This place was recommended by my hub's coworkers and we wanted to see what it was all about. We stopped by on the weekend, spoke with the owner, Erik, and asked about pricing, PPF options, and window tinting. He was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything in detail. One of his colleague showed us examples of work completed by his team. I was skeptical at first because I'm a loyal customer of a well-known auto shop. However, since this business was just starting out and they assured us they would address any issues if we weren't satisfied, we decided to give them a try. We had ceramic PPF installed and tinted windows throughout the vehicle, except for the roof. I'm happy to say that we were absolutely thrilled with the results. They wrapped the film around the edges of the vehicle panels to provide an extra layer of protection and create a seamless look. While I can see some of the PPF edges in certain areas, you really have to look closely to notice them. Another great benefit of the way they installed the PPF is that we can now safely power wash the vehicle -- something we were hesitant to do with our other two vehicles because they weren't wrapped the same way. Needless to say, we are extremely happy with the outcome from Vivid Auto Details. Their pricing was excellent, and the turnaround time was reasonable as well. I've had my cars PPF and tinted at many places over the years and was looking to find a place that actually goes through all the small details. Erik and team went beyond my expectations when it came to the work. They also took pictures of the process and progress which I was glad to see because I saw what kind of skills and details went to doing the installation. I had full front PPF, rocker panel PPF, A-Pillar PPF, all around tint and ceramic coating done on my wife's brand new Tesla and my wife was extremely pleased with the work that was done. I had her previous Tesla PPF somewhere else that she wasn't too happy about it but here she was happy (which makes me happy because she would give me a hard time later about it lol.) Overall the process took about three days and we are happy with the results. They took the trim pieces off to wrap the PPF which is how a place should do it, so 10 out of 10 for that. I did a Yelp search requesting service on widow tint for my 2012 Honda Accord and got quotes from various shops in the area however, Vivid seemed the most professional to me. Rus did an excellent job explaining everything in detail to me about the different styles of tint offered and the associated features and values. They performed a full window tint on all the windows and the windshield using Ceramic tint. The car looks and feels amazing. My air conditioner isn't struggling anymore to keep up with Sacramento / Elk Grove summer heat anymore. I was actually able to turn my air conditioning off after reaching an ideal temperature as the car now holds cold and rejects outside heat much better now. It took a few days for the bubbles in the tint to go away, but I was reassured that if they ever reappear it will covered under warranty for replacement for life! I will be recommending Vivid to everyone! I haven't had my car detailed in at least 5 years. I reached out for a quote on their website and got a response within a matter of hours. Erik asked for some photos of my car to get an idea of the cost and gave me a VERY REASONABLE quote. I was able to get on the schedule within the next week. I dropped my car off in the morning and was told it would be ready by 5 pm. When I didn't have time to pick it up that night, they let me leave it there overnight. 2ND UPDATE REVIEW / PICS Hopefully my last time coming in with my car to save them the headaches and trouble I've been giving them. Originally came in to finish the vinyl process but noticed a bit of glue residue on my passenger window they went out of their way and replaced that as well. I've added two photos (would add more but I'm too picky on how to take photos without it looking weird). Hopefully next time I visit them with a new car to get serviced by them or perhaps their other services they provide! 1ST UPDATED REVIEW / 5 Stars Vivid Auto Details (Erik) saw my original review and immediately reached out to me to resolve my concerns and issues about the previous job we settled on (the original job was great but not perfect due to me rushing them so the blame does not fall on them!). We had set another appointment to redo some windows (mainly the rear window and passenger rear window). I believed that they were just doing those two because I literally could not see any imperfections on their work the first time (I'm particularly nit-picky about how I treat my car) but Erik went above and beyond to just entirely redo the whole car! I was genuinely surprised to hear that Erik and his team redid the whole car when I believe we settled on the planned agreement. I was incredibly concerned on how the Dot Matrix would come out as the RSX tends to have a larger area for them and Erik gave me multiple options to see what I would prefer. Ultimately I chose to vinyl wrap it entirely and he also informed me about what I should do and has set another appointment to fully give off that clean tint look. Erik questioned how far I live and my address. Confused, I asked,"Address? I can just come to the shop for our next appointment." Not knowing, it was a 10 minute appointment and he wanted to do a mobile appointment. I was grateful he offered but I chose to just come in as I have gave them an inconvenient job with my car. I purchased a truck recently that had several issues with the paint but Erik was able to fix most of them. He was transparent with what he can and cannot do regarding the paint correction. It's an old truck so I don't expect perfection but he was able to refer me to people who fixed the rusting roof and dent for a reasonable price. Do not take your high-end vehicle to Vivid Auto Details. Eric damaged both front leather seats in my Porsche Cayenne during a detailing service due to a malfunctioning steamer. He admitted fault but did not carry adequate insurance to cover the repair through Porsche, the only repair route I trusted to properly restore the seats with OEM leather, proper stitching (for airbag deployment), and correct airbag calibration. Instead, he tried to refer me to a friend's upholstery shop which we were not willing to trust with a safety-critical repair on a luxury vehicle. His insurance only covered up to $5,000, leaving us with an $8,000 out-of-pocket bill on a $13,000 repair through Porsche. To make matters worse, Eric has since stopped responding to calls and texts to come up with a plan to make this right.
