs and he cuts 10 and says that it's 20. I don't understand his motives but I know it's not right. I have been going to this place and I have never such rude manner from any one except him. I usually buy from this establishment some groceries, last week I went and I purchase Persian cucumbers, when I got home I washed them and cut couple of them to eat with my salad, I was shocked.
