We called to set up an appointment and were offered a slot the following morning. We were kindly greeted by Justin, the installation technician. Justin and his partner conducted a complete walk through of our 1200 sqft home and offered suggestions on where to put motion sensors, door and window monitors, and signs/stickers. I'm not sure what you're used to but I was very impressed with the door sensors. Justin and his partner drilled a hole about the size of a nickle into the inside frame of our front and back door and inserted a sensor. His partner came through with a vacuum to clean up the wood shavings from the door. There are no wires or cords to fuss with or visible sensors on top of the door, but a small sensor on the inside of the door that you can only see, if you're really looking for it. Justin also told us where the best place to put our motion sensor and window monitors as well. One of the coolest things is the pad to control everything. It literally looks like an iPad. It is very user friendly and looks awesome! We also received two key fobs to secure our home while we are away and enter when we return without setting the alarm off. Moving on to the prices. The website has different packages you can choose to fit your needs. Our entire package was $45.00/ month for three years and there was a $69.00 installation fee. This included door sensors, window sensors, motion detector, 2 key fobs, 2 signs, a sheet of window stickers, and installation. I think this is a very reasonable deal for our piece of mind and sense of safety. I loved the customer service offered, and how well everything works. It is fast, efficient, and effective.

I have been a loyal customer of Alarm Link for over 10 years and have recommended them to many…read moreothers during that time. Unfortunately, that loyalty was not reciprocal. Alarm Link moved their customers over to Alert 360, and when that partnership apparently soured, they severed ties and completely abandoned their long-term clients without a single word of notice. This transition left me stranded with a company (Alert 360) that now claims they cannot service my area and has unilaterally canceled my service. It is deeply disappointing to see a local company you've trusted for a decade drop their responsibilities and leave their customers to fend for themselves. I can no longer recommend Alarm Link to anyone.

I have had ADT for 1.5 years. Then I decided to cancel for poor performance on their part. The…read moremonthly rate is going up to $74 and I disputed the change in writing as per the contract. I never received a reply to my dispute. So, again per the contract, I should not have to pay a termination charge. In calling ADT to cancel, I was told that there was a cancellation fee of just over $1400 dollars. By my calculations of time left on the contract and the monthly payment, I have $1332 left on the contract. In addition, the contract states that I only have to pay 75% of that amount or $999. After being on the phone for hours this morning I finally got to a person who knew something. ( Their customer service phone number sends you to India first) I don't know what the resolution will be but was told that the buy out would be less than was originally stated. Long story short, don't go with ADT! They don't honor their contract and will give you a several hour run around when you dispute their conclusions.
