My review of VMS Data is that it is a Schlock company, not to be trusted. They sold my company a "Google" listing on the first page of Google at $200 for a full year of support. I later found out that this listing was for GOOGLE MAPS which is not what I contracted for. I contested my credit card charge with my credit card company and with VMS data. SCAM DO NOT USE Wow, all I have to say is what an unprofessional, incapable business. I am actually shocked they are running and I hope their current customers can get out from their death grip easier than myself. I had originally hired them to create a website for me, $1,500. And they hosted it for $10/month, both fine. But then random charges of $18 would sneak in. On top of that, they sold me some overpriced "protection" plan for $100 and a google listing for $600. I am older and did not realize what I was signing up for until it was too late. When I called them to switch to a different company who is willing to help its customers, they said my service is now canceled and they would not help me, even though I've already paid for this month! To top everything off, they threatened me and my business. I may be old, but I will not succumb to a man behind a screen attempting to threaten my livelihood. What a disgrace. We were tired of the continuous (daily) robot calls about our listing being in trouble and that we were about to be drop. They conned us out of paying them and the calls continue, but they claim this is not their fault. When they call and you ask to speak to a manager they hand up on you or tell you that they are going to call you every hour of every day just to harass you. The OWNER of the company was very rude to us and would not refund our money even though they claimed to be with google and they needed to fix our ad so that we would not be dropped. I own a construction company and allowed VMS to list my business on Google for $275. The incessant calls from other companies like them were supposed to stop but they didn't. Don't fall for that like I did. They then talked me into upgrading my website....big mistake. The results were amateur at best and they took over 6 months to even produce some half-ass web design that a kid with a crayon could have done better. They charged my credit card $850 for this service even though I had formally notified them that I would not pay for their incomplete service. Even though it's not legal they charged my credit card anyway! I wouldn't even give them one star if it would let me. read more

If I could rate this ZERO stars I would. I see why this company's ratings are so low. I received a call from a man, VINCENT, who's phone script sounds very misleading. I understand the world of sales and telemarketing, AND I also worked at a digital marketing company myself, so I have a pretty good sense of noticing red flags. Nobody has time to waste and because he lost my trust in the first 3 minutes of trying to pitch a backdoor approach, I POLITELY told him my thoughts of why I don't trust him or his business and hung up. He proceeded to call back 7 times in a row to JUST tell me how rude I was and that he would report me to my boss (who heard the whole conversation sitting next to me) He proceeded to again ask to be transferred to my boss (good try Vincent) to complain about me, the gatekeeper. This is NOT a way a great customer service based company should train their first line of marketing. I hope VMS Data could learn from this. As an experienced sales professional, recruiter, trainer, and entrepreneur, myself, I don't feel confident in ever utilizing a company like VMS DATA. Apparently, everyone else's reviews reflect that same belief. As a DIGITAL MARKETING COMPANY, ironically, their YELP rating does not show evidence of best practices being carried out. Called my business with an automated robo call about updating my free google listing at 11:55am 3/30. The biz name was not on caller ID and the number was spoofed to look like a local call. I have been hounded by this scam in the past. Hit 1 and was connected to vms data. they said they work with google, and they wanted to fix my listing. Didnt make it much further than that b4 I told them off. Googled the number they called from and found it belonged to VMS data who I called and they said it was their number and that my google listing was flagged and needed to be fixed. Nope. Told them to cease contact and then filed a complaint with BBB and wrote a review that they spammed me on their FB page. They then messaged me and said I shouldn't have called them out. After BBB intermediated I requested they not contact us again in any capacity. Of course that isnt the end. They emailed me trying to "make it right" and say they where a legit company. All research pointed to the contrary. They have terrible reviews and are also known as Design Metrix LLC, whom the BBB gave an F for running the same scam. I had noticed they took my review down from there FB page, so I wrote on it again, robo spammers, which did not post because they changed the FB settings because... guess why? Other people also wrote that they got spam calls and VMS doesnt want the secret to get out. Oops. They then began to prank call me. So I called back and got nasty with them, I have no love for people trying to harass and scam me. They then went into my google plus and changed the status of my biz listing to permanently closed. They may have also messed with my search results. Very petty. Now a little back story on VMS, aka Design Metrix, Viable Marketing Concepts. It was started by a heroine junkie, who has since ODed and died. Continuing its legacy are John Hall and Lindsey Hall and Andrew Gilby, along with a few other of society's champions. So now I have to take time out of my day to deal with a bunch of telemarketing robo spam calling junkies who want to harm my biz out of spite and retaliation. i received a call from vms this morning from a telemarketer who would not give me the companies phone number. he said that there were problems with my google listing. when i tried to go over the problems with him he could not find anything wrong. my company name address and phone number were all listed correctly. after that he just hung up from a number which when i called back was disconnected. later that morning i looked up the company phone number, called and spoke with someone named matt who could not show me where my listing was wrong. this company sounds like a scam and i would never do business with them. i asked to be put on their do not call list, said good by and hung up. harold f. read more

I am not website savvy, and they said they would help me with my website's performance, and I didn't get what I paid for as I was informed that I would have to get a new website built by them. When I contacted them to find out what I could still get for my $200.00, they never responded. I complained to Discover Card and unfortunately, VMS prevailed. VMS Data uses a very wise/tricky sales tactic. Once they get you on the phone they friend you and acted as if they already worked for our company. After 10 minutes of talking and laughing etc, they transfer you to someone else who processed to do the same thing. During this time they already have asked you all the questions and have you completely set up and ready to be done. You've now spent 20-30 minutes on the phone with them. Then they hit you with, ok lets get the payment info and bam, your $500 in the whole. They are very cleaver and sneaky. It truly is great sales tactics on their end. You decide to sign up at this point believing how much they can help you. Then they tell you they will send you an email, in this email you must give them the rights to your current listing for them to be able to do their work. I never received the email so I asked them about it. They said it was sent and could not be resent. I said I didn't get. They said I had to find it or else they couldn't help me. At that point I asked for a refund and was given a call by a woman. She said there is no way to be given a refund but could help me with it all. At this point I know longer trust them and just wanted a refund. This turned into a yelling match and I said I will just have to dispute the charge from them on my credit card. She told me I'd never get it reversed. (must have practice at this) I called our credit card company and filed a dispute. After some time I got a response from the credit card saying they are unable to reverse the charge due to evidence VMS sent claiming they did the work for me. They sent screen shots of our current listings with Google, Yelp, and Bing claiming that they completed that work. This is incorrect. Those listings had been completed in house with our business. Not by VMS. I again reached out to them and told them it was lies and I needed a refund before writing reviews with how they have acted. I was then given an email stating they would still do the work for me if I would allow them however they will not refund my money. They also stated that if I write any bad reviews about them they will sue me for slander and any other harmful actions I take against them. I have been called by them about 20 times in the past 30 Days, it sounds legit at first, them stating that they want to update my google business profile, and that it has been flagged by google for removal. I asked if they were trying to charge me for it or if it was free? They Said free. I went along with it for one conversation. When I asked them why google did not notify me, they said that they are a service provider for google and acting on their behalf. I went through the steps basic profile update questions, making sure that i didnt share any personal information with them. Upon a 25 minute conversation with 2 different folks, they stated that it was going to be a $300 fee to update everything. SHAME SHAME SHAME on Them. I let them know that they are doing predatory fraud under false pretenses and that should stop getting a paycheck from honest uninformed people that get suckered into this.
