I was looking for a place that would be able to tint the windows of my new Prius and VK Garage had the most reasonable pricing out of everyone that I messaged on Yelp. I set up an appointment with Paul for a window tint and went from there. Honestly, there were some hiccups with the tint and it took a couple of weeks to actually resolve, but I really appreciate the customer service and transparency Paul gave me about it. When the day came to drop off my car, Paul went over the percentages of tint that I was interested in. I ended up doing 35% for the front windows and 20% for the rear windows. I dropped off the car at 10AM and Paul gave me a time estimate of 3PM. I'm not sure how long window tints usually take, but since it's a small shop I assume they're busy with many projects throughout the day. I come back around 3PM and Paul texts me that it won't be ready until 5PM. Odd, but okay. I finally come at 5PM and Paul explains to me that there were some errors in the tint and they ended up scratching the rear view window as they were applying the tint. It wasn't a just some small scratch, as it went all across the majority of the window. Paul apologized and reassured me that they would cover the cost of the replacement, so I scheduled another appointment for the week after. I drop off the car again and they replace the window without an issue with an OEM part which was much appreciated. Unfortunately, I would have to come back again the next week as the new window has to set before they can apply the new tint again. The next week rolls around and we do the final appointment. This time it finishes pretty quick and I'm finally done with my car. Overall, I'm satisfied with the tint job and the car looks and feels much better now. A few small tiny bubbles here and there I noticed, but nothing major that was an eye sore like the scratch from before. Again, I understand that mistakes happen and I appreciate the honesty Paul and the staff showed by pointing this out. read more

Just picked up my BMW 428i from the shop after having an Airlift Suspension installed. The following details my experience from start to finish. First off, requested a quote through yelp and never got a response back. Must not use the yelp system much to reach back to customers. Then gave the shop a call to inquire about an airlift suspension installation and asked for a quote. Let Paul know I was possibly interested in a custom trunk setup. Said if would be best to stop by the shop and talk about as it's hard to give a clear estimate without seeing the car. Told me I was welcome to call and let him know ahead of time whenever I was ready to stop by. Did further research and couldn't find any other shop in the Bay Area that had credible experience installing Airlift suspension. Decided to call the shop back and let them know I'd stop by but couldn't get a hold of the shop and was left on voicemail. I live across the bay and didn't want to make the drive unsure if I'd be met with so confirming beforehand was ideal. Gave the shop a few calls everyday for a few days and left a voicemail. A week had passed by and no response, and came close to giving up. I left a message on their website and the next day Paul gave me a call and set me up for a date 2 weeks out. The weekend prior to the week I was supposed to drop off the car, Paul gave me a call asking if I wanted to drop it off that Monday as the customer that was scheduled that week was didn't have all the parts ready yet. I was ecstatic and eager to get this done so I agreed. Paul gave me an estimate based on the 3P system I was installing. Told me he'd have it done by the end of the week. Shop wasn't open until 10am and I had to drop it off before that because of work. Told me I could park it in front of his shop and drop off the keys at a secure location. Hadn't met Paul yet at any point but he was very reassuring and felt like a trustworthy guy. Throughout the whole Process, Paul stayed in contact giving me updates. I sent him a pic of the custom setup I was possibly interested which included mounting the tank on top of the trunk inside with hard lines however once I was given the quote I realized it was outside my budget and asked for a simple installation. Initially, the simple setup had the compressors and manifold below the carpet liner inside the trunk out of view however the compressors were too large and would have poked out, so I went with Paul's initial idea which looked clean as well. I sent pictures to Paul regarding the Fitment I was looking for and asked if he did alignments. He gave me a final quote which included installation + shaving inner front well + alignment, however the installation quote was $400 above the original quote. Asked Paul the next day why the increase and he admitted it was a mistake and had confused me with a 3H system which requires extra height sensors with the installation. He quickly apologized and honored his previous quote. Installation was complete the second night however it needed to stay the night to test for any possible leaks in the system. On the third day, it was ready for pickup. I finally met Paul, he gave me a rundown of the entire process. Ultimately he decided not to shave the inner front wells or do the alignment since the Fitment I wanted (Fender to lip) wasn't possible unless I ran a wider wheel/tire set up or I got spacers. Shaving the front inner wells wasn't necessarily and unless I had finalized my Fitment, there was no need for alignment if I was just going to end up making adjustments. Paul was also nice enough to give me a tutorial of the system. He explained that they installed an automatic water trap which doesn't require having to manually do it every month. The compressors were installed using isolated grommets, helping to reduce the noise. I mean everything about the install was perfect. Quick turnaround time, constant communication, reasonable prices, and professional work. VK garage is definitely a hidden gem in the Bay Area and I highly recommend coming here for you air suspension needs. Will be coming back once I've finalized adjustment to get the alignment done and possible fender rolling/shaving. read more

All I can say is that Paul and vK Garage is legit...! I called them up and talked to Quang about my air management issues. He then gave me options on which directions I can go to get the best bang for my buck. Holiday season sale came early so I pull the trigger on the parts I needed and finally decided to take my van in for a management upgrade. I then throw a curve ball at these guys and told Quang, I wanted to do a clean trunk set up w/ hard lines which he replied with a quick "Ok, let's dot it.." A day later after dropping off the van at vK Garage, Quang gave me a call and went over a detailed list of things he's going to do, what parts needed to be replace, what can be salvaged from the old management to keep the expenses within budget (which I highly appreciate. not tryna be cheap but have you ever heard the saying "Happy wife, happy Van Life..!") LOL. Anyways, I was kept under the loop the entire time, often sends teaser pictures until the work was finally done all I can say is... Quang quest, Quang werkz and Quang delivers...! Yeeeeee...! Pictures do not do justice on how clean the set up came out.. Remember I said "Happy wife, happy Van Life.."?? The trunk set up prolly was laced with some Jedi mind trickery, that my wife was actually very happy with the way it came out, she wanted to do the same thing on her 4th gen Odyssey. What..!!??
