Wow! I have never reviewed Vivios? Crazy. This was a common spot for us to meet up at. It's funny though we realized we had not been here in quite a long time. We decided to meet for an early dinner after work today and he had a coupon for free tacos so why not? The deal was a free taco meal of your choice with the purchase of a meal of equal value. We decided to both get tacos and share them. He got the fish tacos with a side of bam bam sauce and I got the regular tacos. One chicken one beef. You could purchase either two or three but thankfully the waitress said they were pretty big. The tacos come with either beans or chips. I don't like beans so got the chips. The tacos were delicious! I didn't try the fish one though as we both ate one of our own and we're too full to eat the second one of each other's. Haha. They have given the place a face lift since we have last been here. There are also more beers on tap. We have literally never had a bad meal here. One of my very favorites is their shrimp pizzas. I am not really a huge pizza fan. I mean I like it and all but don't go out of my way to get it. But this pizza is fantastic! I highly recommend it. read more

I have been going here for a few years now. Mostly for the menu. The daily specials are listed as soon as you walk in on large boards. Many options with both food and drink are on them. Even though the pizza was half off the day I went there, I got the chicken strip meal. Large perfectly breaded pieces, almost enough for two people. Wow this is Warrens most slept on secret for those of you who've never found it! About a year ago me and my Buddy's met up once and had really good tacos from there and drinks. Well today I decided to order a pizza delivered. I chose the supreme plus dark olives and was blown away with the taste and the crust! It reminded me of Cloverleaf pizza crust to the Tee, but the toppings and sauce were different in a good way. Not saying any is wrong with Cloverleaf at all but if you don't want to travel farther than 12 and Ryan, try the pizza at Vivios! I'm definitely going to try the Philly sub soon also. Excellent food and service! Most of my meals I've ate at Vivio's have been really good (burgers, chicken parm sandwich, tacos, ect.)! The service is always been very friendly as well! The problem I have with Vivio's is the prices are VERY high even though the food is good. I got a side Caesar salad with my meal and it was 5.95. I've NEVER heard of a side salad at a bar being this expensive! Also any substitutions (waffle fries for normal fries, Ect.) are 2-3 dollars. This can really add up when most meals are 10-15 dollars to begin with. I would say the food and service are a 5 star but price is 2 star so my overall rating would be a 3.5. Will be back but not as often as the prices are very high compared to other bars in the area. read more

The wife and I were sitting around the house sat. afternoon deciding where to go for dinner. We decided to go to Vivio's and try the food. We had never been before. The food was great. I had the mussels. The waitress suggested Parmesan and Cajun sauce. Not too hot but u knew it was there. Fantastic choice. The wife had the chef salad. She loved it!! GF and I came in for dinner after work.. After a long day at work you're hungry and want some good food.. So the positive.... Fries were good, the "Spice/Flavor" style which they gave a good amount of them... Other than that nothing more on the positive section Onto the negatives. I ordered a Dinty Moore, I'd like to call it Dinty Less or Coleslaw Sandwich. There was 80% Coleslaw 20% meat... Spotted our waitress twice giving us our drinks and giving us our food.. Never asked how everything is nor asked for refills, another waitress came by to ask.. With my GF meal and mine, plus fries don't come with the sandwich "no idea why" it was $29.95... The furthest thing from my mind as I walked into this Eastern Market bar-restaurant was "mussels". I walked out with new found knowledge of a most unlikely place specializing in mussels prepared SEVEN different ways! After watching 4 pots of steaming mussels delivered to the table next to ours and listening to Rhonda, our excellent server, sing their praises, my co-worker and had to jump on a pot of Parmesan Mussels as an appetizer. They were served steaming hot with drawn butter and garlic toast. Excellante! I also ordered an Italian Sausage Sandwich with extra onions and peppers. Rhonda definitely got the cook's attention with my special request as I could barely see the Sausage under mountains of deliciously prepared sautéed onions and green peppers (see pic). Vivio's needs a little sprucing up of the restaurant's exterior but it is clean and very comfortable inside. Highly Recommended for the outstanding mussels and great service. read more

