It was good but I had a amazing experience with Krystal in Ankeny. She was attentive, informative and made sure to enter my points into Allé. Krystal took her time doing my facial and I actually felt like I got a facial with her because my skin immediately started flaking after which is what it's supposed to do. Will definitely go back to see her often. She gave me a mini tour on all the skin care afterwards and explained in detail the Allé points and how you can receive products with your points for SkinMédica only. It would have been nice to be notified that my regular LE was not longer with the company and ex person would be doing them- since then I had Ali & Kristina and Taylor finish out my treatment appointments. Each LE does the treatment different, so I had no idea what to expect for the last 6 months of my treatments. I had to keep asking them to do it the way I preferred. This was the only reason for 4 stars in this review. I have had a hydrafacial with Taylor since, and she is wonderful, easy going and explains the treatment the entire time. They get to decide how long you wait between when those hairs grow back. They get to define what the boarders of your treatment area are. They will ask you your percent reduction and then tell you you've graduated, even with 20 hairs left. Maybe this works well for 20 year olds. But perimenopausal hair growth isn't linear and they treat everyone the same. Yes, I have hair reduction. But they get really skimpy on helping you after your initial work.

She then recommended $3800+ worth of moxie and other services, none of which could be done during my appointment. She also said that after those recommended treatments I would still be disappointed with the results, and would need additional expensive treatments. I left feeling very disappointed and self-conscious. I do appreciate the honesty of this conversation, but it was still incredibly disappointing and wasted my evening. It kind of felt like the aesthetician just wanted to be done with her day. It also felt like they were using the visia results to scare me into buying their treatment plan. At no time was anyone rude, she was very kind and direct. I've had an excellent experience with a hydrafacial in the past at the spa. I think it would be beneficial for them to ask what your skincare goals are, instead of just assuming that you're looking for flawlessness.
