One the cutest bubble tea spot in queens. Vivi and taro bubble tea was worth the try, bubbles quality was good !

Considering all boba shops popping up all throughout Flushing, it's hard to consider Vivi as a major contender even if it is a more well known chain internationally. I feel like I've been to better Vivi locations even from within the borough, but though it all, it remains a solid bubble tea option. As what is likely the most popular business in Friendship Plaza, Vivi has the most visible spot, which just happens to be out front. The stall is tiny, with zero seating and totally a takeout operation, aka pandemic friendly. Their drink menu is so big that it can get overwhelming. I prefer the classic milk tea, as well as their taro slush. Many of the drinks feel bland'ish despite all the creative flavors / combos they have. They allow for custom sugar levels, have a loyalty punch card, and the staff is fairly quick at making drinks. Take that, long wait.

Who wants to Vivi forever? Well we kinda do. We are big fans of all kinds of boba chains and some have really good products and some of them are less good... if we're talking about milk teas, Vivi isn't amazing, but for fruit teas, some of the drinks are amazing at Vivi. This one in the heart of Flushing is pretty good - it's just a tiny little place and not one of my favourite locations but still cute and cool to have it right here in the heart of Flushing and I especially recommend their fancy fruit drinks with black tea.

The signature drink is my fave. It has so much flavor and everything just taste perfect. It a really nice balance with all that it has going on. I also really like the taro milk tea with boba. Boba is soft, warm & fresh. They have a machine & you can customize your drink to your liking. The only one I don't recommend well is the slush. It's a really pretty drink and taste good but just basically ice lol. Service is fast and welcoming. Place is pretty small but they have 3 seats & is very clean.

Since I was mailing packages at the post office nearby, I stopped by ViVi to try their famous, beautiful Blue Galaxy drink. The employees were nice, and since I was in a hurry, one of them even offered to put my drink in a cute, sturdy, travel-friendly bag. Even if I wasn't taking the drink to go, I didn't see much space for sitting. As for the décor, so much pink and so many skulls! I loved the cheeky sign on the column that warns people not to steal. The drink itself was a bit too acidic for me. Too much lemon/lime? After getting to work (a 5-minute walk away), the color had changed from blue to pink. While I was a bit disappointed, I have heard that the color comes from the ice, and naturally as the ice melts, the color disappears too. Maybe in the future, I'll try another one of their signature drinks and see if it tastes better.

Not a bad little spot in the heart of Flushing Queens (on Main Street between Sanford and 41). It's located in the front of one of the many mini malls in the area. The location is basically just a counter. No seating and barely and room to order. On the plus side the bubble tea was tasty. I ordered the passion fruit. It's pleasant tasting and has what I believe are little tapioca beads inside (edible). A medium drink will run you about 5 bucks but it's definitely worth a try.

Stumbled upon The grand opening while getting dumplings and have never tried Vivi bubble tea before so figured why not. It's a small little shop like all the others in flushing located at the front entrance of one of the numerous valley malls of flushing.. you really can't miss it. The staff is nice and friendly and pretty quick with the drinks... but then again I was there when there was no line towards the end of a day. Decided to try the galaxy blue and what a refreshing and not too sweet drink! It's essentially a slushy with a mix of flavors that go well together. Noticed they had something called Sakura balls but were out for the day so perhaps that's something to try for next time. All in all will be back especially since it's in the same gallery as my fav dumpling shop.

Yes! A brand new bubble spot joining here at Flushing. This is my first favorite bubble tea spot when I visited Chinatown many many years ago. I remember a year ago or so, a Vivi did opened up inside the New World mall but then soon it closed up not long after and it was gone like that. So, I am so happy this cute pink spot is now here again and hope it will be hanging around for a long time! Not sure when their exact grand opening day was, but when I came by 2 weeks ago, they had the grand opening "FREE up size" promo where you buy the medium size and get the large. This was awesome deal since Vivi are known to be more pricy than other bubbles tea places but its worth it!!! They have so many choices and the drinks that I tried were: Vivi bubble milk tea, taro, coconut, and Tiramisu milk tea this is my favorite !!! I was bit worried at first how it will taste but the flavor truly blow me away. It was so delicious and I love it. No wonder it is one of their Top 10 drinks list! The location is bit out of my way but I will definitely come by when I want to treat myself once in a while. And last but not least the staff here were friendly and provided great service. (they speak fluently Chinese and English!)

One of my fav drink at Vivi is the passion fruit green tea, no sugar. This branch makes it really good. Quick service.

In the cold and raining night, I was craving for a hot tea and bubble after dinner. I saw the store on Main Street with an attractive interior design and pinky sign. I was debating of what to order and then ask the store ppl. I was surprised with their expertise in recommendations of what to drink based on my preference. I got this hot fruit/herbal tea with cherry bubble (new menu) and it was tasty! I strongly recommend this Vivi bubble tea store if you have a chance to visit this location or any in your neighborhood.

