So, it is difficult to pay $ 800 dollars for a job that is done in one hour and 5 minutes. I understand inflation is high but there should be some kind of consideration with the customers. In any case yellow pages advertises the charge of $150 per hour, and that does include the commute of the technician to the site. In conclusion I got another technician who came to add the speakers and microphone to my computer in 15 minutes, he charged me $140.00dollars. I do not recommend this busines.

I found Liu on yelp and quickly called him, he was super responsive and told me to come by so he could check out what happened. He took about 10 minutes to look at my macbook and then told me how much it would cost to replace my now-toast motherboard, and that it would be a 50/50 chance that my ssd was recoverable. He didn't even charge me for this consultation, whereas other stores (corps) would have. Although I ended up not using Liu's services, I really appreciated his honesty, transparency, and promptness during that emergency.
