Stopped by the oldest gelateria in Florence - overall was decent, but my least favorite of the shops I tried in Florence. Serving was a touch smaller than others, and it wasn't quite creamy enough. But they did have black sesame which I haven't seen elsewhere. Walk in, pay at the counter and proceed to the gelato counter to get your cup. read more

Definitely a hole in the wall find! What an amazing spread of flavours they offer. The staff is super sweet and prompt. They offer cups in 5 prices, starts with 2.5. Each cup can have more than one flavour and I believe up to 4 as the cup sizes increase. I took the cream with chocolate chips and mango! The mango has to be one of the best mango gelato I had in whole of Europe so far. Loved the freshness and genuine mango flavour. I'd highly recommend this place read more

Our favorite gelato spot during our study abroad in Florence! It's tucked away on a quiet street and has such a homey and welcoming environment. The staff is super nice and their array of flavors is amazing! Everything tasted great and I am so glad my friend introduced me to this place!! I miss the gelato here and would highly recommend this to anyone in Florence! So much flavor and not too sweet! I don't know how to explain why but it simply is just the best!! read more

You know how most things taste EXTRA good when you're tired or hungry or both?? We came here on my sister's recommendation from TripAdvisor and an article in an airplane magazine where Judith Light described is as one of her favorite cheats or indulgences. This place is on a side street near a big piazza, not very easy to find. After hours traipsing the Uffizi, we needed a gelato lunch! We each got a large with 3 flavors. I believe mine were coffee, amaretto, and cherry. Like with most gelato places, you pay first then bring the receipt to the scooper. Instead of strolling with the food we sat inside, plenty of space, and enjoyed/relaxed. The flavors were awesome, so creamy! I wish they had bigger spoons, but cold treats were meant to be enjoyed one taste at a time. read more

After 10 days of traveling across Italy, Vivoli was the best gelato by far. Their pistachio and their rice gelato is sensational. There's nothing like those flavors anywhere in Italy and America. I'm tempted to come back to Florence sooner just for this gelato and a meal at Zeb, a mother-and-son run restaurant that you cannot miss. 5 stars!!!!!!! read more

Wow...the affogato. Again..a must visit in Florence. I learned they have a location in Disney Springs in Orlando...so anyone in the area there should take a visit. The affogato I had was truly exceptional - the velvety espresso poured over the creamy gelato created a harmonious blend of bitter and sweet flavors. When we travel we generally avoid going to the same place twice. Vivoli was the exception....we went three times. My wife loved the rice gelato. Imagine rice pudding but in gelato form. It was super unique and very good. She paired it with different options each time but liked the combo of rice and pistachio the most it seemed. Over our visits, I had the banana and chocolate chip, dark chocolate and orange, orange creme, lemon, and the caramelized pear, and the dark chocolate. The banana and the pear flavours were my best. The banana and chocolate had a great banana flavour to it. The caramelized pear was a bit sweeter and not as strong a fruit flavour. They made a great combo. All the flavours were good but those two were my favorites I will say, we also had a piadina one time. It wasnt great. Stick with the gelato. read more

Got the espresso with icecream. It was very delicious but I honestly this it's a little overpriced for 6 euros. Also got the large cup of gelato. Tried the rice, stratcietella, pistachio, and hazelnut. All flavors were amazing and the gelato was very creamy and delicious. Definitely would go back. There's a long line but it moves very quick. Learned about this Gelateria from I'll Have What He's Having and was excited to try. Waited in line, not knowing they were now TikTok famous for their beautiful affogato. The orange and cream gelato was good with real pieces of orange zest, which added an interesting bitterness. But the pistachio was disappointing. read more

For gelato this place is mid. You can get way better gelato in florence but i do like the coffee gelato, it's more unique but the gelato is mid. The service was bad. lines out the door and a confusing ordering process. The store looked cool and the line looked interesting but it still wasn't great. read more

Traveled to Florence for the first time and came across this place, called Florence's best affogato all over social media, and it lived up to the hype! Very beautiful presentation and the taste of their slightly bitter coffee with sweet gelato was brilliant! My parents (who have never tried affogatos) were hesitant to try it, but ended up all loving it as well! Only con would be it is a bit pricier for the amount and size (6 euros). However, I think it is well worth a try, especially if you're looking to explore Italian cuisine. read more

The cherry was just okay but I really enjoyed the black sesame. Hubby had pistachio and a strawberry cheesecake, and I liked the pistachio. There aren't many flavors to choose from, which is one of the signs of a good gelato place. While the gelato itself was good, the flavors didn't really appeal to me so I kind of just settled on those two. So if you want to try the flor di latte, seems you need to go way earlier than I did.
