DO NOT GET THIS SERVICE. This system is not one you can trust with the safety of your belongings or loved ones. My experience has been horrible. I spent $4,000 to secure a 3 bedroom townhome. I've only had the service for less than 2 months, yet there's been two occasions when I've come home while the alarm was set and opening my door did NOT trigger the alarm. Another time, the alarm went off when I wasn't home and no doors or windows were opened. This system has proven to not secure my home. Also, a third door sensor went offline LESS THAN 24 HOURS after the installation. This is my second home so for weeks my home was not secure because they cannot trouble shut faulty equipment if no one is at the property. Once fixed when I returned, it happened again as soon as I left town...leaving my house unsecured for another two weeks. To make matters worse, the guy who installed the equipment messed up a sensor to my garage door which required me to pay a third party company to fix it! Vivint refused to reimburse me. And the cherry on top is that I financed the equipment and despite the clear examples that I've been RIPPED OFF, they tell me that I'd have to pay off the equipment ($4,000) in order to cancel the service. In a piss poor attempt to make things right, they told me they would send a tech out first thing in the morning because I was leaving town that afternoon and I stressed that these issues needed to be fixed before I left........and no one showed up or even called. To say I've been scammed is an understatement. A COMPLETE SCAM! Learn from my mistake. DON'T LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY! But yet sunday around 630 my child walk oit to patio to feed his dog as he walked out a guy was walking in our pool area my son is having a hard time with feeling safe in his own home i called vivnt and talked to a julian and mike i got nowhere i was told if i want a tech i would have to pay a 199.00 for them to come out and then was told they cant do a goodwill credit like really i didnt ask for that all i wanted was my system to work keep my family safe but nope but i can pay 3500 to have camera and panel just for show im so upset over tbis tgey should say you will be safe and your not and on top of it customer service what is that but yet they sit there take calls just to get paid what if the situation went the other way Vivint thank you for keeping my family safe read more

there was a thief in my front door 3 am i ask from help from vivivnt through panel 10 feet away from my door and the lady on the other side of the phone would not lower her voice after i ask her many time to speak softly so the guy got away by the time police arrive I imagine he was scared because there was an steric woman screaming inside the house. so frustrating dealing with this company i can regret getting this security sistem read more

So we had to stick out our contract. Think fulfilling the contract and canceling would be easy? No. We've been trying to cancel this for over a MONTH now. Each time they try to pass us off to other departments or give us the runaround and have given us different dates for our contract end date despite us having an actual contract with an end date. From day one, Door to door sales person tells me I'd be paying like 30-40$ a month. When I sign the contract I realize it's 79$. I confront her, and explains that the money I save on electricity from the thermostat being adjustable will save me money to compensate. I still got. Fulfilled my contract for 2 years and now was paying month to month. I moved, called vivint to move the product, and instead of just moving, they started a new 5 year contract without me knowing. Now here I am 2 years later moving again and trying to cancel and they want to charge 1500$ cancelation fee. On my last move the technician was suppose to get the equipment to reinstall and they never showed, so now the new owners won't let us get the equipment. I paid for extra sensors so every window was covered, at 25$ a windows, for about 8-9 windows, and they are saying sorry, we'll replace 4 sensors and whatever other equipment was lost. I do not recommend this company to anyone. They lowered my payment to 49$, and I don't even have the equipment installed - 22 more months. read more

Very sneaky company they taken more money than they were authorized to from 26.00 to 53.00 . When I called they said it was the regular price,I then said cancel service stop taking money out of my account then they did it again. They claim my contract said they get a 30 day notice but I don't see that on my contract. Shame shame good luck if you deal with them read more

STOP - they are the worst. They employ sales people, charge to much, and refuse to give you the right to cancel when it doesn't work. This company/system is terrible. We purchased this system from Best Buy about 11 months ago and after a couple months it has been nothing but a headache. Our system is offline more than it's on. Rebooting cameras doesn't always work. The front door lock goes offline as well. I had to pay $200 for a service call that did not fix the issue. They wanted me charge me again for a service call. Half the people I've spoken to were helpful. The other half were clueless. One lady actually argued/screamed at me! Seriously? At this point I'm not even sure this system is reliable to protect our family. We have the NEST attached to the system as well and that's a joke! Stay away,....check out RING. We love our RING doorbell and wish our VIVINT system worked as good as our RING. read more

I have had Vivint for well over a year and I am very satisfied. It is very reassuring to check on the status of our home when we are away. Visual confirmation is a great way to say "all is well at Home". I would recommend Vivint for anyone wanting wireless, dependable home security. read more

I had a system installed on 3/28. That was almost three weeks ago. It never worked properly from the start. I put in multiple requests for service. They stated the first available was in December. My last call was elevated to a manager. I did get the service appointment moved up to June 6th. Wow, that's much better. I only have to wait two months to get a service appointment for my system that is supposed to be providing security for the life and safety of my family. I do not recommend this company to anyone. In fact I recommend you run from it. read more