When you get lucky, Legend Chicken is the best fried chicken in New York City and the closest thing to actual Taiwan you'll find here ...the cutlet, the popcorn chicken, real night-market flavor, an easy 7/10. But it's a gamble. Run into the rude staff and it falls apart: they won't even acknowledge you, they look miserable, and the chicken comes out overcooked and dry. It sometimes it feels like one of those gimmick restaurants where they're rude on purpose, except it's not a joke. Ok, ok. I figured it out…read more So our local Chinese language school in Northern New Jersey would frequently order mass delivery from a restaurant in Flushing called OK Canaan. Of course, we expect the school to choose only the highest quality restaurants to order delivery from, and yes, it was quite good, considering that it was delivery that was lugged all the way from Flushing and ultimately had to be reheated in the microwave. Come this past weekend, we decided to plan a whole day trip to Flushing to visit Flushing Meadows Corona Park and eat some good Taiwanese and Chinese food. We search Yelp and we come across this place, OK Ryan. The restaurant is small and cozy, but packed a big bite. We had Taiwanese Beef Noodle Soup, Pork Chop lunchbox, Oyster Pancake, Pork Intestine Vermicelli, Taiwanese Sausage, and Golden Red Bean Pancake. Everything authentic and delicious. Oyster Pancake was probably the best I've had for a very long time - it was filled with oysters, not too doughy, not too saucy. Beef noodle soup had excellent depth of flavor and the meat was tender and delicious. We ordered way too much food and took a bunch of it home. Found out that the restaurant was cash or Venmo only. So I take out my phone and Venmo the bill. But wait, my Venmo app did not register OK Ryan as a new restaurant. In fact, it said I had paid this restaurant several... times.... before. Cue the freak out. Who hacked my Venmo account to buy Taiwanese food?? OK, so obviously, OK Ryan and OK Canaan are one and the same. Good for delivery, but now we know, much better in person. We'll try the real OK Canaan next time.

We came on a weekend dinner and surprisingly there was a lot of people before 5:15pm and no one really afterwards. I really appreciate all the Taiwanese decorations in their restaurants and the circular tables which I haven't experienced in a bit. In general, their menu was pretty amazing as it had all the Taiwanese hits that one could want and I seriously couldn't choose! - Braised Pork Rice Lunchbox - Absolutely loved the vegetables in this dish, it really reminded me of the the railroad lunch boxes you get in the train station. I think the braised pork was okay as there wasn't a lot of meat and it was a bit heavy on the fat. - Taiwanese Chicken Cutlet - I was a bit confused on first look of this chicken because they had some rick crackers stuck to the outside of it. I'm not sure if that's the way it's supposed to be but at least the flavors were spot on as it was ultimately crispy on the outside with a bit of spice and juicy on the inside. Probably the best dish of the night. - Pork Intestine Vermicelli - I've never had this dish before in the states so I was interested to see how this would turn out and it was actually a lot better than I thought. The flavors were pretty on point and the cleaned out the intestine well. I probably wouldn't order the lunchbox again, and although no dish extremely WOW-ed me, their breadth of Taiwanese dishes is pretty amazing and I will be back!

Luckily, there was only a short wait for our party of two at around 12pm...but I suspect the wait can be much longer later in the afternoon or during peak dinner times. Once your number is called, you go up some stairs to the eating/tabled area. There are tables and chairs for 2, 4 and more guests throughout the large space. The pace of the restaurant is very fast...as soon as you are seated, you are given tea and your waiter comes over right away to take any order you are ready to give. Its helpful to ask for a menu while you are waiting for a table so you know what to order when asked. We had some soup dumplings as well as a (large) soup. Everything was very good and out in about 15 minutes...very fast. The soup dumplings were great...but as expected are filled with piping hot broth so be careful when eating. They have some other appetizers and dishes available. There are also some drink options including cold teas, soft drinks and beer. Overall a great experience...despite visiting on a busy Saturday, we were in and out in about 40-45 minutes. Street parking can be tough in the area but there are a few garages around...one of the more reasonable options is the garage at the Skyview shops which currently charge about $6 for up to three (3) hours and is a short 5 minute walk away.

My eyes lit up when I saw the menu. The owners are from Tainan, Taiwan which is often consider the culinary capital of Taiwan with many iconic traditional dishes and flavors. The restaurant is spacious but it does not have many table seatings (3-5 tables?). When we came it wasn't busy so we got a spot but we did see many people coming in for their takeout orders. The oldies they play at the restaurant take me back to my childhood. The place is structured very interestingly where it's an open kitchen so you can actually easily see how they prep the food in the back. We ordered: - oyster omelette pancake - mung wort kueh (4 pieces) - danzai noodle - mixed spice platter The oyster omelette was the highlight! The bottom is crispy and they use a generous amount of oysters. It's the most authentic oyster pancake I've had in the east coast. Alot of other "Taiwanese spots" don't make it correctly. I also love the mung wort kueh (hard to find places that sell this) - it's a fun snack to take to go. It's a savory mochi bun with shredded radish as the main ingredient. The danzai noodle is an iconic dish from Tainan. Its main star consists of the one shrimp and the marinated ground braised pork. Although I would prefer the dry version but they serve the soup version here. The broth tastes very clear and clean, doesn't feel like it's dosed with salt and MSG. We got the mixed platter - an iconic street food in Tainan is 滷味 (Lou Wei) which is consist of different ingredients tossed and braised in a soy-based spice sauce. They have a nice selection of Lou Wei options and the platter we got had pork belly, duck neck, tofu skin, and lotus roots. The spicy duck neck can be intimidating for those that have never had it but it is fun to eat. There are so many items on there that I can't wait to try. For first timer, definitely get the oyster pancake and Luroufan! I can't wait to come back and try more of the traditional Taiwanese dishes. They also have frozen dumplings that you can buy to go. 50 pieces for $28-$30 is a pretty good price!
