Of course, you'll run into cosmetic defects and can see where some repairs have been done, but this is the norm. What elsecan you expect when people frequently move in and out of units? What really sets this place apart is management. Maegan and Becky were very hospitable and engaging from Day 1. They took the time to remember everyone's names and have friendly conversations while keeping business together. Anytime we had to call for a repair or a question, they didn't hesitate to respond! We recently had water shut off in south Asheville during the holidays. 3,000 plus people had no water for almost a week. But by Day 2, management had ordered a water tank to be on site. Staff came off of holiday break and stayed with the truck, helping residents refill water with whatever containers we had. I don't know of a landlord who would do that, yet Mountain View staff showed up for everyone!

The sixth closet was scheduled to be installed two months ago. The installer--who was very professional and pleasant--arrived only to discover that the materials provided did not fit the space due to an incorrect measurement. Mistakes happen, and we were understanding about that. Where the experience really began to sour was everything that followed. We had to initiate multiple follow-ups just to get back on their calendar. Although they did apologize, there was no tangible gesture of goodwill to recognize the mistake or the disruption it caused. Eventually, we were rescheduled for an install two months later, now set for two weeks from today. Despite the job still being incomplete, the final payment was withdrawn from our account a few days ago, which directly violates the agreement we had that payment would not be collected until the work was finished. Bottom line: If everything goes smoothly, you can expect a quality finished product. But based on our experience, if anything deviates from plan, communication, follow-through, and customer care can fall short.