Got a coupon for bogo pizza. Was told by several people the food was good. Went last night to try it out. Pizza was great! Ordered chicken, hand breaded, juicy and also top notch service. Can't complain. Drinks were prompt and the atmosphere was a little more on the bar side but was still fine for our kids as it was borderline restaurant and the both we were in in the corner kept us all together. read more

I've lived down the street from this place for over 8 years, and driven by here almost daily. From the outside, it's very unassuming. Dark, tinted windows, parking lot in the back. You'd never know what a gem this place really is. I've been here twice. Here's the long and the short of it. Pros: + Holy bloody marys! They have a bunch to choose from, including a $20 monster that's more meal than drink. + Chicken Parm off the chain. Hot on the inside, and tender and juicy. Not microwaved. I'm always scared my chicken parms are microwaved. + Ribs tender. Falls off the bone! + Cajun Shrimp bomb af. + Daily menu and specials. + Manager and owner is chill af. He went around and talked to every table on xmas eve. + Lots of choices on menu. + Tater tots delicious! brings me back to my middle school days. Cons: +Mussels done better at Monk Beer Bar in Royal Oak. But my friend swears by them here, so I guess it's personal preference. +Ribs had some kind of tendons in them. Not sure if this was supposed to be there. +Ribs not baked with sauce or rub on them. It was put on after for mine. Weird. Let's start with the service. It was awful, some of the worst service I've ever received. It took 15 minutes to get a beer(not exaggerating), my SO went to a bar to get a refill on a Coke and another waitress brought us our silverware. On top of that, she seemed like she REALLY didn't want to be at work. I had to ask for a drink menu and a Bloody Mary menu. When you're known for your bloody Mary's you'd think the menu would be on the table. My SO ordered a Labatt and I got a BLT Bloody Mary. The Labatt was good, the BM wasn't that great. There was definitely a good amount of alcohol, but the flavor was off and the bacon was really greasy. We also ordered two of the not so caramel apple shots. Which were neither caramel-y or Apple-y. We started with the bronco sticks, which were a special. They were decent, definitely need more sauce with them. My SO got the pastrami burger and I ordered the Cajun mussels, we decided to split. The pastrami burger was delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had, I would definitely get it again. Mussels were good, just not very filling. The garlic bread with it was amazing. If you dip your fries in the cajun juice it's good too. Was this a 60 dollar meal? No. But I can definitely tell this place was just having an off day, so I hope to give this place a better rating with my next visit. read more

My family and I always like going to Vivios. Good food and service. We went there yesterday to find they had no drink or happy hour specials for now. In fact, they raised their prices on drinks to try and off set the loss during the covid shut down?!?! We had 2 beers each, for a total of 6 beers, my wife and I split a small nacho and and my kids split a club sandwich. Tab was 72.00 bucks! After tip 85 bucks for a few beers an appetizer and a sandwich? Sadly, we won't be heading back to Vivios anytime soon. read more

We waited far too long for how slow they were. Finally, after about 15 minutes our drinks showed up! I got a margarita with an extra shot, even then it still wasn't up to par so it went down pretty fast. I had the Detroit Dipper.. So, this is great!! My sandwich was suppose to come with a side of Au Jus.. but it wasn't au jus it was French onion soup!! I actually stopped her to ask and just laughed really hard. I mean it is what it is!! I think I ate maybe 2-3 bites before I was like yeah, I'm done. I order another margarita and had the extra shot put on the side, can I say, what a difference that made!! Anyways, we sat there for a bit to kind of get a feeling for the place. They weren't very busy and they were extremely slow with service. The night I stopped by Vivio's in Warren, the place was packed. A live band was playing, the bartenders were constantly busy mixing drinks and pouring drafts, and the mostly young crowd seemed to be having a wild night out. Having visited many bars in Warren (mostly for work), I can honestly say this is not your typical Warren bar. The city is certainly not one of Metro Detroit's wealthiest, and many of the bars are neighborhood dives. Now, there is certianly nothing wrong with a dive bar-- they generally have great food, cheap drinks, and the friendliest and most efficient bartenders. However, everytime I go into a dive bar for work or on social occassions, I get hit on by men who are always older and usually creeper than I'd like to date. Not at Vivio's. The boisterous, fun-loving bar-goers appeared to be a young crowd, many in their 20s. I'd definitely go back to Vivio's or try the downtown Detroit location for a night out with friends.
